Wonder how much Obama and/or his regime will do to stop this?

Barack Obama’s illegal alien Uncle Onyango Obama was arrested in August for driving drunk.
He was held by ICE for two weeks. Onyango told police when he was arrested that he planned to arrange bail through the White House.

Onyango Obama denied he was drinking and driving, or that he failed to yield the right of way. Omar registered a reading of 0.14 percent on a blood-alcohol breath test, which is above the state’s legal driving limit of 0.08 percent. (BBC)

Onyango was able to get his driver’s license back after his DUI.
But recently ICE began the process to deport Obama’s illegal drunk-driving uncle.

Uncle Omar is fighting the deportation charges.

Killer Swan Blamed for Man’s Drowning

An angry swan is being blamed for knocking a man out of his kayak in a Chicago pond and then continuing to attack until the man drowned.

Anthony Hensley, 37, used the swans to keep geese away from properties and was in a kayak checking on the animals Sunday morning when one of the swans swam at him, causing him to fall out of his kayak into the water.

So the Obama administration is trying to make “transparency” an issue they can use against Mitt Romney?

Really?

Are we talking about the same president who has refused to release White House visitor logs?;

Is it the same administration of which the transparency group the Sunlight Foundation said, “We should remember that Presidential rhetoric and bureaucratic commitments are not the same thing as results” (actually, a pretty decent reminder for the whole of the Obama “record”; and

The same group accused — by the Justice Department official who guided the federal governments policy on FOIA for more than 25 years — of distorting its record on processing FOIA requests?

Are these the people with a record so bad that they have come under fire from friends — with a writer at Firedoglake reporting that the “[Obama] administration is increasingly regarded as the worst on issues related to freedom of information and transparency” and Politico devoting a whole piece to “President Obama’s muddy transparency record”?

And that’s just the official stuff. Don’t even think about the President’s lack of personal transparency – from the redacted academic records to Illinois bar records (note, however, that he did publish an unsigned piece as a second year member of the Harvard Law Review).

With such glaring official and personal failings on the transparency issue, is this really the best issue for the Obamaites to be raising against Mitt Romney?

The Senate rejected the so-called Buffett Rule on Monday evening. Fifty-one senators voted in favor the tax increase on high-income owners, officially called the Paying A Fair Share Act, while 45 voted against it. But the Buffett Rule failed to get the necessary 60 votes to invoke cloture and end debate on the bill, effectively killing the rule’s chances of passing the Senate.

Only one Republican, Susan Collins of Maine, voted in favor of the Buffett Rule, while Mark Pryor of Arkansas was the only Democrat to join the Republicans in voting against it. Four senators did not vote. The Buffett Rule would have set the minimum tax rate for those making more than $1 million in annual income at 30 percent.

President Barack Obama has been pushing for the rule for several months, naming it after investor Warren Buffett, an ally of the president who Obama claims pays taxes at a lower rate than his secretary. This afternoon, the White House announced its formal support for the bill, arguing that it “will ensure that the Nation’s wealthiest people are not able to use tax preferences and shelters to reduce their tax rate below what middle class families pay.”

Wow…a union busting Obama?

Last month, the AFL-CIO endorsed Obama, quieting all the talk about any rift or lingering differences between the President and organized labor. Many Dems hope enthusiastic union support will help Obama limit losses among blue collar whites in the swing states — something that could prove decisive in the 2012 election.

Those hopes may have hit another snag: That rift has cracked open a bit once again.

In an interview just now, AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka ripped into Obama for taking a key step this weekend towards the U.S.-Colombia Free Trade Agreement — which Trumka claimed would have domestic political ramifications for Obama. Trumka said continuing betrayal of labor would make it harder to turn out supporters this fall and was already muddying Obama’s efforts to draw a sharp contrast with Mitt Romney over who represents the 99 percent.

“The more these things happen, where workers interests are subjugated to other interests, it has a cumulative effect, making it harder for us to energize our members and get them out in the numbers necessary in the fall,” Trumka told me.

“The candidates have to decide whether they represent the 99 percent or the one percent,” Trumka continued. “Each time this happens, it obscures the clearness with which the president represents the 99 percent.”
