From Jammie Wearing Fools:
You would think these people would be a little more sensitive to cancer patients. What happens if one of these people dies during Obama’s coronation? Will Obama’s PAC buddies run commercials accusing him of murder?
On Tuesday, September 4th, the DNC will officially kick off. Tens of thousands from around the world will head to the Queen City and there’s no secret, the convention will have a major impact locally, including on people battling cancer.
Matthews resident Sue Falco is fighting stage four colon cancer, and says the DNC will force a major cancer treatment center to close. Carolina’s Hematology Oncology Associates on South Tryon will close for four days during the DNC, because of security and traffic concerns.
“It’s kind of fascinating how an event like this impacts a city,” Falco said
Carolina’s Hematology Oncology Associates will have two other locations open around Mecklenburg County during the DNC. An employee says South Tryon patients will be able to receive treatment at the two other locations.
“I’m very fortunate that I can drive myself to and from chemotherapy but I know a lot of people depend on family members who have to drive a distance to get to their therapy,” she said.
Democrats snivel and whine that voters are disenfranchised because they have to drive a couple of miles to get photo ID so they can legally vote. Not a peep from them about sick patients risking their lives to get chemo treatments while they party it up.

The irony of an Occupy-affiliated group bombing the Democrats would be rich.
CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – Law enforcement officials are concerned about possible violence by anarchist extremists at the upcoming Republican and Democratic national conventions, according to an intelligence bulletin prepared by the FBI and Department of Homeland Security.
The seven-page bulletin, obtained by WBTV, outlines information about potential anarchist extremism-related violent criminal activity and threats to public safety during the national political conventions, which start next week in Tampa.
At one point, the Joint Intelligence Bulletin states that anarchists could try to use improvised explosive devices.
“Anarchist extremists and other domestic extremist groups probably lack the capability to overcome the heightened security measures at the RNC and DNC venues,” the report states, “but could target nearby infrastructure, including local businesses or transportation systems and law enforcement personnel.”
The report states that a majority of anarchist activities during major events usually involve acts of property damage, vandalism and trespassing. Past extremists have escalated to violent tactics such as assault and arson.
According to the unclassified document, individuals were reported coordinating criminal actions against the Bank of America in Charlotte, via a free downloadable software application, in May 2012.
A spokesperson for the Charlotte office of the FBI told WBTV that she could not comment on the document.
“I can tell you the FBI utilizes a variety of means to communicate with law enforcement and share information to assist in their overall situational awareness.” she told WBTV.
The document notes anarchists have a history of trying to disrupt major events.
“During past national and international political and economic events, anarchist extremists have blocked streets, intersections, and bridges to disrupt or impede local business operations and public transportation access and, in some instances have initiated violent confrontations with police,” the document states.

According to Bloomberg, Americans are having fewer babies since Obama took office.
I wonder why that is.
The article says something about the economy being the reason, but that doesn’t seem right. Less money to buy rubbers would lead to more babies, not fewer.
No, there’s something else going on.
I think it’s because Obama has been on TV so much. Think about it. After watching him on TV, are you really “in the mood?”
Oh, heck. That darn news channel has him on, jabbering about something.
So, if you will excuse me, I’m going to go not have sex.

From Michelle Malkin at The Patriot Post:
Can we stop calling the hosts of the presidential debates “moderators”? They’re left-erators. It’s time for the old media godfathers to end the pretense that they’re fair and neutral observers of the American political scene. And it’s time for the GOP to stop perpetuating these rigged exercises in futility.
Last week, the Commission on Presidential Debates announced the names of 2012′s chosen referees: CNN’s Candy Crowley, PBS’s Jim Lehrer and CBS’s Bob Schieffer will preside over the three presidential debates; ABC’s Martha Raddatz will host the sole vice presidential debate. While the debate panel trumpeted the gender diversity of its picks, the chromosomal diversity is far outweighed by the political uniformity, class conformity and geographical homogeneity of the group.
Crowley has lived and worked in D.C. for liberal CNN for a quarter-century. Raddatz worked for liberal National Public Radio for five years before joining ABC News; she has been based in the D.C. bureau for the better part of a decade. Schieffer has been a fixture in the nation’s capital at CBS News, home of the faked Rathergate documents, for three decades. Lehrer, the liberal patriarch of PBS News, is nearly as aged a Beltway monument as the Washington Monument itself.
The presidential debates are the last bastion of “mainstream” media self-delusion in the 21st century. They are a ritual laughingstock for tens of millions of American viewers who have put up with leading, softball questions for Democratic candidates and combative, fili-blustery lectures for Republican candidates campaign cycle after cycle. Now, Democrats are lobbying the supposedly nonpartisan debate commission to disallow questions about President Obama’s phony dog-and-pony deficit panel.
Why does the Republican Party agree to play along with this ideologically stacked deck masquerading as an objective pantheon of disinterested journalism? The Romney campaign’s capitulation to the liberal debate racket and its narrative-warpers comes at a time when more and more members of the Fourth Estate itself are admitting that they have served or been treated as tools for the Obama administration:
–Just this week, ABC News correspondent Jake Tapper told conservative talk-show host Laura Ingraham that he “thought the media helped tip the scales” for Obama. “I didn’t think the coverage in 2008 was especially fair to either Hillary Clinton or John McCain. Sometimes I saw with story selection, magazine covers, photos picked, (the) campaign narrative, that it wasn’t always the fairest coverage.” Duh.
–MSNBC political analyst Mark Halperin acknowledged this weekend on the “Today” show that the Beltway press corps is helping Obama drive campaign issues that most voters don’t care about: “I think the press still likes this story a lot. The media is very susceptible to doing what the Obama campaign wants, which is to focus on (Mitt Romney’s tax returns). … Do voters care about it? I don’t think so. … I think it’s mostly something that the press and insiders care about.”
–Another MSNBC political reporter, Chuck Todd, disclosed that gaffetastic Vice President Joe Biden’s staff was trying to edit the press pool reports to cover for the second-in-command’s lack of rhetorical command. “This is an outrage that they do this,” Todd said.
–Independent political blogger Keith Koffler of whitehousedossier.com reported this week that Team Obama was dictating interview topics to local TV reporters in battleground states, just after holding a kabuki press conference on Monday to capitalize on the Missouri GOP Rep. Todd Akin “legitimate rape”/magical uterus debacle. “In interviews with three local TV stations Monday, two from states critical to Obama’s reelection effort, Obama held forth on the possibility of ‘sequestration’ if he and Congress fail to reach a budget deal, allowing him to make his favorite political point that Republicans are willing to cause grievous harm to the economy and jobs in order to protect the rich from tax increases,” Koffler reported. “The reporters mostly made no effort to hide the arrangement. ‘The president invited me to talk about sequestration,’ NBC 7 San Diego’s reporter told her audience.

From Victor Volsky at American Thinker:
Just about any gregarious conservative can register the same complaint: his friends of a liberal persuasion firmly believe in evolution, the hydrocarbon menace, technogenic global warming, and the virtues of green energy; they are convinced that racism is still rampant in America, that all the ills of inner-city schools can be cured by throwing more money at them, that criminals are actually victims of society, that voter fraud is a myth concocted by evil conservatives, that cheating at the polls is a sacred right of minorities, that illegal immigrants have committed no crime even though the word “illegal” is self-explanatory, that George Bush attacked Iraq at the behest of Halliburton to grab Iraqi oil…
In short, it is always the same mantra, demonstrably stupid and illogical, yet fervently espoused by all ardent liberals, irrespective of their social status or educational attainments.
How to account for it? And why are liberals totally impervious to any counter-arguments — on those rare occasions, that is, when they actually deign to listen to the contrary views? The easiest explanation, of course, would be that those who persevere in beliefs glaringly devoid of any meaning or logic are just plain dumb. But no, there are a lot of highly intelligent people — in fact, almost the entirety of academia — among the most vocal proponents of that idiocy. So there must be some other explanation. And as a matter of fact, there is.
The estimable Lee Harris, in his wonderful book The Suicide of Reason (Basic Books, 2007), explores the concept of the shaming code developed by Thomas Huxley. Huxley, widely known as “Darwin’s Bulldog” for his ferocious defense of evolutionary theory, thought long and hard about the inherent contradiction between man’s “innate tendency to self-assertion … as the condition of victory in the struggle for existence and the obvious fact that in the struggle for survival loners are losers and individuals who banded together increased their chances of survival.” Upon reflection, Huxley came to the conclusion that the glue that holds together individuals in a group is the collective shaming code.
“It is this code that makes the members of the group feel as one,” writes Lee Harris. “They are disgusted, angered, delighted and shamed by the same things. The unanimity of their visceral response is what provides the powerful sense of collective identity. It makes them feel and think as a tribal Us, in contrast to those tribes who are not disgusted by what disgusts us, or made angry by what makes us angry, and who feel no shame at what we think of as shameful[.] … A tribe that shares a powerful visceral code that inhibits the natural tendency of the individual to self-assertion will present a united front against its enemies.”
Therein lies the explanation of the total information blockade built around the highly dubious figure of Barack Obama by the left-leaning salons and the mainstream media, even including the respectable conservative media. It doesn’t take unusual intelligence to see that the 44th president is a patent mediocrity with a totally contrived past. And yet, crickets. In 1600, Sir John Harrington penned these immortal words: “Treason doth never prosper; what’s the reason? For if it prosper, none dare call it treason.” In other words, treason attains respectability once it becomes a prevalent trait of the social mores, part and parcel of society’s shaming code. Today, it is the very same shaming code that causes polite society to rally around the “right-thinking” Obama and rebuff all attempts to expose him as the fraud that he is. Even the late, utterly fearless Andrew Breitbart refused to wade into the controversy around Obama’s birth certificate, advising his followers not to “go there,” because he believed that it was unproductive and harmful to the conservative cause. He understood the power of the shaming code.
But why is today’s social and political scene dominated by the left, allowing it to impose its shaming code on society? In the struggle for survival and supremacy, the advantage invariably goes to those who are more committed to maintaining and expanding their cultural traditions and who, because of the strength of that commitment, are united by the more powerful sense of group feeling. Hence the liberals’ domination of the public discourse.
Conservatives are usually reluctant ideological warriors. For the most part, they want only to be left alone, to live and let live. Having won a battle, they sigh with relief and waste no time beating their swords into ploughshares. Not so the liberals. They never tire or despair in their attempts to impose their views on all others; if they lose a fight, they pick themselves up, dust themselves off, and, undaunted, continue to slog toward their goals. And in the struggle of opposites, the more fanatical will always win.
The vicious hatred of the left for its conservative opponents, belied by the liberals’ constant protestations of their high-mindedness and tolerance, is also easily explainable in tribal terms. It is the hatred of the righteous for the sinner, of the acolyte of the one true faith for the heretic. Distilled to its essence, it is the hatred for “the other,” of “us” for “them.” It is also the reason why liberals so liberally lie and cheat in their dealings with the conservative “enemy.” Everything is fair in love and war, and politics is war by other means. Why are liberals infinitely understanding and patient toward the Islamic terrorists who threaten to destroy Western civilization? Not only because the Islamofascists are of the third world and thus automatically endowed with virtue, but also because they offer no competition to the left for supremacy in American society, while conservatives do.

From Craig Andresen at The National Patriot:
It was just 4 years ago that things were SO different.
What happened?
That is the question which must be haunting Obama night and day.
4 years ago, he was a rock star and today, a has been.
4 years ago, anything that had anything to do with him was a mob scene with people pushing and shoving to just get a glimpse. Even if they couldn’t get close enough to see, they could say they were there.
Last week, in his Windy City, a fund raiser was, like his glass, half empty.
Perhaps it was the price of admission.
$51.00 per head.
That’s right, Obama only managed to half fill a room at just fifty one bucks per person. That would have NEVER happened just 4 years ago.
4 years ago, women “fainted” at the mere sight of him or the sound of his voice. They passed out and somehow, it was always caught on camera.
People “cried” in the streets in North Korea at the news of Kim’s death too.
Just sayin’.
So far, in this election cycle, Obama has done 205 appearances. No “fainting.”
What happened??
4 years ago, it was all “Hope and Change” and “Change We Can Believe In.”
Today its, “Forward.”
“Forward?” When the economy is in reverse? “Forward” when unemployment is higher than he promised it would be if only he were allowed to spend a trillion dollars?
Aside from being a bumper sticker, “Hope and Change” sounded optimistic. “Forward” sounds like a marching order.
“Hope and change” like Obama’s star power, has faded away and now seems as empty as his suit.
4 years ago, Obama talked about spreading the wealth. Remember that? Now, Mr. “Spread the Wealth” has presided over the greatest increase in food stamp usage in history and there are more Americans than ever collecting welfare.
“Spread the wealth” has turned into “Share the Poverty.”
What Happened???
4 years ago, Obama was coronated at a lavish convention complete with Greek pillars in the Mile High city.
This time, his convention has been cut down from 4 days to 3 and many of his union faithful are seeing red because it’s being held in a non union state.
4 years ago, Obama walked on water.
Today, more and more business owners and home owners are under water.
What happened????
4 years ago, Obama was saying that raising the debt ceiling was unpatriotic and a clear sign of a lack of leadership.
Now, he’s managed to add more to the debt that all the presidents before him combined.

From Walter E. Williams at The Patriot Post:
If I were a Klansman, wanting to sabotage black education, I couldn’t find better allies than education establishment liberals and officials in the Obama administration, especially Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, who in March 2010 announced that his department was “going to reinvigorate civil rights enforcement.”
For Duncan, the civil rights issue was that black elementary and high school students are disciplined at a higher rate than whites. His evidence for discrimination is that blacks are three and a half times more likely to be suspended or expelled than their white peers. Duncan and his Obama administration supporters conveniently ignored school “racial discrimination” against whites, who are more than two times as likely to be suspended as Asians and Pacific Islanders.
Heather Mac Donald reports on all of this in “Undisciplined,” appearing in City Journal (Summer 2012). She writes that between September 2011 and February 2012, 25 times more black Chicago students than white students were arrested at school, mostly for battery. In Chicago schools, black students outnumber whites by four to one.
Mac Donald adds, “Nationally, the picture is no better. The homicide rate among males between the ages of 14 and 17 is nearly ten times higher for blacks than for whites and Hispanics combined. Such data make no impact on the Obama administration and its orbiting advocates, who apparently believe that the lack of self-control and socialization that results in this disproportionate criminal violence does not manifest itself in classroom comportment as well.”
According to the National Center for Education Statistics, nationally during 2007-2008, more than 145,000 teachers were physically attacked. Six percent of big-city schools report verbal abuse of teachers, and 18 percent report non-verbal disrespect for teachers. An earlier NCES study found that 18 percent of the nation’s schools accounted for 75 percent of the reported incidents of violence, and 6.6 percent accounted for 50 percent. So far as serious violence, murder and rapes, 1.9 percent of schools reported 50 percent of the incidents. The preponderance of school violence occurs in big-city schools attended by black students.
Educators might not see classroom comportment as a priority. According to a recent hire, a Baltimore high school now asks prospective teachers: “How do you respond to being mistreated? What do you do if someone cusses you out?” The proper answer is: “Nothing.” That vision might explain why a 34-year veteran of the school had to be taken from the premises in an ambulance after a student shattered the glass in a classroom display case.
Mac Donald reports that a fifth-grade teacher in St. Paul, Minn., scoffs at the notion that minority students are being unfairly targeted for discipline, saying “Anyone in his right mind knows that these (disciplined) students are extremely disruptive.”
In response to the higher disciplinary rates for minority students, the St. Paul school district has spent $350,000 for teacher “cultural-proficiency” training sessions where they learn about “whiteness.” At one of these sessions, an Asian teacher asked: “How do I help the student who blurts out answers and disrupts the class?” The black facilitator said: “That’s what black culture is.” If a white person made such a remark, I’m sure it would be deemed racist.
Some of today’s black political leaders are around my age, 76, such as Reps. Maxine Waters, Charles Rangel, John Conyers, former Virginia Gov. Douglas Wilder, Jesse Jackson and many others. Ask them what their parents would have done had they cursed, assaulted a teacher or engaged in disruptive behavior that’s become routine in far too many schools. Would their parents have accepted the grossly disrespectful public behavior that includes foul language and racial epithets? Their silence and support of the status quo represent a betrayal of epic proportions to the blood, sweat and tears of our ancestors in their struggle to make today’s education opportunities available.
