Many of you have complained of late about a noticeable shift in Fox News, not only in its coverage of various political events, but also in its staffing. More and more, they are adding to their paid Fox News contributors with people who are in some way linked to the radical left. People have wondered aloud what could be driving this shift, and while we probably won’t ever know it with certainty, I’d like to call to your attention what could be the basis for a quid pro quo that would offer at least one explanation for it. In the months leading up to the revelations about the phone-hacking scandal at New of the World, another Murdoch news outlet in the UK, we saw the first signals of a change on Fox News, and of course, there have been rumblings of potential investigations and prosecutions here by our own Department of Justice. If Murdoch and Ailes have anything to fear from these scandals here in the US, then it wouldn’t be inconceivable that the corrupt Department of Justice under Eric Holder and Barack Obama could use it as the potential stick to lash Fox News into political compliance.
One of my favorite talkshow hosts, Tammy Bruce, likes to talk about how her listener-supported show and site are advertising-free, and that one of the benefits is that she doesn’t have to put up with the demand of what she calls “Gestapos” who would tell her what kind of content she must or must not have in order to continue her show. It’s rather harder for somebody to take from you the independence of thought on which your success is based if they have no leverage to do so. In that scenario, you’re not worried any longer about advertisers threatening to yank their support. Of course, you could theoretically annoy all of your listeners but that’s not likely if their support was built as much on the character of your ideas as on your personal style and presentation of them, because not many people radically transform their beliefs over night.
The reason I make mention of this is because as a large commercial outlet that makes it money from advertising, and as a corporation operating primarily in the United States, Fox News is subject to all of the laws that the federal government might apply to it. As a subsidiary of NewsCorp, Fox News is subject to political tampering not only by threats of legal action against it directly, but also by virtue of legal threats against the parent company. This would mean that whomever held the prosecutorial sword would be able to exert some influence simply by rattling it a bit. In this case, we’re talking about the most politicized Department of Justice since, well, ever… I have no doubt that the crowd of Chicago thugs in the White House would happily apply pressure to derive the kind of coverage they seek from Fox News. The question then becomes: Are Murdoch and Ailes worried enough about potential legal matters to be man-handled in such a manner?
Read it ALL.
(best reason I have found for what is going on)
WTF? Funny for such a small set!
Gene Sperling at the WH says Obama’s latest budget is a democratic budget and that Obama wants a global minimum tax (2.13.2012)…
Now, this is what is wrong with our world…..
Someone can mock the heck out of the catholic church, can mock Jesus Christ, can mock God, and not one person will get hurt! Not one liberal will bitch! And for sure all the islamics will clap and say that is good.
Now can you imagine if this dumb bitch has mocked Islam? Mocked Mohammed? Why, every freaking liberal asshole, starting with Obama, would be screaming bloody murder, want this singer arrested, the station to apologize, and more! Plus of course, the freaking ragheads of the world would want her dead! What everyone who clapped to have their hands chopped off! And much more!
Only in a liberal world can this idiot below get away with shit like that! Maybe the Pope, the Jesuits, should finally go on the warpath and do as the islamics do?
Feds shut down Amish farm for selling fresh milk Again, our gestapo agents at work!
In a recent sermon, the General Guide of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, Muhammad Badi’, set out his vision for his movement and for Egypt in the post-revolutionary era. Citing Muslim Brotherhood founder Hassan Al-Bana, he stated that the movement has two goals. The immediate goal is to prepare the hearts and minds of its members, which involves “purifying the soul, amending behavior, and preparing the spirit, the mind and the body for a long struggle.” The second, long-term, goal is to affect “a total reform of all domains of life,” which will eventually result in establishment of an Islamic state governed according to Koranic law – first in Egypt and eventually in the entire world.
Badi’ stressed that this long-term goal can only be achieved by gradual stages: by “reforming the individual, then restructuring the family, then building society and the government, then [establishing] the rightly guided Caliphate, and [finally achieving] mastership of the world.” He also emphasized that this must be achieved through cooperation among all the forces and sectors in Egypt, and without any coercion: “All these purposes and goals… must be realized… through unity of ranks [not division], by persuasion, not coercion, and by love, not by force.” Badi’ warned against the “attempts to split up the united ranks [of the nation] and drive a wedge between young and old, men and women, Muslims and Christians, and [different religious] schools and groups,” saying that the Egyptian nation will need all of its human resources in order to meet the challenges that lie ahead. Finally, he advised his followers not to follow their emotions but to manipulate the circumstances rationally and realistically: “Do not fight the ways of the world because they are overpowering. [Instead], try to overcome them, use them, change their course, and pit some of them against others.”
(see, the islamics are not exactly hiding their true intentions, yet obama and his goons, the liberals, just do not see or hear this)
When Wayne LaPierre, executive vice president of the National Rifle Association (NRA), spoke at CPAC on February 10th, he predicted that if Barack Obama wins a second term it will usher in an all-out attack on the Second Amendment. In so many words, he said the same people who brought us Fast and Furious, “a criminal enterprise” for which there has yet to be prosecutions, will use four more years to gut constitutional protections on the right to keep and bear arms. And anyone who wonders what this assault on the Second Amendment might look like need look no further than Illinois, where a judge that President Obama appointed has just ruled that we have the right to keep arms, but not to bear them.
That’s not a typo. Rather, it’s an unbelievable decision recently delivered by U.S. Judge Sue Myerscough, in a challenge which the Second Amendment Foundation filed against Illinois’s ongoing prohibition against carrying concealed weapons in that state. Said Myerscough, in rendering her decision: “[Although the] plaintiffs argue that the Second Amendment protects a general right to carry guns that include a right to carry operable guns in public … [the] Supreme Court has not recognized a right to bear firearms outside the home.”
This is troubling for many reasons, not the least of which is the fact that Myerscough has completely disregarded the fact that our natural, God-given rights are not subject to court approval for viability. Rather, our Founding Fathers used the Bill of Rights to build a hedge of protection around those rights with which we were endowed by our Creator. And one of those rights was the right to self-defense, and therefore the right not only to keep but also to bear the arms necessary to defend ourselves. On this point, the language of the Second Amendment couldn’t be clearer: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
(Fox News) — A re-branded ACORN branch in California is raising money to help fund an upcoming “Occupy” protest in Sacramento, FoxNews.com has learned.
The Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment sent out letters this month pleading for contributions of up to $20,000 for buses, food, printing, sound and other supplies for an upcoming event dubbed “Occupy the Capitol.”
“Thousands of us are arriving in Sacramento on March 5 to Occupy the Capitol with our demand that the 1 percent pay for jobs, education, essential services, and a better future,” reads a copy of the letter obtained by FoxNews.com. “We need your activists and staff to join us. …We also urgently need funding.”
The letter, which was posted on the California Federation of Teachers’ website, lists a tiered system for donors. To be a “Working Class Hero,” donors must give $20,000, or enough to “rent 20 buses” for the protests. A gift of $5,000 earns an “Occupy Ally” designation.

Kaiju Big Appetite Takeru Kobayashi schooled a bunch of fat Philly wing-eaters today, taking home the Golden Bone at the 20th annual Wing Bowl after gavaging down a record-setting 337 chicken wings in 30 minutes.
The previous record of 255 was set by Jonathan “Super” Squibb, a three-time champ who fell to Kobayashi along with favorite son Bill “El Wingador” Simmon, a five-peater.
“He was great,” said Squibb of his insatiable rival. “If I was going to lose, I was going to lose fantastically.” Squibb’s consolation prize was setting a personal best of 271 wings.
After the sauce settled, Kobayashi, who took home $20,000 for his forthcoming intestinal trouble, told reporters he had room for 100 more.
(Politico) — First Lady Michelle Obama will help celebrate the second anniversary of the Let’s Move program at a Fort Worth, Texas-area Olive Garden next week.
According to the White House, the first lady will hold a roundtable discussion on February 9th at the chain with local parents who have made a commitment to healthier eating in their homes and communities.
While the Olive Garden is better known for its bottomless pasta, the appearance is due to a commitment by the restaurant’s parent company to offer healthier options for children. Darden, the corporation which owns Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Longhorn Steakhouse, signed a legal agreement last year to offer healthier side dishes and better food options for children’s menus.
Without much fanfare, the Department of Transportation (DOT) enacted a rule which requires airlines to ensconce all government taxes and fees in a single total advertised price with the fare. For example, if you purchase a $350 plane ticket with $50 of taxes and fees, the DOT is demanding that the airline advertise the price as $400. Airline passengers pay over a dozen taxes and fees on any given airplane ticket, but the government doesn’t want us to know that. The rule was finalized last April, but only took effect last week.
The timing of this rule is very fortuitous. This week, Congress will finalize negotiations for a long-term FAA funding bill. This bill authorizes the collection of all taxes – including taxes on aviation fuel, domestic and international ticket taxes, and cargo –directed to the Airport and Airway Trust Fund, which provides the bulk of FAA funding. As usual, Democrats want to spend more money on wasteful projects, and are all too hungry to increase aviation taxes. What better way to leverage tax increases than by forcing airlines to hide their cost and to shoulder the blame for the perceived higher price tag at the top!
Blazing Cat Fur has a hilarious story about the CBC filing a copyright suit against YouTube because of an embarrassing juxtaposition that Sun TV put together during an interview with the CBC mouthpiece, Kirstine Stewart, who was propagrandizing about the great social benefits of the public funded CBC programming.
If only our media was as ballsy and intelligent

The Santa Barbara Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying those involved with a recent rash of vandalism in the Mesa area, including a Wells Fargo ATM that has been damaged on several occasions.
The most recent event occurred Wednesday when a property owner at Shoreline Plaza, 1819 Cliff Drive, reported that a Wells Fargo ATM had been spray-painted and the screen smashed.
“Class War” was written in black spray paint and referenced the Occupy Oakland movement, according to Sgt. Riley Hardwood. The wall of the CVS pharmacy at 1815 Cliff Drive was also damaged.
Harwood said a person of interest was caught on a surveillance camera in the area around 2:30 a.m.
Earlier that morning, officers were dispatched to Santa Barbara Bank & Trust at 1960 Cliff Drive after a carpet cleaning driver discovered the front glass doors of the bank had been shattered and the ATM screens damaged. At 4:10 a.m., police officers were dispatched to Starbucks at 1990 Cliff Drive after a food delivery employee arrived and saw that the front glass doors were smashed and cracked, Harwood said.
The ATM involved has been vandalized three times in January, according to police. The screens were shattered and messages sprayed on the exterior CVS wall on Jan. 10, 12 and 24.
Here’s what Schultz opined after interviewing Democrat state senator David Schapira of Arizona about Republican state lawmakers pushing legislation that would end collective bargaining by public employee unions:
This is America being transformed right in front of our eyes. I don’t, you know what? I did that promo, I need two shows, I need my own network! And that’s not going to be enough! … Am I wrong? Am I overreacting? I’m not angry about it. I mean, well, yeah, I am. But I mean, I’m almost speechless after what I just heard. (referring to interview with Schapira) It’s in every back yard. This is why I went home to do my promos on MSNBC to illustrate, you don’t have to go very far to find empty containers. You don’t have to go very far to find your school district being gutted by the righties. You don’t have to go very far before you better be packing iron ’cause we ain’t got any cops left.
(what? first he wants to stop gun sales, register all guns, repo all guns, get rid of all guns? now he is telling all the liberals to get a gun?)
Leading international news organizations rely on MEMRI for translations of Arabic and Iranian media which expose the bare naked truth about Islam that pressure groups like CAIR try to hide from the West.
Dougie says, “Until there is a Muslim equivalent, we are stuck with MEMRI.” Problem is, there will never be a comparable Islamic source willing to expose the kind of anti-Israeli and anti-American hatred and propaganda fed to children and adults on a daily basis on Muslim TV.
Read about the above and so much more about those islamics and islamic groups that want to kill us HERE.
