There’s a reason why booking a hotel room and spending the night feels so much better than a night in your bed at home.
Whether’s it’s a gorgeous palatial hotel in the Bahamas or the cheap motel at the side of the highway, there’s something particularly sexy about booking a room. I mean, who books a hotel room as a couple and doesn’thave sex? It’s pretty much implied. Well, science has an answer for why it feels so damn good.
AOL Travel, citing ‘researchers,’ but no study so we’ll have to take their word for it, reports that sex in a hotel gives you a rush of dopamine, not dissimilar to popping a drug or throwing back some booze.
Whether it’s the fresh sheets, being treated like a king by staff (ideally), or simply the feeling of being on vacation, even if you’re not, hotels give you a high.
Hotels also give you the feeling of being anonymous and truly alone. No pesky neighbors or kids listening in, no work calls (hopefully you told them you’re taking some time off). When you’re at a hotel, you’re generally feeling relaxed and comfortable, which can lead to some mind-blowing sex.
