Why We Should Mistrust the Government

New Veterans Ad Shreds Barack Obama For Taking Credit For Osama Bin Laden Killing

President Obama is a great campaigner, a fact that cannot be denied. But, to parade the Killing of Bin-Laden around as if it’s the Stanley cup is in bad taste and his poll numbers will soon reflect this faux pas.

President Obama’s was given proper due at the time of the Bin-Laden operation. It was, in fact, a tough decision, but not so tough that others (Mitt Romney) are incapable of coming to the same decision as implied in the video below.

When asked after the raid “who fired the shot”, the SEAL’s replied “assume we all did”. The president to this day remains unaware who actually killed Bin-Laden. And that’s the way it should be…as the title reads “Heroes Don’t Spike The Football”.

Much more went into the Bin-Laden raid than the SEAL’s on the ground, and for the SEAL’s, or a single individual to take credit is considered dishonorable among warriors.

President Obama would be wise to imitate this military trait. Much more went into the decision to go after Bin-Laden than just his “ok”, But if one were to believe the recent boasting from our Commander In Chief, you’d think it was a one man show!

Arrogance at times can be construed as an asset. However, your exaggerated self-opinion in this matter, Mr. President, depicts you as nothing more than a braggart to the American people.

Fat Man Gore is really pissed off because his money-making scam is being exposed for what it is.

Let’s Just Say It Out Loud – Al Gore

Thomas Mann of the Brookings Institute and Norman Ornstein of the American Enterprise Institute have written a scathing attack on dysfunction in Washington. Their conclusion: “Republicans are the problem.”

“We have been studying Washington politics and Congress for more than 40 years, and neverhave we seen them this dysfunctional. In our past writings, we have criticized both parties when we believed it was warranted. Today, however, we have no choice but to acknowledge that the core of the problem lies with the Republican Party.”

“The GOP has become an insurgent outlier in American politics. It is ideologically extreme; scornful of compromise; unmoved by conventional understanding of facts, evidence and science; and dismissive of the legitimacy of its political opposition.”

“When one party moves this far from the mainstream, it makes it nearly impossible for the political system to deal constructively with the country’s challenges.”

I am not going out on a limb here when I say that CAIR was heavily involved in this!

(Washington Examiner) — FBI officials refuse to disclose the identities or backgrounds of a trio of outside Islamic experts it recently used to scrub the agency’s counter-terrorism training materials of information deemed offensive to Muslim advocacy groups.

That refusal concerns some on Capitol Hill who worry that the process could sacrifice legitimate national security interests to political correctness demands if the wrong people do the censoring.

The agency’s silence also worries representatives of influential Islamic-American groups that contend U.S. counter-terrorism efforts are hampered by officially sanctioned “Islamophobia.”

The overhaul followed claims by Islamic activists last September that the materials used to train FBI counter-terrorism agents used offensive language and depictions of Muslims, including an assertion that devout Muslims are more prone to be terrorists.

The scrubbing was done by an internal review panel that included two FBI officials working alongside the anonymous trio of Islamic consultants to remove references to Muslims deemed inappropriate, either because they lacked accuracy, employed stereotypes or were too vague.

(HuffPo) — On Wednesday The Huffington Post again visited New York’s Loews Regency Hotel, the self-proclaimed home of the “Power Breakfast.”

During this trip, we caught up with Cornel West, the famed civil rights activist and scholar, who shared his thoughts on the 2012 presidential election and recent U.S. foreign policy. [...]

The Princeton University professor was equally harsh in his critique of U.S. foreign policy. Regarding the White House’s overseas drone campaign, West said, “The Obama administration is involved in some very ugly killing of innocent people.”

“The drones with the bombs killing innocent civilians needs to be taken very very seriously,” West said. “You can’t hide and conceal that. So when I think of foreign policy, I connect the drones on the one hand to the corruption and incompetence and inefficiency of the Karzai regime.

So I have a very very deep disagreement with the kind of U.S. foreign policy at the moment that Barack Obama is promoting,” West added.
