Obama Wants to Turn USA into a Stalinist State
Hmmm…wonder how many of my readers will report me? Do I have any neighbors who will turn me in?
Turning back to that page out of Stalin’s handbook for good citizenship, the Obama campaign has revived its program of asking Americans to inform on fellow citizens when they see someone, some organization, some politician, or some news outlet “attacking” the Obammessiah.
Some of you may recall the black eye that team Obama got when it tried to do this before. Obama’s Attack Watch was heavily lampooned.
One of the best tools that the East German and Soviet regimes had to keep the average citizen of their oppressive regimes in line was a program that urged citizens to tattle on their neighbors, that taught children to tell on their parents, and expected workers to rat out their co-workers. If someone came to the government informing on a fellow citizen, that citizen was praised and rewarded.
Now, Team Obama has gone all Stalin on us again with yet another such effort, this one called the Obama Truth Team. The new effort sports a page on the Obama-Biden website where you can “Fight Back: Report an Attack.” (See screen shot of page HERE)
There, Team Obama gravely informs its acolytes that they can “report” on anyone not spouting Team Obama’s mantra.

Youtube stifling conservative speech? I believe so, they pull all the time any video put on that is anti-obama, anti-liberal, anti-commie.
Sixteen-year-old Madeleine McAulay recently made a video wherein she politely discussed her thoughts on same sex marriage from the perspective of her Christian faith. The video received over 22,000 hits and landed her on Fox and Friends one morning last week due to the threats she received as a result of posting it. Progressives continued to attack her, called her video “hate speech,” and Youtube finally pulled it.

MIAMI, FL – Miami police and witnesses say that an officer on Saturday fatally shot a naked man who was chewing on the face of another man on a downtown causeway off-ramp.
The Miami Herald reports that gunshots were heard at about 2 p.m. on the MacArthur Causeway off-ramp, which is near the newspaper’s offices. Witnesses said that a woman saw two men fighting and flagged down a police officer, who came upon a naked man mauling the other man. The newspaper quoted witnesses as saying that the officer ordered the naked man to back away, and when he ignored the demand, the officer shot him. Witnesses said that the naked man continued his attack after being shot once, and the officer then shot him several more times.

(Chicago Sun-Times) — A horde of masked figures stormed the restaurant in a single-file line, wielding bats, claw hammers and metal batons — their presence announced when one shouted, “‘Hey, bitches, the ARA is going to f— up this place.’ ”
With that, the shrouded thugs went on a rampage, clubbing diners at The Ashford House restaurant on May 19 in Tinley Park. They did not discriminate as to the targets of their violence, even pushing an 80-year-old woman to the ground, according to an eyewitness who’s a former Chicago police officer.
“Although the terrorist assault lasted only about a minute, it was the longest minute of my life,” the eyewitness said.
Authorities have said the attackers were targeting a group that believes in white supremacy and calls itself the Illinois European Heritage Association. At least 10 people were hurt during the attack, with three taken to a hospital for treatment.
Five Indiana men who prosecutors say are linked to the Anti-Racist Action Group remain in the Cook County Jail, charged with felony mob action, aggravated battery and criminal damage to property. They are John Tucker, 26, of Martinsville, Ind.; Cody Sutherlin, 23, and Alex Stuck, 22, both of Bloomington, Ind.; and Dylan Sutherlin, 20, and Jason Sutherlin, 33, both of Gosport, Ind. Two victims also were arrested on charges unrelated to the attack.
The Anti-Racist Action Group (ARA) is a “radical left-wing group” that often resorts to violent acts, said Mark Potok, a senior fellow at The Southern Poverty Law Center, a nonprofit civil rights organization based in Montgomery, Ala. The attack, he said, “did more harm to the cause of fighting racism than almost anyone can imagine.”

(Willie’s World — Willie Brown) — The president’s trip to the Bay Area last week made it painfully clear that the Barack Obama re-election campaign has lost its mojo.
There was no life, no personality, no memorable line or moment and no real enthusiasm in the entire fundraising foray. In short, there was no buzz.
It was like a summer rerun of a show that wasn’t very interesting to begin with.
Worse yet, Obama sounded like he was playing catch-up to Mitt Romney. I can’t think of anything that should have him in that role, but he’s acting like the underdog.
Obama was more than a candidate last time out. He was a popular and cultural phenomenon. A rock star. But the trouble with rock stars is that they drop like a rock once fans conclude they are “over.”
The trick in politics is not to be a one-hit wonder, but to be more like the Grateful Dead. Jerry and the boys were never what you’d call stars, but their Deadheads were legion and good days or bad, they always turned out in record numbers.

(TPM) — Sen. John McCain said that the past several years have been a “shameful episode in American history” because the U.S. has not become more involved on behalf of rebel forces in several countries across the Middle East since 2009 in response to a question about the United States’ involvement in Syria on Fox News Sunday. McCain also suggested that President Obama was trying to hold off action until after the election.
“Horrible things are happening in Syria,” McCain said. “This administration has a feckless foreign policy which abandons American leadership.”
McCain also dismissed a New York Times story reporting that President Obama may enlist the Russians to try to remove Syrian President Bashar al-Assad diplomatically as unrealistic.
“The only conclusion you can draw,” McCain said, “is that this president wants to kick the can down the road on all these issues until after the election.” McCain referenced Obama’s ‘hot mic’ moment earlier this year when he told Russian Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev he would be more flexible after the election. “It’s really an abdication of everything that America stands for and believes in,” he said.

Democratic Congresswoman Gwen Moore (D-Wisconsin) on Ed Schultz’s radio program: And so they are as battered, they are literally battered women in that caucus. Time and again, they’ve been forced to vote against the interests of women and the consequences for not voting with the Republican Party are great. I mean, you just, male or female, just look at Dick Lugar who cooperated with the president. Or I’m thinking of Jean Schmidt (R-Ohio), who was in that video. She had a primary and was beaten in a primary. She was one of the women that showed up at the non-partisan women’s meetings on a regular basis. And so there are, there’s a huge cost in being bipartisan, a tradition started by Newt Gingrich when he took over the House in 1994 and has continued forward, that you dare not vote against the Republican Party even if you’re voting against your own initiatives and your own interests.

Are We Headed for a Fight with China?
SHANGHAI — The Soviet Union is gone, al-Qaida is decimated, and Iran may never acquire nuclear weapons. But don’t get too relaxed. If you’re looking for reasons to be anxious about world peace, China offers an abundance.
It’s a huge country with a growing economy, an expanding military and ongoing disputes with several neighbors. Nationalist sentiment has grown. China is a rising power, and history indicates that rising powers often assert themselves in ways that lead to bloodshed.
If you demand immediate evidence, look only to the South China Sea, where the Chinese are locked in an ominous standoff with the Philippines over fishing rights. The Obama administration recently underlined its worries by announcing it would deploy up to 2,500 Marines in Australia. As the longtime dominant nation in the Pacific, the United States has much to lose if China decides to mount a challenge.
Pessimism is a perfectly reasonable response to China’s rise. It would not be surprising if it acts to become as dominant in its region as we are in ours. But in pondering the issue on a visit to China, I’ve found some reasons for hope as well. Tensions and disagreements may be inevitable, but military clashes and all-out war are not.
One encouraging fact is that the Chinese people are not naturally hostile to the United States. Shanghai pollster Victor Yuan told a group of journalists that included me, “Aside from politics, Chinese have a fully positive view of the United States.”
