So last week, the democrats backing Obama (wonder how many are NOT backing him?) started attacking Mitt Romney for the Swiss bank account he had until recently. Guess they do not like republicans to have swiss bank accounts? So now here is the hyprocrisy of Obamatard and his regime.
Disgraced former MF Global CEO Jon Corzine also appears near the top of the list, raising more than $500K.

The list of the Obama campaign’s bundlers — or, they’re trying to rebrand them, “volunteer fundraisers,” contains the usual mix of celebrities and financiers, personal friends and professional operatives.
It also includes one bundler based in Geneva, Switzerland, Charles Adams, who heads the office of the law firm Akin Gump in the swiss capital. Adams raised more than $100,000 for Obama, according to the report.
When he and several colleagues joined the firm in 2010, Akin Gump touted the group’s expertise in “tax optimization for multinational corporates and high-net-worth individuals.”
Adams, who is a specialist in international arbitration, not tax law, is quoted saying: “We look forward to bringing our capabilities and standards to bear in international arbitration, international tax planning, and Swiss corporate and commercial law to benefit the firm’s world-class client base.”
Obama’s bundlers have another Swiss banking connection: Robert Wolf, who heads the U.S. office of the Zurich- and Basel-based UBS, raised between $50,000 and $100,000.
Obama’s likely rival, Mitt Romney, has come under fire from Obama aide David Axelrod and others for keeping his money in a Swiss bank.

CAIR couldn’t do this on its own, you know they had the backing of the Muslim-in-Chief.

California will run out of cash by early March if the state does not take swift action to find $3.3 billion through payment delays and borrowing, according to a letter state Controller John Chiang sent to state lawmakers today.
The announcement is surprising since lawmakers previously believed the state had enough cash to last through the fiscal year that ends in June.
But Chiang said additional cash management solutions are needed because state tax revenues are $2.6 billion less than what Gov. Jerry Brown and state lawmakers assumed in their optimistic budget last year. Meanwhile, Chiang said, the state is spending $2.6 billion more than state leaders planned on.

Last week, I noted that Obama turned his back not just on Arizona’s Governor Jan Brewer, but also on the laws of the State of Georgia. I closed my column, “Georgia Ballot Challenge: Obama Walks on By,” with the observation: “And most of the media has followed along right behind him.”
At the time, I had just witnessed an historic hearing that actually discussed the eligibility of the sitting president of the United States to run for a second term. The president had been subpoenaed to appear, and instead of his attorney respectfully following protocol to have that subpoena recalled, both Obama and his attorney, Michael Jablonski, simply failed to show up at all or offer any defense whatsoever.
Isn’t there a headline in there somewhere?
The hearing proceeded as planned, even though the table for the defense was empty. [snip]
When the hearing ended, the media in attendance almost literally pounced on Taitz … After the reporters finished letting Taitz feel the full extent of their contempt for both her and the entire morning’s event, they packed up to leave.
I walked up to one particular reporter from one of the prominent mainstream entities, noting that he seemed frustrated that he didn’t get a clear answer from Taitz to one of his questions, and I informed him that I did know the exact answer, if he’d like to hear more about it. He said no, he didn’t. I asked then, wasn’t he a reporter, and why did he ask the question if he didn’t want the answer? And as I was speaking, he turned and walked away from me.
The same thing happened with another reporter from another major network. He had asked Taitz why no one cared that there were past presidents who had fathers not born in the country. I explained to him that it was not the place of birth of the presidents’ fathers that was the issue, but rather the status of their citizenship at the time of their sons’ births. The reporter scoffed and told me that that was just my opinion, but when I attempted to inform him that it was also the opinion of the Supreme Court, he turned and walked away from me while I was in mid-sentence.

As Sunny of Sunny TV points out in this hilarious but uncomfortably true video*, “Tyranny is as Tyranny Does”; “[l]et’s just hope the next President is just as benevolent as Obama because they could really use that power for bad.” At the end of the clip, as Sunny pretends she is Obama, issuing orders right and left, she points to her crown and says: “This makes me in charge.” As Teri O’Brien noted in her interview discussing Obama’s penchant for walking away from those with whom he disagrees, “[g]ods don’t debate. They issue decrees.”
Attorney Irion, in this follow-up letter from his Liberty Legal Foundation, pointed out: “Yesterday President Obama completely ignored a court subpoena, and the world shrugged.”

WASHINGTON — Comparisons of the Tea Party movement to Occupy Wall Street have become a political parlor game over the past six months, but MSNBC host Chris Matthews believes there really is no contest.
Matthews told WMAL’s Morning Majority on Tuesday that the behavior of conservatives at Congressional Health Care Townhall meetings in the summer of 2009 — during the early days of the Tea Party movement — reached a level of hatred unmatched in recent times.
“I saw those people spitting on Congressmen, I saw them yelling at them. I saw a lot of anger in the room,” recalled Matthews, who says he believes the harsh rhetoric of those meetings reflected an actual personal hatred of President Obama.
“Actually, ad hominem, they hated the guy. Why do you think we have a Secret Service?”, he asked. “If you don’t think there was an honest fear of violence in that very hot period of around 2010, it was real,” he insisted. “I think there was a real fear on the part of security people that it might get out of hand,” he added.
As far as Matthews is concerned, the rancor has continued through the Obama presidency.
“There is a real level of national hatred of the president that I hadn’t seen before, certainly not under Clinton, or under Dubya,” he said. “The hatred, the Hitler mustaches, all that stuff. I haven’t seen that before,” he insisted.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano praised President Barack Obama’s administration for taking the “most serious” and “sustained actions” to secure the border in U.S. history.
“The Obama administration has undertaken the most serious and sustained actions to secure our borders in our nation’s history. And it is clear from every measure we currently have that this approach is working,” she said in her second annual “State of America’s Homeland Security” address Monday at the National Press Club.
Her remarks come after the Obama administration announced that it will begin reducing the number of National Guard troops on the U.S.-Mexico border.

(ABC News) — A man from Uzbekistan that the United States and the United Nations helped relocate to Colorado now faces a terrorism charge.
Jamshid Muhtorov opposed his home country’s dictator following a 2005 massacre, endured a brutal detention, and saw his sister arrested on a false murder charge. The 35-year-old fled his country by night dressed as a woman, and the U.S. and the U.N. helped bring him to Aurora in 2007.
Now, he’s accused of providing material support and attempting to provide material support to the Islamic Jihad Union. The violent group opposes the Uzbek government and has been designated a foreign terrorist organization by the U.S. State Department.
Federal authorities say the Islamic Jihad Union has claimed responsibility for attacks on coalition forces in Afghanistan, including a March 2008 suicide attack on a U.S. base. The group is also blamed for carrying out simultaneous suicide bombings of the U.S. and Israeli embassies and a prosecutor’s office in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
“It is a crime, and has been a crime for many years, to provide material support for a designated terrorist organization, the IJU,” said Dean Boyd, spokesman for the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington. “Our job is to enforce the law.”
The FBI said Muhtorov communicated with a contact with the IJU by email using code words, asking to be invited to the “wedding.” He also told the contact that he was “ready for any task, even with the risk of dying,” the FBI said.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A haz-mat crew with the Charlotte Fire Department was called to 600 East Trade Street, the site of the Occupy Charlotte movement, on Tuesday morning.
City workers who had been cleaning the area noticed toilet paper on top of a storm water grate that drains into a nearby creek. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police and city officials believe some protesters have been using the drain as a toilet.
“We’re looking at the environmental impact on the stream down there with the wildlife, and things like that,” said Deputy Fire Chief Jeff Dulin.
“Plus the water goes downstream for other people to drink further down. But again, we’re just trying to cover all our bases, and make sure that if there is any type of environment impact, that we’re able to identify that and then correct that and make sure there is no further environmental impact downstream,” he added.
About four protesters watched as haz-mat crews scooped debris into five containers for testing. Eric Dow, who has been on the site since October 2011, says he never saw anyone using the drain as a toilet. He says new protesters are told where the closest public restrooms are.

WASHINGTON – House Republicans are expanding their probe into the Obama administration’s energy programs, investigating $500 million in green job training grants that placed just 10% of trainees in jobs, according to a government report.
The program’s goal was to train 124,893 people and put 79,854 in jobs. But 17 months later, 52,762 were trained and 8,035, or roughly 1 in 10, had jobs. Those numbers come from an audit by the Department of Labor’s inspector general, which recommended that the administration end the program and return unspent money.
President Obama has made green jobs a cornerstone of his economic agenda. In his first 2012 campaign ad this month, he said clean energy industries created 2.7 million jobs and were “expanding rapidly.” But Republicans have pounced on failures, such as the bankruptcy of Solyndra, a solar panel maker backed with a Department of Energy loan guarantee.
Citing what he calls “abysmal results” in the job training program, House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif., is demanding answers about how the Department of Labor awarded the grants, which were funded out of the 2009 stimulus bill.

Obama to Share Missile Defense Secrets With Russia?
Now this is downright freaking crazy! Our president, Barack H. Obama, the nut who is doing his best to ruin our country, to help terrorists throughout the world, who wants islamics to take over our country, has now decided that Russia needs our secrets!
Bill Gertz of the Washington Times reports that President Barack Obama has indicated he is prepared to convey information about secret American missile defense technology to Russia:
In the president’s signing statement issued Saturday in passing into law the fiscal 2012 defense authorization bill, Mr. Obama said restrictions aimed at protecting top-secret technical data on U.S. Standard Missile-3 velocity burnout parameters might impinge on his constitutional foreign policy authority.
As first disclosed in this space several weeks ago, U.S. officials are planning to provide Moscow with the SM-3 data, despite reservations from security officials who say that doing so could compromise the effectiveness of the system by allowing Russian weapons technicians to counter the missile. The weapons are considered some of the most effective high-speed interceptors in the U.S. missile defense arsenal.
There are also concerns that Russia could share the secret data with China and rogue states such as Iran and North Korea to help their missile programs defeat U.S. missile defenses.
Even before this latest revelation, the entire enterprise of President Obama’s disarmament policy–from “reset” with Russia to selling out our European allies–had been a colossal failure, an exercise in cowardice and appeasement that placed the security of the United States at risk.
In the pursuit of a thirty-year-old leftist grudge against President Ronald Reagan’s policy of “peace through strength,” Obama has now apparently suggested his willingness to give away a technological edge eagerly coveted by Russia and especially by China.
There can be no stronger case for replacing Barack Obama in November.

California’s in trouble. Businesses are leaving along with intellectual and investment capital and skilled workers. But rather than face up to serious problems, legislators pass silly laws.
One would think that given the serious nature of the state’s problems, the legislature would focus on solutions at the exclusion of all else.
Instead, lawmakers — what would we ever do without them? — found the time in 2011 to trespass even deeper into Californians’ personal lives.
Topping off Sacramento’s monument to foolishness is a law requiring children younger than 8, except for those taller than 4 feet 9 inches, to sit in booster seats in cars. Previous law let kids leave their boosters at 6. (NOTE: One commenter noted how when in high school he was only 4’9?. Can you imagine making some high school kid today have to use a booster seat? Will buses come equipped with them?)
Now children who had moved out of cars seats are being forced back into them.
Actually, the law is more authoritarian — and offensive and infuriating — than it is silly. It assumes that wise lawmakers have a greater interest in children’s safety than their parents do. It also expands the state’s supervisory role over adults while decreasing their status as free citizens.
Next up is the law — one of 761 bills passed in 2011 that became California law — that bans the sale of over-the-counter cough medicine containing dextromethorphan to minors. That means popular brands such as Nyquil, Robitussin and Delsym that contain that ingredient are essentially controlled substances.
It is now also illegal in California for those under 18 to use ultraviolet tanning devices, and against the law for anyone, no matter what age, to buy alcoholic beverages at self-checkout lines.
Nor can they import shark fins.
Beginning this year, the state requires schools to intervene if personnel see gay bullying. Meanwhile, it makes schools teach the historical achievements of lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transsexuals.
And, no, we did not make up that last part. That’s just how mad governance has become in California.

The Palace of Westminster has rejected demands to serve halal meat in its restaurants.
Muslim MPs and peers have been told they cannot have meat slaughtered in line with Islamic tradition because the method – slitting an animal’s throat without first stunning it – is offensive to many of their non-Muslim colleagues.
The stance has infuriated some parliamentarians who have eaten meat in the Palace’s 23 restaurants and cafes, having been assured that it was halal.
Lord Ahmed of Rotherham said: ‘I did feel misled. I think a halal option should be made available.’
In 2010, the Mail on Sunday revealed schools, hospitals and restaurants were serving halal meat to unwitting customers.
Waitrose, Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Somerfield and the Co-op all said they stocked meat slaughtered according to Islamic tradition without letting customers know.
Fast-food chains including Domino’s Pizza, Pizza Hut, KFC, Nando’s and Subway are also using halal meat without telling customers, it was revealed.
However, a spokesman for the House of Lords and the House of Commons confirmed that it was not served in their restaurants.
Alison Ruoff, a member of the Church of England, said: ‘It’s a bit hypocritical that the Houses of Parliament, which have allowed other people to provide halal food, have ruled it out on their own premises.’
When the meat is slaughtered, Islamic verse is uttered before the animal has its throat slashed.

Our hospitals and pharmacies are lacking many drugs. WHY?
Now there’s this story about it nationwide:
The number of new prescription drug shortages in 2011 shot up to 267, well above the prior record and about four times the number of medication shortages in the middle of the last decade.
Figures just released by the University of Utah Drug Information Service, which tracks national drug shortages, show there were 56 more newly reported drug shortages in the U.S. last year than in 2010, when there were 211. By contrast, there were only 58 drug shortages reported in 2004.
As the drug shortages worsen, so does their impact on patient care, particularly in hospitals. The inability to get crucial medicines has disrupted chemotherapy, surgery and care for patients with infections and pain. At least 15 deaths since 2010 have been blamed on the shortages, which have set a record high in each of the last five years.
“At the beginning of the year, we were on a pace of about a shortage every day,” Erin R. Fox, manager of the service, told The Associated Press. “Luckily, that pace has definitely diminished.”
She noted the Food and Drug Administration has said it has prevented more than 100 new shortages in 2011. That’s partly because of an executive order President Obama issued on Oct. 31 to address the shortages, with provisions requiring more manufacturers to report potential shortages in advance to the FDA.
But Fox is still worried because many of the current shortages won’t be resolved anytime soon, based on reports from several key manufacturers that have had to shut down production because of contamination or other quality problems. For some medicines, there may be only one other manufacturer, which doesn’t have the capacity to fill the gap immediately or completely.
I wonder if the fact that hospitals are keeping so many illegals in their hospitals because the federal government won’t deport them and the hospitals can’t release them is causing some of this problem:
An unpleasant new report claims that many hospitals in major metro areas are struggling with the growing problem of “permanent patients.”
What’s a “permanent patient”? According to the New York Times they are mostly illegal immigrants or people who lack insurance or their own housing that the hospital cannot turn away.
The Times defines a “permanent patient”:
…[someone who has] been languishing for months or even years in…hospitals, despite being well enough to be sent home or to nursing centers for less-expensive care, because they are illegal immigrants or lack sufficient insurance or appropriate housing.
Of course, having dozens of patients hanging around that long means these hospitals are absorbing the bill for millions of dollars in unreimbursed expenses annually.
Unsurprisingly, the majority of these “permanent patients” are illegal immigrants because, as mentioned in the above, they have no housing or family in the area.
“Medicaid often pays for emergency care for illegal immigrants, but not for continuing care, and many hospitals in places with large concentrations of illegal immigrants, like Texas, California and Florida, face the quandary of where to send patients well enough to leave,” writes Sam Roberts of the Times.
What kind of cost are we talking about here?
“Care for a patient languishing in a hospital can cost more than $100,000 a year, while care in a nursing home can cost $20,000 or less [emphasis added],” Roberts reports.
Patients fit to be discharged from hospitals but having no place to go typically remain more than five years, says LaRay Brown, a senior vice president for New York City’s Health and Hospitals Corporation.
She says that there were about 300 patients in such a predicament throughout the New York City area alone, most in public hospitals or higher-priced skilled public nursing homes, though a few were in private hospitals, according to the Times.
Of course, Obama is right on it trying to fix the problem: by setting up hotlines so illegals who get arrested can get free legal advice…….from American taxpayers.
On Thursday, the Obama administration announced the implementation of a 24-hour-a-day, 7-days-a-week hotline for detained illegal aliens so that they may be “made aware of their rights.”
A U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement news release stated the hotline is a component of a “broader effort to improve our immigration enforcement process and prioritize resources to focus on threats to public safety, (on) repeat immigration law violators, recent border entrants, and immigration fugitives while continuing to strengthen oversight of the nation’s immigration detention system and facilitate legal immigration.”
The hotline number is 855-448-6903.
Of course, this effort to further accommodate illegal aliens is being supported with taxpayer funds.

New novel defense, only from a soft drink company!
Pepsi Co., facing a lawsuit from a man who claims to have found a mouse in his Mountain Dew can, has an especially creative, if disgusting, defense: their soda would have dissolved a dead mouse before the man could have found it.
An Illinois man sued Pepsi in 2009 after he claims he “spat out the soda to reveal a dead mouse,” the Madison County Record reports.
He claims he sent the mouse to Pepsi, which then “destroyed” the remains after he allowed them to test it, according to his complaint.
Most shudder-worthy, however, is that Pepsi’s lawyers also found experts to testify, based on the state of the remains sent to them that, “the mouse would have dissolved in the soda had it been in the can from the time of its bottling until the day the plaintiff drank it,” according to the Record. (It would have become a “jelly-like substance,” according to Pepsi, adds LegalNewsline.)
This seems like a winning-the-battle-while-surrendering-the-war kind of strategy that hinges on winning the argument that “our product is essentially a can of battery acid.”
The lawyers still appear to be lawyering behind the scenes but we cannot wait for this to come to trial (though we think a trial is about as likely as the chances of us “Doing the Dew” again).
