Tweets still must flow – Twitter develops a way to censor tweets by country, depending on a given nation’s set of laws. For example, Germany forbids pro-Nazi content. The alternative is to stay out of some countries altogether. Twitter hasn’t used this, but if they do, you’ll see it here.

What debate? He’s pushing text book class warfare. End of story.

(Chicago Tribune) — President Obama said Friday that one of the biggest fights he will wage on the campaign trail is the GOP criticism that his tax proposals amount to “class warfare.”

Nothing against the wealthy, Obama said, “everybody wants to be rich.” The question is, he said, whether the nation is offering opportunity to all.

“We’re going to have a robust debate about whose vision is more promising [for] moving this country forward,” Obama said.

The left’s logical case for abortion rights had officially collapsed.  We can thank CNN’s Piers Morgan for administering last rites when he resorted to the tired, sensationalized, “Yeah, well, what if your daughter was raped?” argument with Rick Santorum in a televised interview.

…you see virtually no liberal willing to speak to the most fundamental question of the entire controversy: the humanity of what is in the womb.  They simply declare any discussions of humanness, biology, and personhood rights to be above their pay grade, and thereby dismiss themselves from any expectation or obligation to answer questions that would expose their logical bankruptcy.  Instead, they set the parameters of the debate, and draw conservatives into wildly emotional exchanges that inflame passions rather than engage intellects.

[snip]

Morgan’s disgraceful retreat from sound logic to the manipulative playground of emotion-driven passions is as transparent as it is embarrassing.  This question is designed not to reveal any truth in the abortion debate, but rather, it is a tactical scheme made for the cameras in which the liberal questioner puts the conservative respondent in a corner.  If Santorum says he would deny his daughter’s pleas, he looks like the cold and heartless goon that Morgan believes him to be.  If he says he would relent and allow his daughter an abortion, he surrenders his moral high ground and appears a hypocrite.

And though Santorum answered the question effectively, stating that he “would do what every father must do…try to counsel your daughter to do the right thing,” there’s a greater point to be made here.  Liberal politicians never have to answer such outrageous emotionalism in their interviews.  Can you imagine, for example, Barack Obama being called on his condemnation of former President Bush’s advanced interrogation techniques with this challenge: “If Sasha and Malia were kidnapped and were being held and brutally tortured by terrorists, and we captured one of their accomplices who had knowledge of their secret hideout, would you not authorize any force necessary to get your girls back?”  Can you fathom the outcry against such a loaded, sensationalized question?

Talk about spouting bullshit!

President Obama seemed to admit that his State of the Union (SOTU) speech ran too long, as he acknowledged to House Democrats that they “had to suffer through” the event, before recapping the State of the Union in 40 minutes less time than the original.

“You already had to suffer through a relatively long speech from me this week, so I’m not going to speak too long,” Obama said at the House Democratic Retreat today. “What I wanted to do, first of all, was just say thank you [for your public service].”

Obama empathized with “how much your heart bleeds when you see constituents are going through a tough time.” …

Okay, got my final form from the OPM today about what I get each month for my postal pension. It lists my gross amount, then line by line what is deducted from that to end up with the net amount I actually get each month. Yes, the even take out of my retirement a portion for federal income tax! Geesh.

Anyways, the raise I got on the COLA for this year? That was eaten up real fast by the increase in my health benefits plan! Geesh again!

So now, barring some crap by our president or one of his czars or agencies, I know what I will get each month this year.

LIMBAUGH RIPS INTO OBAMA

Have a read and a listen:

“When all this kerfuffle starts about Mitt Romney, this 15 percent tax rate, he can say, ‘Look, we live in America, not some failed Soviet satellite. I favor a flat, or fair tax. I want to get rid of the IRS, or most of it. I favor denying big spending Obamacare liberals our income. I favor putting Obama and his reckless spending radicals on a diet, a diet we call private property rights. We call it limited government. We call it taking our country back,’” Limbaugh said.

However, Limbaugh was just getting warmed up. It’s not enough to simply refute the attack, Limbaugh said, but conservatives should go on the offensive and preach the message of conservatism.

“This class warfare garbage, it might work in these cloistered campaign circles surrounding Obama, but this is not our country. This is not a country that has been living under class envy all of these years since its interception. This is not about have and have-nots. It’s about protecting all of us from a bloated federal government. It’s about protecting us from everybody who benefits from bloated federal government and never-ending federal spending,” Limbaugh said.

From there, Limbaugh launched into the type of heated tirade that made him famous in the early 90s (via Daily Rushbo):

Occupy The PGA!!

I am a member of golf’s 99%.  I play golf, but have not yet made it to the professional level!!
I have played the game for over 30 years, but have not really put in the practice time and study to be the best.  I also probably do not have the skills to really get there either.

However, I now feel that I should be paid by the successful professionals for trying.  It isn’t fair that those players who have worked harder, have studied the game, have better equipment and are stronger and more skilled should make all that money.

Oh sure, they have their charities that they give millions of dollars to, but I am sure that they write all that off on their tax returns to reduce paying their fair share. Is that fair?

They should pay for my golf, buy me new equipment and pay me some of their winnings.  The whole system should be changed to accommodate people like me!!

Let’s occupy a golf course and demand that those who are better at what they do pay for us who aren’t as good. Whining should get us something, like media attention and sympathy from liberals!!

Here’s an informative infographic called the National Biomass and Carbon Dataset, which, according to Woods Hole Research Center scientist Josef Kellndorfer is “the largest high-resolution map of forest biomass yet assembled.”

A collaboration with the U.S. Forest Service and the U.S. Geological Survey, the national forest map was assembled using satellite imagery and on-the-ground measurements collected over the course of six years.

And from the nutty (the peanut farmer, get it?) ex-president from Georgia.

CAIRO – Former US President Jimmy Carter has urged the US Administration to support Egypt’s Islamists, stressing that this support will be in the interests of democracy, freedom and stability in the region, the official Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported on Thursday.

“What has happened in Egypt boosts democracy and freedom,” Carter was quoted by CNN as saying.

He added that Egypt now has the opportunity to form a democratic government elected by the people; it also has the same opportunity as free societies to achieve freedom and human rights.

Carter said he considers the US objections to the Islamists’ win in Palestine – referring to the Hamas movement – to have been a mistake, stressing that this mistake won’t be repeated with Egypt.

“I think it was a big mistake. Maybe we would now have peace in the Middle East if we had recognised a new, elected new government and supported and worked with it,” he commented, adding that this what we have learnt now in Egypt.

“We are now behaving differently, by giving the Islamists the chance to rule,” he commented.

Carter met about a week ago with Mohamed el-Morsi, the Chairman of Egypt’s new Freedom and Justice Party, the political arm of Muslim Brotherhood, at the premises of the party in Cairo.

Obama Campaign now going to Class Warfare

WASHINGTON — With Republicans distracted by an increasingly divisive primary battle, President Barack Obama and his aides have begun a high-stakes effort to change how voters look at the main issue in the 2012 election – the nation’s continued economic troubles.

Republicans would like to make the November election a referendum on Obama’s economic record. For much of his presidency, they have pounded away at monthly statistics showing high unemployment and anemic growth.

“We’re seeing continuing high levels of unemployment. We see home values declining; foreclosures remain at record levels,” former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney points out often. Obama, he says, “has failed in the job he was elected to do.”

Until recently, the main Democratic response was that although Obama’s stimulus plan and other measures had not cured the economy, they had averted another Great Depression. But party strategists concede that as a slogan, “could have been worse” is more likely to win support among economists than average voters.

So increasingly, Obama and his aides have switched to a longer view, trying to focus attention on what they portray as the president’s defense of the middle class. That positioning, they hope, will set up a helpful contrast with his November opponent.

“This isn’t just about recovering from this recession,” said a senior adviser to Obama, one of several who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about internal White House discussions.”This is about saving the middle class from a decline that’s been going on for three decades.”

(of course, this is very obvious, as Obama and the liberals have been on a class warfare kick for too long.)

A Massachusetts woman says TSA agents at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas confiscated her cupcakebecause its frosting violated TSA regulations by being too gel-like.

“I just thought this was terrible logic,” Rebecca Hains of Peabody told NBC News.

The Salem State University communications professor says the red velvet cupcake, which was sealed inside an 8oz mason jar, was a gift from a student.

She says TSA agents at Boston’s Logan International Airport let her through without incident.

“The TSA agent who saw them, picked them up and said, ‘these look delicious,’ and sent me on my way,” she told 7NEWS. When she confronted the McCarran agents with this fact, she was told that the agents at Logan must not have done their job.

A TSA spokesperson said the matter was under review, and that passengers were generally allowed to bring cupcakes onboard with them.

“It’s not really about the cupcake; I can get another cupcake,” Hains said. “It’s about an encroachment on civil liberties. We’re just building up a resistance and tolerance to all these things they’re doing in the name of security, when it’s really theater. It is not keeping us safe.”

(I made that last bit bold so you would notice it and read it a bit more carefully)

The DNC’s front line troops readying to do as they are told….

Warning to America’s superrich: Think Occupy Wall Street disappeared in winter’s cold? Wrong: The 99% just declared a new aggressive, covert special-ops war strategy to take back our democracy in 2012.

No more peaceful tent encampments in parks. No more Mahatma Gandhi nice-guy stuff. Not enough. Escalation time. Wall Street, the superrich and their Washington lobbyists are tone deaf, blinded by greed, trapped in their post-2008 business-as-usual bubble.

Warning; OWS tells us America’s going to be shocked by not one but hundreds of wake-up calls in 2012.

How? In a recent Washington Post column, OWS leaders say they are accelerating their battle strategy in 2012. In what amounts to a new declaration of war that promises to electrify the 2012 elections, OWS will be using new asymmetrical warfare strategies, write two of the men who have been the driving force behind the movement since early this year: Kalle Lasn, the editor-in-chief of Adbusters magazine, and senior editor Micah White.

Listen to some of the specific guerrilla tactics they warn will be used in their 2012 “American Spring” assault: A “marked escalation of surprise, playful, precision disruptions, rush-hour flash mobs, bank occupations, ‘occupy squads’ and edgy theatrics.” And in a New Yorker magazine interview shortly after New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s “military-style operation,” Lasn warned: “this means escalation, pushing us one step closer to a revolution.”

Guess how many people were beaten to death at a Tea Party rally?

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — More than 30 people gathered for a vigil to remember a man who died after a fight in the Occupy Eugene camp.

Occupy Eugene leader Kristen Carpenter told KVAL-TV, “We’re sorry we couldn’t have stopped the violence in the system sooner.” She said the Friday night vigil was not just for 54-year-old Rich Youngblood of Florence but also for all victims of street violence.

Police said Youngblood was beaten and choked at the camp on Monday. Authorities are still investigating.

The City Council ordered the camp be disbanded. The Eugene Register-Guard reported that a handful of campers remained in the camp on Friday afternoon and nobody was being allowed in except for members of a designated cleaning crew.

Guess how many times you heard this about a Tea Party get-together?

WASHINGTON (AP) — A U.S. Park Police officer who authorities say was kicked in the groin during a skirmish at the Occupy DC encampment was in so much pain that he vomited at the scene and had to be taken to the hospital, according to charging documents released Friday.

James D. Ruffin, of Sandy Springs, Ga., faces charges of assaulting a police officer and assault with a dangerous weapon. He was ordered detained Friday until a Tuesday court hearing. His lawyer, Lisbeth Sapirstein, declined to comment.

Authorities say Ruffin kicked the officer in the groin as the officer and others were trying to subdue him and put him into a police car. Another officer sprained his vertebrae during the scuffle, the documents say.

The scuffle took place Thursday afternoon after Park Police came to McPherson Square, the site of the Occupy DC encampment, for a report of a man assaulting a woman inside a tent. The officers encountered a woman who pointed out Ruffin and told them that he had entered her tent, vomited and jumped on her and others inside.

Police say Ruffin refused to present identification, cursed and yelled racial slurs at officers, and refused to stand up to be arrested. He kicked at officers who attempted to place him in the cruiser, and once inside, kicked the rear car door and bent the door from the door frame, authorities said. Officers used a stun gun at one point to subdue him, according to the documents. Ruffin is described in court papers as 6 feet 3 inches tall and 300 pounds.

This is your normal 7th to 9th century islamic law at work in the 21st century! No screaming from the liberals for sure. And these islamics say they belong to the religion of peace? Crap on them, there is a place in hell for all who participate in such savagery or promote such savagery or believe in such savagery.

Oh, and yet the islamics of the world rally and cry and whine and bitch about the western world?

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Authorities in Iran said Sunday they are again moving ahead with plans to execute a woman sentenced to death by stoning on an adultery conviction in a case that sparked an international outcry, but are considering whether to carry out the punishment by hanging instead.

Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani is already behind bars, serving a 10-year sentence on a separate conviction in the murder of her husband. Amid the international outrage her case generated, Iran in July 2010 suspended plans to carry out her death sentence on the adultery conviction.

On Sunday, a senior judiciary official said experts were studying whether the punishment of stoning could be changed to hanging.

“There is no haste. . . . We are waiting to see whether we can carry out the execution of a person sentenced to stoning by hanging or not,” said Malek Ajdar Sharifi, the head of justice department of East Azerbaijan province, where Ashtiani is jailed.

“As soon as the result (of the investigation) is obtained, we will carry out the sentence,” he said, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

The charge of a married woman having an illicit relationship requires a punishment of stoning, he said.

Again, ever hear of this happening at a Tea Party rally?

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Occupy Nashville protesters have been together since October 6 on Legislative Plaza. But on a day that many intended to be full of festivities, quite the opposite took center stage for a time.

“Well, today we’re celebrating mainly Christmas, but all holidays, of course,” said protester Lauren Mindos.

The group’s plan to celebrate the holidays together seemed fitting, especially since they have spent so much time together over the past few months and friends have become like family.

“It was a beautiful day. There was music,” explained Mindos. “There was dancing.”

However, that peace didn’t last the entire day.

Tensions flared between Occupy protesters on Christmas day. The situation got so bad, a NewsChannel 5 videographer had to call police for help.

NewsChannel 5’s videojournalist was on assignment at Legislative Plaza Sunday covering the holiday celebration, when the angle of the story suddenly changed. Two of the protesters started arguing with each other; one of them was three-months pregnant. Harsh words led to hair pulling and punching, and both of them landed on the ground.

While other protesters tried to break up the situation, NewsChannel 5’s videographer called 911 for help. Medics rushed to the scene and took the pregnant protester to the hospital to be checked out. Police started investigating the situation, and charges may be filed.

When will our government stop funding this idiots? Why do we even bother funding islamics?

(JPost) — Mohammed Shtayyeh, member of the Fatah Central Committee and one of the Palestinian Authority negotiators with Israel, was quoted Sunday as saying that the Palestinians may cancel the agreements signed between the PLO and Israel.

Meanwhile, some PLO and Fatah leaders have privately criticized Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas for agreeing to incorporate Hamas into the PLO.

At least three senior officials in Ramallah have voiced strong reservations over the decision, a Fatah official told The Jerusalem Post. He said that those who were opposed to the move were worried that Hamas would replace Fatah as the dominant party in the PLO.

One official was quoted as saying that Abbas was paving the way for Hamas and Islamic Jihad to take control not only over the PLO, but the entire West Bank as well.

Shtayyeh’s comments were published by the London-based Asharq Al Awsatnewspaper.

This was not the first time that a senior PA official had talked about the possibility of abrogating the Oslo Accords.

The comments came less than 48 hours after Hamas and Islamic Jihad agreed to join a temporary leadership of the PLO that would prepare for new elections for the organization’s two key bodies – the Palestine National Council and Executive Committee.
