Are You Wanting a Tax Hike? David Axelrod Says You Want One

What world did he find an America where the people want tax increases? This man, like all the rest of the Obama regime, is out of touch with normal people!

Washington Examiner:

David Axelrod, President Obama’s top campaign strategist, argued that Americans have changed in recent years and now will approve of a president running on tax increases.

“I’ve often said to you, I don’t think the past is always prologue in politics,” Axelrod said on Morning Joe when reminded that campaigning on tax increases, historically, ends in failure. “What’s changed is, we had these massive tax cuts in the last decade that were skewed to the wealthy and it helped promote huge deficits . . . and the American people know that, and they know that they haven’t benefitted nearly to the degree that people at the top did.”

Teenager’s Shocking Image Concealed by School……

Seriously, wait until you get the shocking image she painted that the school painted over!

One would think, parents would band together, not just at this school, but schools around our country, and demand these damn liberal assholes who call themselves educators be fired!

A mural at a US high school was deemed so offensive that school officials were moved to conceal one particularly controversial scene.

Following negotiations, however, the shocking image depicted by teenager Liz Bierendy may now be viewed:

Bierendy, a junior, painted a mural depicting the life of a man ending with the man being married and standing with his wife and child.

Inquiring minds want to know:

{snip}

So what happened to the conservative backlash to the most radical leftist president ever?

It’s been undermined from several corners.

Most of America is conservative, as polls have repeatedly found.

But that is almost completely nullified by the fact that the majority of Americans still gets news from television, that great devourer of thought processes.

It used to be said that the medium is the message. In our modern day, the media have used their ability to shape the message to create a whole new reality. And the persistent message of the leftist media is that conservatism is the equivalent of evil.

You’ve all heard it:  Conservatives get called Nazis by liberals on a daily basis. If you are a conservative and you’ve never been called a Nazi, or worse, you’ve been hiding your light under a bushel.

The media message has a hold on Americans that is unswayed by truth, history or sense. Nazis, or National Socialists, of course were firmly on the left side of the political spectrum, with their love of government control, elimination of private property, racial stratification, environmental regulation and eugenics. But because the media unerringly broadcast a message 180 degrees opposite the truth, the boogeyman in the American mind is conservative.

That image is used to push conservatives out of the way once again as Americans are maneuvered into accepting a non-alternative to the liberal disaster currently occupying the Oval Office.

{snip}

The GOP leadership itself is no help, either. They have played footsies for too long with their counterparts in the Democratic Party. There is little ideological difference between them, and the GOP leaders seem content to let Obama have his way.

The GOP has managed to diffuse the conservative anger in this country by undermining the Tea Party movement from within, first co-opting the Tea Party Express, breaking off the Florida Tea Party, then buying out the national Tea Party Patriots, leading to a — perhaps orchestrated — schism with the California Tea Party and other groups across the country.

The Japanese cashier at Peas and Pickles in Brooklyn asks me if I need a bag.

I say, “What do you think – I plan to juggle my sushi, Gatorade and miso soup? Of course I need a bag.”

“If you care about the environment you won’t use a plastic bag,” he says.

“You can care if you want,” I say. “But I don’t. You think you’re going to change the world?”

“A long distance is walked by small footsteps,” he says.

Sounds very Zen to me.  I answer, “Small footsteps  go in reverse and hurt people behind us.”

I am so sick of people talking about helping the environment when they haven’t invented anything to replace fossil fuels. They talk about a chimera.  There isn’t a ghost of chance that they will improve anything.  They are at a standstill while they brag that they can change the world.  Windmills, solar energy, electric cars are all a joke that bankrupt our country.  Al Gore and the environmental clowns are making a fortune by suckering us into unworkable energy schemes. When they invent a real alternative energy they should let us know. Until then the environmentalists should live in their own fantasies.

“I like that line about small footsteps go in reverse,” the cashier says. I nod.  It was pretty good.

“Will you give up your naïve environmentalism?”  I ask.

“No.”

As NewsBusters reported last week, Matt Damon is making an anti-fracking movie called “Promised Land.”

On Fox News’s The Five Monday, Greg Gutfeld took issue with this saying, “I think someone must have pumped sand and water through Damon’s head because he certainly exudes enough natural gas to power a small city” (video follows with transcript and absolutely no need for additional commentary):

GREG GUTFELD: So Matt Damon is making an anti-fracking movie. Yay! John Krasinksi will star, no doubt also an expert on this cruel practice that extracts natural gas. Boy, I hope he makes goofy faces like he does on “The Office.” Adorable.

But like every film these days it’s just a remake. In the spirit of destroying an industry it harkens back to “The China Syndrome,” that shrill antinuke screed from the ’70s. If you think culture doesn’t shape politics, remember that nuclear power is still recovering from that celebrity-driven smear. Which means you can blame Hollywood for our dependence on oil right now.

So why hate fracking? Isn’t it just a horizontal windmill shattering rocks instead of birds? Well, the greenies hate it because it works. Yeah, a funny thing happened on the way to Solyndra: fracking put us toward a path towards energy independence making the green efforts look kind of silly.

And Matt knows we can’t have that. Then America wouldn’t be the bad guy anymore.

Questions arise over recent theft incident 4/6/2012 I read in the paper on Tuesday about a woman whose auto was burglarized. A purse worth $400, a wallet worth $200 and food stamp cards were taken. My question is this: How does a woman who can afford a $400 purse and $200 wallet qualify for food stamps?

See how our president and his regime treat our security?

(IPT) — The State Department broke with normal procedures last week when it ordered the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) not to conduct a secondary inspection on members of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) on their way to visit government officials and think tanks in the United States.

This happened despite the fact that one member of the delegation had been implicated – though not charged – in a U.S. child pornography investigation, the Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT) has learned.

According to senior enforcement sources and documents reviewed by the IPT, investigators had information tying Abdul Mawgoud Dardery to the pornography investigation that was based in Pennsylvania. He was the senior member in the four-person FJP delegation which held court with academic groups and met with senior officials at the White House and State Department last week.

Weekly Standard:

As the chart shows, America’s debt is currently $15.1 trillion, while the Eurozone (which includes France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Spain, the U.K., and others) has a combined debt of $12.7 trillion. (All dollar amounts are in U.S. dollars, and the data refers to closing 2011 numbers.)

The Eurozone is larger than the United States, so America’s debt per capita also exceeds the Eurozone’s. According to the Census Bureau, the U.S. has a population of 313 million, whereas the Eurozone has a population in excess of 331 million.

Bet Obama promised to do something, but only after the election.

(Times of Israel) — According to US sources, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has agreed to hold off a theoretical Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities until the fall, Maariv reported on Tuesday.

During his meeting with US President Barack Obama last month, Netanyahu reportedly pledged not to take an offensive operation against Iran until after the upcoming US presidential election, to be held on November 6.

Netanyahu reportedly agreed to give more time for diplomacy and increased sanctions to have an effect on Iran.

The report said that Netanyahu and senior Israeli military officials believe that Iran will enter a “zone of immunity” in about six months — when their facilities will be developed to a point where an Israeli strike would not be effective in knocking them out.

US military officials remain opposed to a strike and to potential US involvement.

Now if this had been white men beating a black man? The liberal press would be screaming this story night and day, until Sharpton and Jackson got involved, and they then would get Obama and Holder in on the act, as they did in the Zimmerman case, and want these men killed, locked up, arrested, and so forth. But since these are Obama and Holders’ people, nothing will be said by the liberal press and nothing will be done by Holder, FBI, DOJ, etal. Simply because Obama and the rest keep bringing race into everything, black people now get a free ride to beat up white people. Hell, Obama and company probably sit around and laugh about situations like this.

(Gainesville Sun) — Gainesville police are investigating the beating of a 27-year-old man that they believe to have been “racially motivated”.

The man was walking home from midtown bars in Gainesville Tuesday morning when he said he was jumped by five to eight men who yelled “Trayvon” before the attack.

The shouting sounds to be a reference to Trayvon Martin, the 17-year-old Miami native who was shot and killed in February in Sanford while walking back to his father’s girlfriend’s house. George Zimmerman, the man who shot Martin, has not been charged.

Martin’s case has stirred controversy around the nation. He was an unarmed black teenager who was killed by Zimmerman, who was a Hispanic crime-watch volunteer.

Gainesville investigators told The Gainesville Sun that they believe Tuesday morning’s attack stemmed from the Martin case.

“We do believe that the crime was racially motivated,” Gainesville Police Department spokeswoman Cpl. Angelina Valuri said.

Valuri said the victim was white and the attackers were black. [...]

But Valuri said his injuries were consistent with being jumped by a group.

During what he told police was a five-minute beating, he sustained injuries to the left eye, abrasions to his palms and a cut on his right kneecap, and Valuri said he would likely have “permanent disfigurement to the left side of his face.”

I am of the opinion, and probably rightly so, that  he’ll drop the class warfare schtick during his fundraisers….

(Palm Beach Post) — President Obama makes his first visit to Palm Beach County as chief executive today — raising campaign cash in Palm Beach Gardens and calling for higher taxes on the wealthy in Boca Raton before heading to more fundraisers in Hollywood and Golden Beach.

The presidential visit could cause some traffic snarls as Obama moves about the county.

After Air Force One makes a late-morning landing at Palm Beach International Airport, Obama is scheduled to visit the Palm Beach Gardens home of former Pratt & Whitney executive Hansel Tookes for a $10,000-a-plate lunch to raise money for his reelection effort.

The president will then travel to the Boca Raton campus of Florida Atlantic University for what is billed as a non-campaign event on the economy. Obama is expected to promote the “Buffett Rule,” a call for those making $1 million or more per year to pay at least 30 percent of their income in taxes.

Democrats are pushing the millionaire’s tax as a Senate prepares for a procedural vote on a Buffett-inspired bill next week.

Obama’s FAU speech is open only to students, staff and faculty who got tickets through an online lottery. A crowd of about 3,000 is expected.

Obama will be the second sitting president to visit the university. Lyndon Johnson attended the school’s dedication in 1964. FAU also hosted a Republican presidential debate in 2008 and the Dalai Lama in 2010.

After his FAU appearance, Obama will head to Hollywood for a fundraiser at the Westin Diplomat Hotel, then to Golden Beach for a $15,000-a-head dinner fundraiser at the home of attorney Jeremy Alters in Golden Beach.

While Obama rails against evil rich people today keep this story in mind, Clooney plans to sell 150 tickets at $40,000 a pop to his rich buddies, which comes out to a cool $6,000,000 for The One’s reelection.

(ET Online) — ET can exclusively reveal that George Clooney is hosting a fundraiser for President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign — but there’s one thing he won’t do to help the president.

Clooney tells ET, “I’m proud to do whatever I can to support the President… as long as no one asks me to sing.”

Of course the singing reference brings to mind the president’s own, well-demonstrated singing talent that he has showed off at least twice in recent months.

Clooney will host the president and about 150 supporters at the event on May 10 at his home in Los Angeles, California. If you think it will be cheap to get a chance to hobknob with an Oscar winner and a president, though, think again — tickets will run $40,000 each, with proceeds going to the Obama Victory fund, a joint fundraising committee of Obama for America, the Democratic National Committee and several state Democratic parties.

If these had been republicans, you know she would not be forgiving at all! Liberals “Do as we tell you, not as we do” assholes.

Politico:

Debbie Wasserman Schultz said Monday that she is sticking by her aide whose controversial “Jewbags” comment on Facebook has caused the Democratic National Committee a headache, calling the staffer “incredibly poised [and] intelligent.”

“She was 20 when she posted that picture,” Wasserman Schultz said of Danielle Gilbert after an event in Sunny Isles, the Miami Herald reports. “I spoke to my own children and gave that unfortunate posting as an example of how, no matter what you think is funny among your friends, nothing on social media is private.”

The Florida congresswoman’s defensive comments came days after reports first surfaced that Gilbert, a DNC staffer who serves as the committee’s Jewish outreach liaison, was pictured in a photo on Facebook in which she referred to herself and others in the picture as “Jewbags.”

Gilbert has since apologized for the postings on the social media outlet, saying she “meant no offense.” DNC spokesman Brad Woodhouse defended Gilbert’s role at the committee while also warning that “no smear driven by the right wing noise machine is going to impact her status as a trusted member of this team.”

But you will be called a  “Islamophobe” if you bring up any mention of Islam’s blood lust!

MOGADISHU, Somalia (AP) — A blast rocked a vegetable market in Somalia’s third-largest city, killing at least twelve people and wounding at least 30, officials said Monday, and the country’s top militant group claimed responsibility.

Prime Minister Abdiweli Mohamed Ali slammed the group for the bombing.

“What they did was contrary to Islam and our culture … We are committed to clear (Al Shabab) out of the country.”

Baidoa police officer Abdullahi Ahmed said the blast was caused by a roadside bomb, while witness Nur Yusuf said the bomb was concealed in a thermos placed along the street where he sells vegetables.

“So far, we know eight people died and fifteen others were injured,” Ahmed said. “The death toll may rise, but it was a cowardly attack targeting civilians — we have arrested one suspect after the blast.”

Eyewitness Fadumo Haji said she saw the carnage.

“They killed innocent and poor people,” she said.

The al-Shabab militant group claimed responsibility for the attack. Baidoa was a major base for the group until Ethiopian troops and Somali soldiers seized the key town in February.

Betcha that during the big revolution in Russia, all them bolsheviks led by Lenin, that this was one of their classic lines and Obama, being a good commie, just stole it.

BuzzFeed:

President Barack Obama will launch into a scathing critique of “trickle-down economics” during an official stop on a day-long fundraising swing through Florida this afternoon.

Obama, who is promoting his “Buffett Rule” which would set a minimum effective tax rate for millionaires and billionaires, will blame the slow pace of economic recovery at least in part on the widening income gap between the middle class and the wealthiest in society.

“What drags down our entire economy is the growing gap between the ultra-rich and everyone else,” Obama will say.

You know, it is damn time for the Catholic Church, from the Pope on down, to get very political! Be best also if they defrocked and chased off all those liberal priests we have in this county.

LifeNews:

A leading Catholic cardinal at the Vatican has essentially said that complying the with Obama birth control mandate would have Catholics and Catholic organizations participating in sin.

The mandate compels religious employers to pay for birth control and drugs that may cause abortions in health coverage for their employees and a revised mandate will compel them to refer employees for free coverage from their health insurance plans, which will eventually have the payment mandate.

In an upcoming episode of Catholic Action Insight hosted by Thomas McKenna to air on EWTN on Wednesday, Cardinal Raymond Burke speaks out for the first time on the controversial mandate.
