Obama now embracing Muslim Brotherhood
NEW YORK TIMES – With the Muslim Brotherhood pulling within reach of an outright majority in Egypt’s new Parliament, the Obama administration has begun to reverse decades of mistrust and hostility as it seeks to forge closer ties with an organization once viewed as irreconcilably opposed to United States interests.
The administration’s overtures — including high-level meetings in recent weeks — constitute a historic shift in a foreign policy held by successive American administrations that steadfastly supported the autocratic government of President Hosni Mubarak in part out of concern for the Brotherhood’s Islamist ideology and historic ties to militants.
The shift is, on one level, an acknowledgment of the new political reality here, and indeed around the region, as Islamist groups come to power. Having won nearly half the seats contested in the first two rounds of the country’s legislative elections, the Brotherhood on Tuesday entered the third and final round with a chance to extend its lead to a clear majority as the vote moved into districts long considered strongholds.
The reversal also reflects the administration’s growing acceptance of the Brotherhood’s repeated assurances that its lawmakers want to build a modern democracy that will respect individual freedoms, free markets and international commitments, including Egypt’s treaty with Israel. …
It would be “totally impractical” not to engage with the Brotherhood “because of U.S. security and regional interests in Egypt,” a senior administration official involved in shaping the new policy said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss diplomatic affairs.
“There doesn’t seem to me to be any other way to do it, except to engage with the party that won the election,” the official said, adding, “They’ve been very specific about conveying a moderate message — on regional security and domestic issues, and economic issues, as well.”

It is now official U.S. Government policy that Islam has nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism, and that therefore any examination of the stated motives and goals of Islamic jihad terrorists constitutes “Islamophobia” and must be shunned, as well as punished. But new revelations this week from a confessed jihad plotter indicate that this is exactly the opposite policy of what should have been adopted.
A young Muslim named Abdel Hameed Shehadeh recently tried to join the U.S. Army, not out of patriotism but as part of a plan to surprise American soldiers and murder them in the name of Islam and jihad. But he was caught, and began talking; if even some of the information he has given investigators is accurate, he has exposed a jihad network of impressive proportions that should end politically correct self-deception in law enforcement officials’ approach to the problem of jihad terrorism in the United States.
Shedaheh provided the FBI with enough information to fill a 22-page report that is so incriminating to him personally that his lawyers are now trying to suppress it. Those he named would also no doubt like to see his report suppressed. According to the New York Daily News, Shehadeh was “a fount of information.” Among the jihad plotters he named were “Brooklyn teachers of the Islamic orthodoxy Salafism” and Muslims who “delivered pro-jihadist speeches at mosques or ranted in online chat rooms.”
The Islamic advocacy establishment in the U.S. insists that all Muslims in this country happily accept Constitutional freedoms and pluralism, and that anyone who suggests otherwise is a venomous “Islamophobe.” If Shehadeh’s claims are true, however, Salafism, a form of hardline Islam that calls for the imposition of Islamic law in its fullness, including stonings, beheadings, amputations, and warfare against unbelievers, is being preached not just in Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Iran, but also right here in Brooklyn.

China is engaged in a major military buildup aimed at ending the total domination of the western Pacific that the US has enjoyed since the end of World War II, the Wall Street Journal finds.
Pentagon officials, who publicly decline to describe China as a threat, say the number of potential flashpoints in the region is growing and China is eying American allies in the region and flexing its muscles—at the very least looking to force US warships to keep their distance from its shores. “You can’t say China’s a threat,” says an expert of America’s refusal to acknowledge Beijing’s growing might. “You can’t say China’s a competitor.” The US is building the first of a new class of its long-dominant aircraft carriers, but China may already have a countermeasure in the form of a new missile capable of hitting the deck of a carrier up to 1,700 miles away. A single such strike could kill more American servicemen than died in the Iraq war, leading some military officials to say it’s time for the US to rethink its reliance on aircraft carriers. “The (USS) Gerald R. Federal agency tasked with groping travelers is a recruiting ground for perverts
Yet another TSA screener has been exposed as a pervert after police raided the Maryland home of 41-year-old TSA screener Scott Wilson and discovered videos and photos of child pornography contained on over two dozen different storage devices.
“A “forensic preview” of Wilson’s two computers (as well as various storage devices found in a locked safe) revealed a variety of videos and photos “depicting prepubescent females engaged in sexually explicit conduct with adults,” reports The Smoking Gun.
Wilson, who was responsible for screening cargo on commercial flights, has been freed on $250,000 bail after DHS officials found obscene images and videos on 31 separate storage devices. It is not known whether his TSA role included conducting pat downs of children, which the TSA asserts it has discontinued for under-12?s yet are still occurring on a regular basis.
Given the clear pattern of TSA workers being caught engaged in acts of criminality, with a particular emphasis on sexual harassment towards women and children, anecdotal evidence suggests that perverts are being attracted to work with the TSA because the role affords them the opportunity to grope, harass and intimidate the targets of their perversion.
Indeed, when a You Tube user called the TSA looking for a job while pretending to be a sexual deviant as a satire piece, he was treated seriously by a TSA staffer.
In March 2010, it emerged that TSA worker Sean Shanahan, who was employed at Boston Logan International Airport to pat down passengers, had been charged with multiple child sex crimes targeting an underage girl.
Similarly, 57-year-old Charles Henry Bennett, who worked at Orlando International Airport as a TSA screener, was arrested in November 2010 in connection with the molestation of a 6-year-old girl whom he planned to make his “sex slave”.
2011 has seen an explosion in cases of TSA criminality, including agents abusing their power to sexually harass women. Last month, 52-year-old TSA worker Harold Glen Rodman allegedly approached a woman in full uniform before flashing his badge and proceeding to brutally rape and sodomize her.
Earlier this year, a TSA agent in Connecticut was charged with harassment after he posed as a cop by flashing his badge at a woman in an attempt to intimidate her into driving faster.

Must be nice to take $4 million vacations and rub it in the noses of the American people by playing golf every day:
President Barack Obama is playing golf this afternoon, his fourth golf outing of his Hawaii vacation, as he wraps up a full week of vacation.
Obama is playing the Kaneohe Klipper course on Marine Corps Base Hawaii for the third time in a week. He left his rented vacation home at about 11:30 a.m. The White House has not yet released the names of his golf partners. . .
Even more insulting when he does it with a felon who solicited prostitutes.
The media was virtually silent on Obama and his prostitute seeker.
Think of how the Liberal Media would have been drooling at the thought of 24/7 coverage if this were President Bush hanging out with a CONVICTED prostitute seeker.
Say what you will about his politics, but it seems President Obama is a very loyal friend. Earlier this year, his high school buddy, Robert “Bobby” Titcomb, was arrested as part of a prostitution sting, after he allegedly approached an undercover police officer for sex in downtown Hawaii (a judge fined him $500 and, if he stays out of trouble for six months, it’s off his record).
A friend’s legal troubles might lead some high profile politicians — especially a President in the midst of a fierce partisan political war — to shy away from appearing publicly with them. But not President Obama. On vacation in the Aloha State with his family, the President has taken in big meals, released turtles into the wild, and has played several rounds of golf. At least two of those rounds have been with Titcomb.
What seems particularly interesting (“refreshing”?) here isn’t that President Obama would still hang out with a friend who had been arrested; it’s how many media outlets have either made no reference to Titcomb’s arrest, or simply stated it in passing. Both The New York Times and The Washington Post briefly made a note of Titcomb’s past in reporting the vacation stories. In this day and age of “gotcha!” controversy-driven political coverage, is it surprising not to see more of a big deal being made? And maybe even more surprising, there doesn’t seem to be a purely political divide within the media. FoxNews.com, for example, in a story about Obama’s golfing on Christmas Eve, didn’t even mention Titcomb’s arrest when reporting on his participation.

(JPost) — Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood will not recognize Israel “under any circumstance,” the party’s deputy leader Dr Rashad Bayoumi told Arabic daily al-Hayat in an interview publish Sunday.
In recent Egyptian elections the party list led by the Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) won 36.3 percent of the list vote, while the ultra-conservative Salafi al-Nour Party took 28.8%.
When asked whether it is a requirement for the government in Egypt to recognize Israel, Bayoumi responded by saying: “This is not an option, whatever the circumstances, we do not recognize Israel at all. Its [Israel] an occupying criminal enemy.”
The deputy leader stressed during the interview that no Muslim Brotherhood members would ever meet with Israelis for negotiations. “I will not allow myself to sit down with criminals.”
Bayoumi went on to say that The Muslim Brotherhood would take legal procedures towards cancelling the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel that was signed in 1979. “The Brotherhood respects international conventions, but we will take legal action against the peace treaty with the Zionist entity,” he told the paper.
