Now this is a feel good story! So much better when you think he could have just bought what he wanted and left. Which brings me to this: why can’t rich people around the USA do the freaking same thing?
A Kentucky businessman has delivered an early Christmas for his county’s Community Services department.
Rankin Paynter was shopping at a soon-to-close K-Mart in Winchester when the idea struck him.
Paynter asked the clerk what would happened to all the merchandise that hadn’t been sold by the store’s final day.
When told it would be sent to other stores, he decided to buy it himself.
Paynter bought the entire store inventory.
He then donated the items to Clark County Community services.
“What I see is people coming in my store, needy people sell their stuff,” said Paynter, who owns a jewelry exchange business. “It’s bad nowadays. I just told the clerk, let’s just give it away to charity.”
Doing all this buying started a six-hour, four cash register process that left him with $200,000 in merchandise. He donated all of it to charity — every last item. “This will be the first year we have enough hats, coats, and gloves for all the children that we serve,” a Clark County Community Service employee said.
“It’s time to give back,” Paynter said, smiling.
Read HERE. Oh, have your sound turned off because this site, like so damn many on the internet, has a video that starts playing at once!
(don’t you just hate going to any site, but especially a news site, and have some damn video start playing automatically? Blasting you with something if you have your sound on? Whomever came up with the damn idea that visitors just love to see and hear some video with no input on their part should be forced to listen to these for a straight 72 hours)
I’m just posting this to show that there are people out there I have never heard of but who love to pontificate like we are buddies.
This isn’t just plain ol’ asshattery. This is a crowning achievement that will be remarked upon with glee by asshats for generations.
James Lipton of “Inside the Actors Studio” lectures Mitt Romney on how to relate to people. You know, because when I think common man I think James Lipton. It actually says little about Romney but all you’ll ever want to know about James Lipton, who not only criticizes Romney but Ronald Reagan too.
What a jerk.
I’m sure all of Lipton’s friends will huzzah him for this pointed barb but I’m telling you that if I had a choice of watching this on YouTube again or watching skateboarders damage their junk on handrails, I’m choosing exploding junk on handrails every time. Yeah, it’s that painful.

(CNSNews.com) — House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said she stands with the White House in opposing a provision in the House defense authorization bill that would prohibit anyone in the military from ordering a chaplain to act against his or her “conscience, moral principles, or religious beliefs” or against the religious beliefs of the denomination to which he or she belongs.
Pelosi described the conscience-protection provision as a “fraud.”
The provision is broadly written to deny anyone in the armed forces the authority to “direct, order, or require a chaplain to perform any duty, rite, ritual, ceremony, or function” that is contrary to his or her conscience, moral principles or religious beliefs or the principles or beliefs of his or her religious denomination.
Among other things, the provision would protect a chaplain from deleterious career repercussions if he or she refused to perform a same-sex marriage ceremony because it violated their religious beliefs.

Hezbollah Commander With American Blood On His Hands Turned Over To Iraqi Custody By Obama About To Be Released…
Allen West sums it up best: “An utter betrayal” of American soldiers.
(Fox News) — Republicans on Capitol Hill are furious over the Obama administration’s handling of a purported Hezbollah commander, who was connected to the killing of five U.S. soldiers in 2007 and now is set for release by an Iraqi court.
The most recent GOP lawmaker to express frustration and to demand answers from the administration is Florida Rep. Allen West, who on Wednesday sent a letter to President Obama questioning why Ali Musa Daqduq was turned over to Iraq in December 2011.
West dismissed the argument by Obama officials that they were forced under a Bush administration agreement to release Iraqi citizens upon exiting in December 2011, saying Daqduq was in fact a Lebanon citizen.
“You had options when dealing with this terrorist,” wrote West, a 22-year Army veteran. “When you were elected president, the American people expected you to provide leadership.”
West suggested Daqduq should have been transferred to the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, where he could have been tried before a military commission. He also called Daqduq’s release an “utter betrayal” to American soldiers who have died in Afghanistan and Iraq.
U.S. officials think Daqduq, while helping train insurgent groups, plotted and orchestrated the attack in the Iraqi city of Karbala that resulted in the deaths of the soldiers.
West’s letter follows one sent by Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee on May 10 — three days after the Iraq court cleared Daqduq of criminal charges and ordered his release.
The letter to Attorney General Eric Holder and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta suggests the administration waited until Daqduq was in Iraqi custody before filing murder, terrorism and other charges. It also states the administration intentionally kept information from Capitol Hill lawmakers, who learned about the purported charges and Daqduq’s ordered release through New York Times stories.
I had to laugh when I read all this!
TheDC Satire: As her efforts to prove that she has Cherokee ancestry became increasingly desperate, Democratic Massachusetts Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren reached out to a Native American leader earlier this month and asked for help. The Daily Caller has exclusively obtained the emails Warren sent to, and received from, the Native American leader, and they are reprinted here for the first time, in their entirety, and without comment.

As I’m sure you know by now, my opponent – a white man – disputes my connection to the tribe and our native soil. As our people say, “something only lives as long as the last person who remembers it,” which is why I need your help.
We struggle now to overcome the white man’s lies, but their untruths spread like great wildfires across the plains.
Scott Brown’s family history is written in blood, while ours lives in the oral tradition of our people. Now I need official identification to prove myself. Can you help me prove that we are kin?

As 9-year-old Josef Miles and his mother walked around Kansas’ Washburn University campus last weekend, he noticed a group of Westboro Baptist Church members picketing as people headed to graduation ceremonies.
Josef asked mom if he could create his own sign, and promptly staged a one-man protest. His sign, written in pencil on a tiny sketchpad, read simply, “God Hates No One.”
Ruin history just for some PC….
An official at the U.S. Naval Academy strongly is urging officers to no longer refer to the exercise “Indian runs” as such in order not to offend Native Americans, according to a series of emails sent from the academy’s equal opportunity adviser and obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.
Master Chief Christopher Gary informed all officers at the USNA complex in a May 14 email slugged, “Seriously Folks — This is Stereotyping,” that it is not appropriate to use the term “Indian run” in reference to the jogging exercise in which midshipmen run single file, and the man in the rear of the line sprints to the front, a process which is then repeated.
“The term ‘Indian Run’ is used to describe the alternating sprint exercises at various levels here at the Academy, and it is widely used among the public,” Gary wrote in the May 14 email. “I hope all can already see the problem with this, but let me be clear, this is a form of stereotyping.”
Have you been keeping up with the George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin case? Gets more and more interesting as more and more comes out! Funny that all the stuff coming out, those race baiters are keeping damn quiet and far away from Florida!
(ABC News) — Trayvon Martin, the 17-year-old who was shot and killed by a neighborhood watch volunteer, had the drug THC in his system the night of this death, according to new information obtained by ABC News.
The revelation came as prosecutors in the case prepared to release to the public hundreds of pages of new evidence along with videos and crime scene photos.
Martin’s death sparked public outrage after police released Martin’s shooter, George Zimmerman, without any criminal charges for the killing.
Zimmerman, 28, is a multi-racial Hispanic man who shot the black high school junior at close range on Feb. 26, and claimed self-defense, though Martin was unarmed. Zimmerman was later charged with second-degree murder, and the killing provoked widespread debate about racial profiling.
The autopsy report shows traces of the drug THC, which is found in marijuana, in Martin’s blood and urine.
Rahm Emanuel “Livid” Over Shelved Plan To Attack Obama Over Jeremiah Wright Maybe the Cubs can come to Des Moines? After all, no chicago politics, the Iowa Cubs farm team is in place, and the fans would love to have them here.
So is it because Obama is half black? Or that Jeremiah Wright preaches only black liberation?
President Barack Obama’s supporters are raising a claim of racism to quash a proposed $10 million ad-campaign that highlights the president’s personal ties to his one-time spiritual mentor Jeremiah Wright.
The pushback helps the campaign minimize Obama’s association with the controversial pastor, but it also keeps the public’s focus away from the stalled economy’s high unemployment, deficit and debt.
The information campaign must be rejected by an act of “moral leadership,” the campaign claimed in a 1:35 p.m. tweet from Obama’s official Twitter account.
Campaign manager Jim Messina also hinted that the proposed ad campaign — outlined today by the New York Times — was motivated by racism.
“The blueprint for a hate-filled, divisive campaign of character assassination speaks for itself,” Messina said in a press release. “Governor Romney has fallen short of the standard that John McCain set, reacting tepidly in a moment that required moral leadership in standing up to the very extreme wing of his own party.”
This is the funniest thing I have heard come from the Useless Nations! Shows you how the liberal/islamic/commie run UN wants to ruin any and all countries that are even remotely conservative!
The United Nations Human Rights Council has just launched a broadside against, wait for it, Canada. Its preposterously titled ‘Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food,’ Olivier De Schutter, has accused the Canadians of unacceptable “rates of food insecurity,” and has called on the federal government in Ottawa to adopt “a national right to food strategy.” Mr De Schutter himself is no stranger to controversy, recently penning a piece for The Guardian calling for the establishment of supranational “human rights courts” to address climate change. [...]
Stephen Harper’s Conservative administration has rightly blasted the UN report, as well as UN interference in the sovereign affairs of one of the world’s leading democracies. Canada’s health minister Leona Aglukkaq met with De Schutter, describing him as “an ill-informed, patronizing academic studying, once again, the aboriginal people, Inuit and Canada’s Arctic from afar.”
One would think the United Nations would be concerned with real deprivation and hunger, in places like North Korea and Zimbabwe, instead of focusing on one of the richest countries in the world, with among the highest overall living standards on the planet. Even the UN’s own Human Development Index (HDI) ranks Canada sixth in the worldout of 187 countries. But then again, De Schutter represents the discredited UN Human Rights Council, which includes in its membershipsome of the world’s worst human rights abusers, such as China, Cuba, Russia and Saudi Arabia. Its bar has been set so low that even Libya under Colonel Gaddafi was elected to membership. The HRC is a farce, and their latest report on Canada is further proof of it.
