PETA just can’t take a joke.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is targeting “Hunger Games” star Jennifer Lawrence for her squirrel-skinning scene in “Winter’s Bone,” and the hunting scenes in her latest film.
For her Oscar-nominated role in 2010?s “Winter’s Bone,” Lawrence’s character is seen graphically skinning a squirrel in order to feed her poverty-stricken family.
In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Lawrence said of the scene, “I should say it wasn’t real, for PETA—but screw PETA.”
What the “animal-rights” organization doesn’t know is that when she was learning how to skin a squirrel before filming the scene, she ran away in tears because she couldn’t bear to finish watching, E! reports.
The squirrels used for “Winter’s Bone” were bought from a hunter near the filming location, so Lawrence is not actually killing a squirrel in the film — it’s just pure movie magic.

Notice a theme here, of not paying taxes, etc? This is yet again democrats wanting everything but not to pay for it! Plus of course, he probably will cry racism!
The Small Business Administration supported the loan, meaning that if Cleaver fails to make payments, the SBA picks up the tab on $1.1 million. Cleaver is likely to default on the loan in toto – he’s spent ten years paying off the original $1.35 million loan, and still has $1.2 million in unpaid principle, plus another $300,000 in late fees and charges.
The Grandview Auto Wash is apparently a major bust. “The Cleaver Company failed and refused, and continues to fail and refuse, to pay the outstanding obligations due and owing … under the note and other loan documents,” the lawsuit against Cleaver stated.
Cleaver’s run into trouble on the car wash before – he fell behind on his taxes in 2002 and 2003, as well as 2004 and 2005.
Good thing we’ll pick up the tab.

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin was on the Today show last week, and she did very well. It was an enjoyable show, and she handled the occasional barbs against her with class. But don’t mention that in mixed company (liberals and conservatives), or anywhere online.
Palin’s appearance on Today was met with an avalanche of criticism from the left. Websites like Democratic Underground and Huffington Post stewed in their hatred for Gov. Palin. Lefty mocker Jon Stewart ridiculed her. Former Today host Bryant Gumbel even said he was “embarrassed by Palin’s appearance on the show,” and he complained that she lacked the capability of reporting or interviewing, or having “a degree of gravitas.”
In these people’s attacks against Gov. Palin, the familiar refrain is that she is stupid, but that doesn’t sound quite right. When liberals criticize Sarah Palin is being stupid, they have a real anger in their voice or urgency in their blog posts.
If the commentariat were really concerned about a public figure who is stupid, they would focus on Vice President Joe Biden. To those who pay attention to the news, if they are honest, they would agree that Vice President Joe Biden is a real buffoon. This recent rambling explanation regarding gasoline prices was yet another proof of Biden’s foolishness.
But it is Sarah Palin for whom liberals have a special hatred when they assert that she is stupid. Why is this?
The last time the left in this country had such a full-throated denunciation of someone as stupid, it was of Ronald Reagan. I remember it so well because I too was a liberal during Reagan’s first term as president. It was very frustrating to denounce someone as stupid even as he was winning two landslide elections.
Even more frustrating, Reagan didn’t seem to care when he was called an idiot. He just kept doing what he saw as his mandate: unleashing the American economy and defeating the thugs of the Soviet Union. At the time, I remember feeling guilty in admiring the self-confidence of someone repeatedly called stupid but not seeming to care. It almost seemed a privilege to Reagan to be called stupid by liberals.

Meanwhile back at the White House, President Obama repairs to the Clinton walk-in humidor to take a break from demagoguing the decoy issue of the day. But the paranoid elephant in the room is the stunningly poor economic prowess of “The One.” Perhaps one of the few former Presidents Barry hasn’t compared himself with will have some insight for him. Hint: Obama is the one on the left, of course. –Dale

Someone claiming to be the sister of a man who committed suicide following an altercation on Reddit is threatening to file a wrongful death suit against nine Reddit users, and the company may also be subpoenaed for information about another three individuals. But is the whole thing an elaborate hoax?
In March, 51-year-old Reddit user “Black Visions” — allegedly named “Jerry,” in real life — had been writing frequently on the site about depression and suicide. When he announced his final post on Reddit and also threatened suicide, several fellow users decided to egg him on.
“I just wanted to say that, before I check out… This is probably my last post with this account. I just can’t see any reason to continue this existence any more. Time to add another notch to the statistics.”
Then he got into it with several users who questioned the veracity of his post.
“No its not a sick joke, as soon as I get the right tool for the job I’ll happily blow my brains out. … it doesn’t get better, nothing changes. I’m done.”
He supposedly is the same man who jumped eight stories to his death about an hour later at the Doubletree in Tukwila, WA.
“He wrote an email to me a couple of hours before he died,” Reddit user “sisterofblackvisions,” who claims to be the man’s sister, Sandy, posted on the site. “In the email, Jerry said ‘I do not hate anyone. Why do they say I hate? I only hate myself. They say that if ended my life, that it would be 1 down and 30,000 to go. I feel very helpless.’”
Meanwhile, the Tukwila Police Department tells a different story. “The case detective and the victim’s family confirm that the victim in the Tukwila Doubletree suicide was not named Jerry,” said spokesman Mike Murphy. “We are not going to release his name until after the case is closed, probably in a few months.” Other identifying details did not match up, either.

Another leftist saying stuff that the liberal press would crucify a conservative to saying.
Wait, it gets better. He’s also the chairman of the Maine legislature’s Moderate Caucus.
(Maine Wire) — Rep. Chuck Kruger (D-Thomaston), the Democrat chair of the Maine legislature’s Moderate Caucus, used his Twitter account to express his view that former Vice President Dick Cheney should be executed. This comment has led some to question the validity of Kruger’s moderate credentials.
Kruger made the statement through his Twitter account this past summer, saying, “Cheney deserves same final end he gave Saddam. Hope there are cell cams,” a reference to technology that would allow Kruger to watch the proposed execution of the former Vice President of the United States.
A tip alerted The Maine Wire to the extreme comment just days after Kruger led a meeting of the Moderate Caucus that featured a visit from Eliot Cutler, a former Democrat and failed candidate for Governor in the fall of 2010.

Media Matters for America’s newly installed Middle East expert is apparently following in the footsteps of disgraced former staffer M.J. Rosenberg, blasting Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D., Fla.) for pulling out a fundraiser hosted by an American Muslim leader who was placed on the Federal Terrorist Watch List.
Earlier today, MMFA researcher Walid Zafar cast aspersions on Wasserman Schultz for backing out of a fundraiser hosted by Khurrum Wahid, a controversial attorney with a track record of defending accused terrorists and associating with Muslim Brotherhood-backed groups.
“Shame on Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz,” Zafar tweeted, including a link to a story about the botched fundraiser.

Shorter Obama: You commoners and your silly complaints.
KMOV-STL’s Larry Conners: “The economy is a big issue and concern for folks. I mean, the unemployment, trying to make ends meet, gas prices, food prices going up. Some of our viewers are complaining, they get frustrated, even angered, when they see the first family jetting around, different vacations and so forth, sometimes maybe they think under color of state business and that you’re out of touch, that you don’t really know what they’re experiencing right now.”
President Barack Obama: “Well, I don’t know how many viewers you’re talking about that say that.”
Conners: “We do hear from some.”
Obama: “I hear from all kinds of viewers about everything.”
Conners: “I’m sure you do.”
Obama: “But the fact of the matter is, I think if you look at my track record, I’m raising a family here. When we travel, we got to travel through Secret Service, and Air Force One, that’s not my choice. I think most folks understand how hard I work and how hard this administration is working on behalf of the American people.”
Conners: “Well, of course, with all due respect, the President side stepped that question. No one is questioning his need to travel on Air Force One or have security. The questions being raised are the first family taking so many vacations, when and where, at taxpayer expense.”

I can hear it now: “Listen up punk faggots this is Al Sharpton, support Obamacare. Resist we much.”
(Reuters) — A top U.S. administration official asked civil rights activists on Thursday to help defend President Barack Obama’s embattled healthcare law, saying the reform package faces an “enemy” determined to set American health policy back half a century.
The remarks in a charged election year come two months before the Supreme Court is expected to issue a ruling that could make or break the law.
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius sought to cast the two-year-old reform law as a vital weapon against racial disparities that have long condemned U.S. minorities to higher infant mortality rates, shorter lifespans and limited access to medical services.
“The enemy is at the door and we know that they would like to dismantle these initiatives,” Sebelius told the annual convention of the National Action Network, a civil rights group led by the Rev. Al Sharpton.
“Healthcare inequalities have been one of the most persistent forms of injustice,” she said. “Now is not the time to turn back.”
