Des Moines police arrest 12 protesters at Democratic headquarters

Ah, those occupy dirtbags! Now they are going after the hands that feed them. Wonder how long it will be before occupy nuts start doing this nationwide to democrat offices? And how long before the democrats start to disavow them?

Twelve protesters have been arrested at the Iowa Democratic headquarters this afternoon, as they protested that Guantanamo remained open and corporate donations to campaigns.

As arrests were going on, other protesters with the Occupy the Caucuses movement chanted, “Hey, hey, ho, ho, Obama close Guantanamo.”

Among those arrested was Frankie Hughes, 14, who earlier today told a Register reporter that she gets good grades.

More than two dozen protesters were at the Democratic headquarters, the fourth Des Moines-area site in two days that protesters have demonstrated at.

Voter ID: Holder Looks Through Race-Colored Glasses

Suffrage: Fresh from using his race as a defense in the Fast and Furious scandal, the attorney general blocks South Carolina’s voter photo ID law as discriminatory. Tell that to the Department of Motor Vehicles.

The Palmetto State can’t seem to catch a break from this administration. First, the right-to-work state gets harassed by the National Labor Relations Board over Boeing’s expansion into a new plant.

Now the Justice Department has blocked a voter ID law passed in May and signed by Gov. Nikki Haley.

Both federal actions, along with a Justice Department investigation into Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio, have the unstated goal of rallying to the president’s re-election banner consisting of various components of the Democratic base — from unions to African-Americans to Hispanics, all of whom need to be protected from those racist, anti-immigrant and anti-union Republicans.

Once again playing the race card, the Justice Department, which under Section 5 of the 1965 Voting Rights Act gets to review any changes to the election laws of 16 states including South Carolina until the end of time, has judged, without any factual evidence, the Palmetto State’s new law to be discriminatory.

(INN) — The Obama administration is trying to convince Israel to release arch-terrorist and mass-murderer Marwan Barghouti.

According to the Hamas-aligned Al Quds daily, Washington views Barghouti as its preferred candidate for Fatah to field against Hamas in Palestinian Authority (PA) elections in May 2012.

“A high-profile US delegation has regularly discussed with officials in Tel Aviv the option to free Al Barghouti to lead Fatah against Hamas in the next elections,” the sources that the daily did not identify, said.

The Al-Quds report comes as Arab capitals are abuzz with the news that PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas will not seek re-election, leaving Washington concerned Fatah has no one to field against Hamas.

However, the release of Barghouti, who was sentenced to five life sentences for as many terror related murders in Israel, and who security services say is responsible for at least 21 other murders, is widely opposed in Israel.

Indeed, even the suggestion that Barghouti might be released as a part of a deal to free 1,027 terrorists in exchange for kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit created a firestorm of outrage in the Jewish state.
