Liberty-Crushing HHS Mandate Takes Effect August 1 – Today!

Tomorrow, the government’s liberty-crushing mandate that has elicited widespread outcry and led a federal judge to grant a preliminary injunction against the rule for a for-profit business will officially take effect.

On August 1, Obamacare’s preventive health services mandate will be implemented, and with it the Health and Human Services (HHS) anti-conscience mandate. After Wednesday, nearly all employers will be forced, at the beginning of their next health plan year, to pay for coverage of abortion-inducing drugs, contraception, and sterilization—regardless of moral or religious objections.

Despite the false assurances of the Obama Administration and supporters of the mandate, few employers will ultimately escape the rule’s coercive requirements.

The offensively narrow religious exemption included in the mandate effectively covers only formal houses of worship, leaving countless organizations—from schools and hospitals to soup kitchens—completely unprotected. Insinuating that faith should remain behind closed doors, not influencing or motivating the care for others, this mandate assaults the right to the free exercise of religion.

Among the many employers who do not meet the Administration’s narrow religious exemption, some may be able to get a one-year reprieve from the HHS mandate under the Administration’s “temporary safe-harbor” provision. Non-profit religious employers are eligible for the safe harbor only if they meet the Administration’sfour-part test.

Even then, the temporary safe harbor only delays the inevitable, merely giving religious employers an extra 12 months to silence their consciences and get in line with the government’s mandate. Many religious employers and all for-profit employers will not qualify for the safe harbor and will be subject to the HHS mandate as of August 1, 2012.

Obama’s State Dept criticises French Islamic veil ban

Historically America has been the global force for freedom. This has been our role in the world. It is only now, under Obama, that America has become a retrograde enforcer of everything we have stood against in our history: oppression, subjugation, and discrimination.

The full face veil is not religious. Even Muhmmad said that the woman’s body should be covered, not the face and hands. So it’s a political statement. A supremacist, racist sharia political statement. That is what America is getting behind. Stunning.

“The US is mixing up religious freedom with freedom of conscience,” he told FRANCE 24 on Tuesday. “In France we respect religion, but we also respect atheism. Believers and non-believers must have equal treatment under the law.”

The French are giving us lessons on freedom of conscience.

A wide-ranging US State Department report has criticised France and Belgium for passing controversial laws that prevent women from wearing full Islamic veils.

The US on Monday criticised France and Belgium for banning women from wearing face-covering Islamic veils in public, while warning of growing anti-Semitism and hostility towards Muslims in Europe.

The US State Department’s report on religious freedoms, researched in 2011 but released on July 30, 2012, warned that freedom of worship was being undermined across the globe — particularly in China and Pakistan.

Commenting on the report, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that more than a billion people worldwide lived “under governments that systematically repress religious freedom.”

“When it comes to this human right — this key feature of stable, secure and peaceful societies — the world is sliding backwards,” she said.

In Europe there was “growing xenophobia, anti-Semitism, anti-Muslim sentiment, and intolerance toward people considered ‘the other’,” according to the report, which also complained of a “rising number of European countries, including Belgium and France, whose laws restricting dress adversely affected Muslims and others.”

Romney’s Apology Tour

Mitt Romney’s recent triumphal tour of Britain, Israel, and Poland struck me as a much-needed and most welcome apology tour for Barack Obama’s abject abandonment and humiliation of our most loyal and trusted allies. Finally, here is an apology tour that Americans can get behind. It was a triumph. The enemedia says otherwise, of course.

Mitt Romney began the long overdue, overwhelming task of beginning to rebuild allied relationships with longtime friends who were abandoned and betrayed by a reckless, feckless, subversive president.

Romney kicked off his apology tour with a much-needed repair mission to our closest European ally, Great Britain. Obama seems to have taken a certain malevolent pleasure in insulting the Brits. As soon as he took office, Obama returned a cherished bust of Winston Churchill that had sat in the Oval Office. He was recently called out on it, and his deceit was amusing, but the Brits are not amused. The insulting gifts to the queen and other ugly, thoughtless acts demonstrated Obama’s contempt for the British and for our historic alliance with them.

Almost immediately upon taking office, you may recall, Obama went on the original apology tour of the Muslim world, inviting the then-banned and outlawed Muslim Brotherhood to his submission speech in Cairo on June 4, 2009. He then set out to dismantle the “special bond” the United States and Israel have shared since the re-establishment of the modern State of Israel. Obama was warmly received in Israel — it was as if a collective exhale could be heard at the Wailing Wall — but his actions almost immediately dashed Israeli hopes that he would not endanger the U.S.-Israeli alliance. His contemptuous treatment of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, a stark contrast to his warmth toward Palestinian jihad President Mahmoud Abbas, was only the most visible symbol of what has now become a three-and-a-half-year campaign to undermine Israel and promote the Palestinian jihad.

Obama’s betrayals didn’t end with Israel. He also abandoned Eastern Europe when he scrapped our anti-missile shield in Poland and the Czech Republic. Russia started war-gaming, and in response, Obama brought the missile defense shield program in Eastern Europe to an end. He deserted our Eastern European allies in an “appalling appeasement of Russian aggression and a willingness to sacrifice American allies on the altar of political expediency.” He left our best friends defenseless in the face of an increasingly aggressive Vladimir Putin. And what did Obama get for this? The egg on his face was, as always, carefully scrubbed clean by an agenda-driven enemedia. Poland asked, “Did America betray us? Or was it just Obama?” Romney answered that question decisively by making sure to include a stop in Poland on the last leg of his apology tour, making up for Obama’s numerous insults.

Lech Walesa, the former president of Poland, our greatest Eastern European ally, refused to take a meeting with Obama last year. He criticized Obama’s receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, pointing out correctly: “Well, there’s hasn’t been any contribution to peace yet. He’s proposing things, he’s initiating things, but he is yet to deliver.” But the Polish hero of freedom met with Romney and enthusiastically endorsed him, saying that Romney is “very observant, he gets it fast and draws conclusions. … He really intends to put the U.S. in the leadership position, he’s into problem-solving, so I have great hopes that his ideas; his experiences and his intentions will allow us to live in a safer, more prosperous world.”

Walesa said of Obama: “He simply doesn’t suit me.” And in fact, he doesn’t suit any freedom-loving American. Obama’s failures mounted, one after another. His apologizing for America was a presidential platform in Dresden. He even apologized to President Karzai of Afghanistan for an incident in which American troops burned copies of the Qur’an that jihad terrorists were using to pass messages to each other. The text of his apology was apparently so abject that it has never been made public.

Then there were his judenrein demands of Israel, and his abandonment of democracy in Honduras and Iran, Egypt, et al. But the average American voter knows virtually nothing of this, since the media has all but covered up Obama’s catastrophic failures. That’s why it is a masterstroke on Romney’s part to campaign on Obama’s failures and visit key locations of those failures, such as Israel and Poland.

Romney’s apology tour should be keystone of his campaign. It’s time that America apologize for abdicating, on Barack Obama’s watch, its leading role in defending freedom, and work to recover that role.

Obama: Romney going to raise taxes on everyone else by thousands of dollars to pay for huge millionaire tax cuts…

Obama told a crowd in Ohio today that Romney wants to give the top 1/10th of the top one percent huge tax cuts that would raises taxes on everyone else by $2,000. Seriously, he’s really trying to paint Romney as an evil rich bastard trying to enrich himself and his richy rich friends on the backs of everyone else. I mean, why doesn’t Obama just call Romney “Ebeneezer Scrooge” and get it over with?

Mitt Romney Loves Him Some Chicken…Just Like Sarah!

Mitt you need to speak up…do you like chicken or not?

No, I’m not asking you to get mired in the same sex marriage debate again, I want to know if you like chicken? And, if you do, I want to know if you approve of the left’s revival of the Rainbow Coalition’s tactic of extortion.

Better stated, do you want to win?

Because, if you do, you have to at least make an appearance at the fight.

Don’t get me wrong, you don’t have to fight their fight. But, you can no longer stick to your generic Republican playbook and refuse to acknowledge what’s going on around you.

I want my Presidential candidate to voice his opinion on the issues at hand. I know, I know “it’s the economy stupid;” but, while you’re spouting that line every chance you get, you’ve been outflanked by the queers (their word, not mine).

And, the queers are winning this one! They’re winning mainly because you and the GOP refuse to be led off course; but, also because you don’t want to risk offending the LGBT community.
