Well, this campaigner-in-chief is going to really pour on the old and boring “I got Osama” bit. He is now in Afghanistan and will televise live to the nation tonight. And I bet he will crow and crow that if not for him (wonder if he will add his fat ass wife?) Osama would be alive and well. Oh, is there any damn way to shut him up about Osama?
(CNN) — President Obama made a surprise visit to Afghanistan today on the one year anniversary of the raid that killed Osama bin Laden. While in country Obama and President Karzai signed the Strategic Partnership Agreement which provides the framework for U.S.-Afghanistan partnership after transition and the draw down of U.S. forces. The president will also address the nation live from Afghanistan at 7:30pm ET.
Today’s visit to Afghanistan is President Obama’s third since taking office. His most recent visit was to the base at Bagram in December 2010. Bad weather kept the president from traveling the almost 30 miles to Kabul. His first visit was on March 28, 2010.
It was 9 years ago today when then-President George W. Bush declared an end to major combat operations in Iraq. Under a banner that read “mission accomplished,” President Bush addressed the country live from the deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln in the Persian Gulf.
John Bolton nails Obama on trying to take too much credit for Bin Laden kill..this is the man who got right to the nubbins of why Obama is pushing Osama so much! He is trying to make the country rally around HIM and not those who for years worked on getting Osama!
Companies Are Better Off Dropping Insurance Under Obamacare…
Here’s further proof that “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act” was a grand misnomer: the House Ways and Means Committee has released a report revealing that the healthcare reform law provides financial incetives for companies to drop insurance coverage. The employer mandate — requiring that companies with over 50 employees either offer insurance of a certain value or pay a fine — actually makes it cheaper for these companies to pay the fine.
The promise that you can keep your plan if you like it? Well…that’s not up to you, is it?
In total, the 71 Fortune 100 companies that responded to this inquiry could save an estimated $28.6 billion in 2014 alone by eliminating health insurance coverage for their more than 5.9 million U.S. employees (impacting more than 10.2 million employees and dependents covered by those plans) and instead paying the $2,000 per full-time employee fine created in the Democrats’ health care law. From 2014 through 2023, these employers could save an astounding $422.4 billion if they took this action.
Individually, these employers could save, on average, $402.3 million ($4,821 per full-time and part-time U.S. employee) – on an after tax basis – in 2014 alone by eliminating their health insurance coverage and instead paying the employer mandate’s $2,000 per full-time employee fine. From 2014 through 2023, the average employer responding to the survey could save $5.9 billion if they dropped coverage in favor of paying the mandate penalty.
Okay, here is a story about how ONE man screwed a hell of a lot of American homeowners! No freaking oversight, no committee to check his decision, no white house involvement, no congress wondering what is going on! This man deserves to be fired NOW with no damn pension! Every American who lost a home should be able to SUE this asshole!
Read the entire story for sure!
Agency ignored program to save homes, tax dollars, documents show…
A top U.S. housing regulator failed to implement a plan to cut loan principal balances for millions of underwater homeowners even though a pilot program showed two years ago it could save taxpayers money, two House Democrats said Tuesday.
Edward DeMarco, acting director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, which oversees mortgage giant Fannie Mae, “apparently ha(s) been withholding from Congress” documents showing the potential benefits of the program to taxpayers and homeowners, according to Reps. Elijah Cummins of Maryland and John Tierney of Massachusetts. The two Democrats, in a letter to DeMarco that was released to msnbc.com, said they obtained the documents from an independent source.
Cummins and Tierney cited internal documents at government-controlled Fannie Mae describing the pilot program with Citibank, beginning in 2009, that showed that “principal reduction programs have enormous potential to save U.S. taxpayers significant amounts of money.”
A spokeswoman for FHFA, which oversees the government agencies holding 60 percent of America’s home mortgages, said the agency could not comment because it had not yet received the letter.
Since last fall, DeMarco has resisted pressure to reduce principal balances on underwater mortgages despite calls from more than 100 members of Congress, who have argued that the action could help reduce taxpayer losses on government-owned loans and keep more families in their homes. So far the government has spent more than $160 billion in taxpayer funds to prop up Fannie Mae and sister agency Freddie Mac.
DeMarco’s resistance to the idea is based on his “philosophical” opposition to reducing the amount a homeowner owes, according to a former Fannie Mae official quoted in the letter.

The Men Of The North [Iraq] Do As They Please
May 1, 2012: When it comes to fighting terrorism, one thing the Iraqis miss is the Americans and their ability to work together. Since the Americans departed last year, Iraq has been crippled by a multiplicity of security organizations and a lack of cooperation. There are 14 separate police, intelligence and military organizations, each with armed men, investigators and their own prisons. Three of these organizations work directly with the prime minister, six works for the interior ministry, three for the defense ministry, one for the national security adviser, and one for the intelligence service. This sort of thing is a custom in the Middle East, to prevent any one armed group from becoming powerful enough to take control of the government. The U.S. disbanded over a dozen of the Saddam era security agencies, but as the new democratic government of Iraq was created, many political, tribal and ethnic groups wanted their own security forces. Many of these groups are hostile with each other, and the lack of cooperation helps terrorist and criminal organizations survive.

The House Republican freshman class has ratcheted up pressure on Speaker John Boehner to draw a sharp contrast with Democratic progressives and bring full repeal of the federal estate tax — popularly derided as the “death tax” — to a vote on the House floor.
Congressional Republicans, GOP freshman class president Rep. Austin Scott wrote in a public letter to the speaker, “are eager to present a clear cut choice to voters: Support the Republican plan to bury the death tax or support Democrats’ plan to hike the death tax to a crushing 45 percent rate, or higher.”
The Death Tax Repeal Permanency Act of 2011, introduced by Rep. Kevin Brady in March 2011, has 206 House co-sponsors, including four Democrats, ensuring it easy passage in the GOP-dominated House.
On the Senate side, Republican John Thune proposed a version of the same legislation in March of this year. That bill currently has 36 cosponsors.
While national polling shows Republicans are fighting an uphill public-opinion battle against President Barack Obama’s proposed “Buffett Rule” tax hike, state and national polling consistently shows that a majority of Americans oppose the estate tax and favor its permanent repeal.

Threatening Letters Containing White Powder Sent To Manhattan Banks
April 30, 2012
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Envelopes containing white powder turned up at multiple banks in Manhattan on Monday, police told 1010 WINS.
Five of the envelopes were sent to Wells Fargo banks, one was sent to JP Morgan Chase headquarters and another was sent to Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s Office and ended up in a mailroom on Gold Street.
The powder was determined to be cornstarch, police said…
Mr. Bloomberg was probably relieved to learn it wasn’t salt. Though, come to think of it, cornstarch probably scares him, too.
The envelopes also contained notes that were nearly identical, containing references to “May Day,” which falls on May 1 and is a traditional rally day for labor movements. The notes also included statements such as “You have 10 seconds to stop working,” “You are not in control” and “[Expletive] the banks.”
Occupy Wall Street is planning a big demonstration Tuesday in New York City, urging followers to block traffic at bridges and tunnels to make it hard for people to get to work. That has the NYPD suspecting that there may be an Occupy Wall Street connection to the letters.
Sherlock Holmes would be proud.
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Prostitution has plagued any number of internet sites in recent years – notably Craigslist – but now the CBS 3 I-Team has found a new hideout for hookers on one of the most widely-used social media sites.
Our exclusive investigation found Twitter is used by call girls all the time as a free way to advertise. A simple search for escorts returns hundreds of tweets. And, there are illicit pictures and lots of links to websites that are so X-rated, we couldn’t open them on company computers.
But it goes way beyond that: some prostitutes right in your backyard are even setting up appointments over Twitter, which is used by kids of all ages. The I-Team met up with one prostitute at a motel outside Wilmington, Delaware, having never spoken with her. All our communication was through Twitter.
We met another woman, who calls herself a “goddess” at a Cherry Hill motel after we saw her advertise her availability on Twitter.
Today is May 1, May Day. Back in 2007 and 2008, I advocated the idea of transforming this long-time communist holiday into Victims of Communism Day – a day of remembrance for the victims of history’s bloodiest ideology. This year, several bloggers are joining in an effort to commemorate the occasion. Jonathan Wilde of Distributed Republic deserves credit for organizing this effort.
I think that the rationale I offered for turning May Day into Victims of Communism Day in my first post on the subject still holds true:
May Day began as a holiday for socialists and labor union activists, not just communists. But over time, the date was taken over by the Soviet Union and other communist regimes and used as a propaganda tool to prop up their regimes. I suggest that we instead use it as a day to commemorate those regimes’ millions of victims. The authoritative Black Book of Communism estimates the total at 80 to 100 million dead, greater than that caused by all other twentieth century tyrannies combined. We appropriately have a Holocaust Memorial Day. It is equally appropriate to commemorate the victims of the twentieth century’s other great totalitarian tyranny. And May Day is the most fitting day to do so. I suggest that May Day be turned into Victims of Communism Day….
The main alternative to May 1 is November 7, the anniversary of the communist coup in Russia. However, choosing that date might be interpreted as focusing exclusively on the Soviet Union, while ignoring the equally horrendous communist mass murders in China, Camobodia, and elsewhere. So May 1 is the best choice.
Why do the obamabots have to make it so damn easy?
Via Free Beacon:
A new Obama campaign ad accusing Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney of shipping jobs overseas celebrates the president’s clean energy program, which has given taxpayer-guaranteed loans to foreign-owned companies and firms that manufacture their products outside the United States. [...]
Obama’s “clean energy initiatives,” as highlighted in the ad, include three taxpayer-guaranteed loans to Spanish clean energy conglomerate Abengoa worth $2.78 billion to create 195 permanent jobs (a rate of more than $14 million per job), as well as a$529 million loan guarantee to Fisker Automotive, a fledgling electric car company that manufactures its products in Finland and recently announced another round of layoffs in the hope of securing more taxpayer funding.
Here you go….the islamic nut has tweeted out that there are no colored states, just obama states! Hell, Iowa is no more!
