Free speech is under attack worldwide, and the attack is growing in virulence. But now a new international organization is fighting back.
Back in December, the United Nations passed Resolution 16/18, with the backing of U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The stated goal of the resolution was to “combat intolerance, negative stereotyping and stigmatization of discrimination, incitement to violence, and violence against persons based on religion or belief,” but this is all just smoke and mirrors. In fact, this resolution is designed to restrict truthful speech about Islamic supremacy and jihad, so as to render the West mute and defenseless before the advancing threat of jihad and Sharia.
Those who assume that the First Amendment will protect us from this are whistling in the dark. The First Amendment doesn’t work automatically. And if you think that Constitutional Amendments can’t be restriction and essentially legislated out of existence, try buying a handgun in New York City. Legally, that is.
But now a new organization is fighting back against this assault on our most fundamental freedom. The first session of the International Freedom Defense Congress, the operating body of the human rights organization “Stop Islamization of Nations” (SION), will be held in New York on September 11, 2012. The principal focus of the Congress will be a media workshop addressing Islamic supremacist attempts to restrict the freedom of speech in the free world, and the smear campaigns against freedom fighters in newspapers and media institutions in the West.
Coming here soon, just watch.
Cameras at petrol stations will automatically stop uninsured or untaxed vehicles from being filled with fuel, under new government plans.
Downing Street officials hope the hi-tech system will crack down on the 1.4million motorists who drive without insurance.
Automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) cameras are already fitted in thousands of petrol station forecourts.
Drivers can only fill their cars with fuel once the camera has captured and logged the vehicle’s number plate.
Currently the system is designed to deter motorists from driving off without paying for petrol.
But under the new plans, the cameras will automatically cross-refererence with the DVLA’s huge database.
When a car is flagged as being uninsured or untaxed, the system will prevent the fuel pump being used on that vehicle.
The proposals will have a huge impact – forcing drivers to insure and tax their car if they want to drive.
One in 25 drivers in the UK do not have insurance – one of the worst records in western Europe.
According to recent figures, around 160 people are killed and 23,000 injured by uninsured and untraced drivers every year.
Downing Street officials are due to meet representatives from the major fuel companies in the next few weeks to discuss the idea.
But some petrol retailers said the proposals were a “step too far” – claiming they put cashiers at risk.
Brian Madderson, from RMI Petrol, which represents independent petrol stations, said: “Staff are already getting stick from motorists for high fuel prices.
“This proposal will increase the potential for conflict. Our cashiers are not law enforcers.”

This is Eric Holder using 9/11 to argue for more gun control in 2001…
In the wake of the horrific terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, the nation is eager for ways to increase security at home — and understandably so. These unspeakable crimes have taken thousands of innocent lives, devastated countless families and made us feel a new and terrible kind of vulnerability. Throughout the country, people are having the same conversations: How could this happen? How do we cope with it? And what can we do, as a nation and as individuals, to safeguard against further acts of terrorism? …
One measure that is an essential part of any plan is the need to tighten our nation’s gun laws, which allow the easy and legal sale of firearms to terrorists and criminals. While we are appropriately discussing requiring criminal background checks on airline pilots, baggage handlers and airport security personnel, federal law does not require background checks on all firearms sales. In the interest of national security, this should be changed immediately.
Under the Brady Law, gun buyers must undergo criminal background checks only when they buy firearms from licensed dealers. And that law has made our communities safer, stopping nearly 700,000 criminals and other prohibited people from purchasing firearms in the seven years it has been in effect. This requirement has resulted in only a minor inconvenience to law-abiding citizens, which has been far outweighed by the strong benefit to society of keeping firearms out of the hands of criminals and terrorists.
Unfortunately, unlicensed sellers are permitted by law to sell firearms with no background check whatever. Millions of firearms change hands every year through this back-door yet perfectly legal method, giving criminals and terrorists remarkably easy and undetectable access to weapons. This legal loophole must be closed immediately. We can no longer allow the purchase of firearms through the Internet or a newspaper ad, at a gun show or a flea market, or in any other type of sale from an unlicensed seller, without any background check or other record of purchase. The stakes are too high.
While the reasons should be self-evident, there are numerous and chilling examples of the need to extend the background check to every firearm sale. Just last year, for example, a previously convicted felon and terrorist, Ali Boumelhem, went to a Michigan gun show, where he was legally exempt from a background check, and purchased assault weapons, shotguns, ammunition and flash suppressors that he intended to ship to the terrorist group Hezbollah. Fortunately, Boumelhem was already under FBI surveillance for suspected terrorism and was captured before he was able to ship the weapons to Hezbollah.
In Florida, four people were convicted last year of smuggling guns and other weapons from the state for use by the Provisional Irish Republican Army. One of the convicted IRA terrorists, Conor Claxton, testified that he was shocked by the variety of weapons available in Florida at gun shows and through newspaper ads. “We have nothing like this at home,” he said.
Indeed, if Osama bin Laden, who is under indictment in this country for the bombing of our embassies in Tanzania and Kenya, were to go to a willing or unwary unlicensed gun dealer at a gun show, no mechanism is in place to prevent him from obtaining a weapon of his choice. Unfortunately, the gaping holes in our current law have likely allowed thousands of undetected firearm purchases by criminals and terrorists. This kind of terrorist loophole in the laws of the United States is simply unacceptable and must be closed.
In addition to background checks on all gun sales, records used to check the eligibility of an individual to purchase a firearm should include whether the potential buyer is on an FBI or other law enforcement watch list of suspected terrorists. …
Congress must take immediate action to close these two gaping loopholes in the law. Our national security requires it. And the public should demand it.

Among many gifts that President Obama receives on St. Patrick’s Day from grateful American workers and peasants, there was one that he liked the most. It was a T-shirt that said “Kiss me I’m Kenyan,” mailed to him by an unidentified individual from the Sheriff’s office in Maricopa County, Arizona.
This is hilarious! This is KONY talking about the idiot who was caught masturbating in the nude in public.
A father buys a lie detector robot that slaps you when you lie. He tests it on his son at supper.
Father asks his son, “Where were you last night?” Son replies, “I was at the library.” Robot slaps son. “Ok I was at a friends house.”
“Doing what?” asked the father. “Watching a movie.” says the son. “What movie?” asks the father. “Toy Story.” Robot slaps son. “Ok it was porn!” cried the son.
Father yells, “What?! When I was your age I didn’t know what
porn was!” Robot slaps the father.
The mother laughs and says “He certainly is your son.” Robot slaps the mother.

Rosie O’Donnell signed a multimillion-dollar deal with OWN for a talk show that was supposed to save Oprah’s failing network. Instead, it tanked. Ramin Setoodeh talked with staffers about what went wrong. [...]
At the Harpo offices in Chicago, O’Donnell’s staff had been alerted of the decision only hours before, after weeks of rumors that the show was on the chopping block. Over a short TV life span, through countless reboots and hiatuses, the series had morphed from a delightful comedy hour that nonetheless premiered to weak ratings in the fall to a bleak, Larry King–style interview program with C-list guests like the cast of Dance Moms and Jaleel White. Through all the changes, some 30 employees from producers to writers had left because of budget cuts and possibly because of a boss who couldn’t decide what she wanted and frequently humiliated them in public. “It was such a fucking hellhole,” says one former staffer.
Several staffers were very upset when O’Donnell clashed with Winfrey’s longtime director Joe Terry (who has since been hired by Katie, the forthcoming Katie Couric talk show). People thought she humiliated him when she scolded him in front of a live audience for using the wrong camera shots, suggesting he didn’t know what he was doing. She fired Winfrey’s stage manager because she felt like he was ignoring her and not doing his job properly. But some of her biggest fights were with “the games department.” She couldn’t decide what she wanted—The Price Is Right, physical games, or trivia—and was constantly belittling the people who worked on them.
(what, miss congeniality?)
All kinds of wrong here….
