So anxious is the federal government to give away money to lower income people (up to $49k!) that it is buying expensive full page advertising in magazines like Sports Illustratedurging people to take advantage of the “Earned Income Tax Credit” (EITC) program. In the ad reproduced below, the fed show pennies raining down from heaven (get it? pennies from heaven), so that poor people merely need to put out a vessel of some sort to catch the money.
As you prepare to send in your income taxes on April 15 — for many taxpayers the amount involved is more than they spend on food and housing combined — remember that other people get paid money when they file taxes, because their incomes are lower than yours.
The desperation to spend as much money as possible on taking money from taxpayers and giving it to other people who didn’t earn it and who don’t pay income taxes is offensive to everyone who works hard, succeeds, and as a result has a bulls eye painted on their pocketbooks.
Only in Japan! Double mac with egg and bacon?
Was Obama ever a class act? Check this story out.
Economist John Lott, noted for his academic advocacy of gun rights, says that when Barack Obama was his colleague at the University of Chicago, the future president treated him as if he were “evil.”
Lott relates his interactions with Obama in his new book, co-authored with Americans for Tax Reform’s Grover Norquist, “Debacle: Obama’s War on Jobs and Growth and What We can Do Now to Regain Our Future.”
“The book relates a couple out of the dozen-and-a-half conversations that I had with him,” Lott told The Daily Caller. ”But they were all very short, cut off by Obama turning his back on me and walking away.”
“He wouldn’t shake hands. It was very clear that Obama disagreed on the gun issue and acted as if he believed that people who he disagreed with were not just wrong, but evil. Unlike other liberal academics who usually enjoyed discussing opposing ideas, Obama simply showed disdain.”
Lott and Obama were colleagues at the University of Chicago Law School in the 1990s.
The book’s main focus is Obama’s economic policies, which the authors contend have exacerbated America’s economic woes.
“We wanted to put together a book that explained how the stimulus [the $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009] made the economy worse, provide evidence for that claim, and explain what could be done to increase growth,” said Lott, a Fox News contributor who has held teaching and research positions at elite universities including Yale and Stanford.
TheDC’s interview with Lott explored how he believes President Obama has mishandled the economy, what policies he believes should be implemented to spark an economic recovery, the seriousness of our looming entitlement crisis and much more.
And so it begins.
The day after Easter, April 9, 2012 was chosen as the one to unleash chaos and confusion on the unsuspecting masses.
It’s the day after Easter and the New Black Panthers (NBP) and Occupy Wall Street (OWS) are kicking off the Revolution.
“Shock Video: “Suited, booted and armed. Unbelievable audio from the NBP on Bloody, Anti-capitalist, ‘Race War’ against White Devils. We’re talking about some blood, is the cover story on The Blaze this morning.
Beginning the ‘training’ of some 100,000 activists with mostly George Soros money, the same day message from OWS is “This Spring We Rise!”
It’s more plan than coincidence that both parties are heading toward anarchy on the same day.
Like unrepentant domestic terrorist ‘Billy Boy’ Ayers says he wakes up each morning hoping for the end of capitalism, NBP and OWS are turning the clock back, starting today to their long ago heyday of the 1960s.
While the NBP are coming right out and calling for blood, OWS have ‘re-branded’, David Axelrod astroturf style.
“On April 9-15 we will gather across America 100,000 strong, in homes, places of worship, campuses and the streets to train ourselves in non-violent action and join together in the work of reclaiming our country. History is calling; it’s time to step up,” is OWS ridiculous new’ message.
Both NBP and OWS are emboldened because only days ago, their masters the Muslim Brotherhood, who kicked off the First Revolution as Arab Spring, opening the way for worldwide revolution, left the White House 1.5 billion dollars richer. The Brotherhood has gone over to the 1% side.
The Justice Department has brushed aside a video by the conservative filmmaker James O’Keefe in which a polling station volunteer is tricked into giving the attorney general’s primary ballot to the wrong person.
In the video, a man is seen giving the attorney general’s name, Eric Holder, to a poll volunteer in Washington, D.C., along with Holder’s address. The volunteer finds Holder’s ballot and offers it to the man, who says he’d feel more comfortable if he provided his identification, which he says he left in his car.
The point of the video is to show that without voter ID laws, anyone can vote under anyone else’s name when in reality, huge numbers of people who wanted to game the voting system would have to take part in a coordinated scheme to make even a small impact.
Rush Limbaugh praised O’Keefe as “brilliant” on his radio show today.
The Justice Department was less enthusiastic.
“It’s no coincidence that these so-called examples of rampant voter fraud consistently turn out to be manufactured ones,” said a department official, who asked not to be identified.
Even after James O’Keefe proved how easy it is to conduct voter fraud, Eric Holder, beholden to the black asses he kisses, is in full denial mode:
Just great art.
Should you be surprised given how Obama hates America and wants to keep it a slave to Mideast oil? And how come no earthquakes in Nicaragua, Saudi Arabia, and other oil producing countries? Why just the USA?
Oil and gas production may explain a sharp increase in small earthquakes in the nation’s midsection, a new study from the U.S. Geological Survey suggests.
The rate has jumped six-fold from the late 20th century through last year, the team reports, and the changes are “almost certainly man-made.”
Outside experts were split in their opinions about the report, which is not yet published but is due to be presented at a meeting later this month.
The study said a relatively mild increase starting in 2001 comes from increased quake activity in a methane production area along the state line between Colorado and New Mexico. The increase began about the time that methane production began there, so there’s a “clear possibility” of a link, says lead author William Ellsworth of the USGS.
The betting site Intrade gives Republicans a better than 50% chance of taking control of the U.S. Senate after the November elections. After picking up seven Senate seats in 2010 — including Scott Brown’s victory in the Massachusetts special election — the GOP needs a net four seats to assure control after 2012. If the Republicans regain the White House, a net gain of three would be sufficient as the vice president serves as tiebreaker.
Twenty-three of the 33 Senate seats being contested in 2012 are presently held by Democrats. Of that number, 12 seats currently held by Democrats are potentially at risk. Seven of these 12 are open-seat races with the Democratic senator retiring. The seven seats: North Dakota and Nebraska (where the GOP candidate is favored); Virginia and Wisconsin (which are considered tossups); and Connecticut, Hawaii, and New Mexico (which are currently rated as leaning Democratic). New Mexico looks the closest of the three.
The five Democratic incumbents at greatest risk of losing their seats, starting with the most vulnerable: Claire McCaskill (Missouri), Jon Tester (Montana), Bill Nelson (Florida), Sherrod Brown (Ohio), and Debbie Stabenow (Michigan).
It is more difficult to oust an incumbent than to win an open-seat race, whether for the Senate or the House. This is particularly true for the Senate, where incumbents have six years to build up a re-election war chest and build ties with the state’s voters. That said, the most vulnerable incumbents tend to be first-termers, and McCaskill, Tester, and Brown all fall in that category. All three won office in 2006, a very big year for Democrats around the country. McCaskill and Tester won very narrow victories: Tester by 1% (3,500 votes); McCaskill by 3% (48,000 votes). Nelson and Stabenow are both in their second term and neither faced a serious challenge in 2006.
The State Department broke with normal procedures last week when it ordered the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) not to conduct a secondary inspection on members of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) on their way to visit government officials and think tanks in the United States.
This happened despite the fact that one member of the delegation had been implicated – though not charged – in a U.S. child pornography investigation, the Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT) has learned.
The State Department issued a cable specifically barring Customs officials from carrying out any inspections of Dardery and the other members of the delegation on their arrival at New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport. The immigration official described this action by the State Department as “extraordinary.”
Beyond the State Department’s prohibition on conducting extra scrutiny of Dardery and members of his delegation, the State Department barred US Customs officials from carrying out even the standard inspection mandated for foreigners arriving from Egypt, where an enhanced security program is in place as a result of the 9-11 attacks.
As Baltimore cops investigate the videotaped beating of a tourist on St. Patrick’s Day, a second clip showing the brutal attack could help police identify members of the mob who knocked the victim to the ground, stole his belongings, and even tore his pants off.
The video, seen above, was shot by an onlooker outside a downtown courthouse, where the tourist was sucker-punched by an attacker. The victim, wearing a Mountain Dew shirt, crumpled to the sidewalk and hit his head.
While on the ground, the man was set upon by about ten attackers, who stole his Tag Heuer watch, money, iPhone, and keys to his Audi, according to police. The dazed and defenseless victim is also punched, kicked, and even hit with a shoe by several assailants. In a final indignity, the man is “teabagged” by a male attacker.
The 1:26 cell phone video–shot by a cameraman who cackled as the beating transpired–was first uploaded to the WorldStar Hip Hop web site on March 30. It was included as part of a 14:22 “fight compilation” of 12 clips showing assorted mayhem.
In a TV news report Friday (which included another view of the Baltimore attack), a detective pledged to hunt down the man’s attackers. “We want to bring these people to justice,” said Det. Nicole Monroe.
Have you notice the lack of media coverage on the price of gas increasing? Not one liberal outlet is venting rage over the price of gas going up and up and up! No, they are again protecting the lord and master!
Back in the day, when gas rose a few cents a gallon while Bush was president, the liberal media hyperventilated and called for action against Bush, called for protests, and blamed Bush!
Now? They could care less since Obama is president!
In fact, the liberal media just says that gas has not risen percentage wise as fast under Obama as Bush! And that adjusting for inflation, gas is actually cheaper now than under Bush! Can you believe the shit the liberal media actually spouts out?
They do want to protect Obama and of course, see gas rise so much higher so that they can blame the republicans.
