Along with 24 million others who aren’t valid any longer.
The United States’ voter registration system is in chaos — about 24 million registrations are no longer valid and nearly 2 million dead people are still on voter rolls, according to a new report Tuesday. [snip]
But hey, voter ID’s are oppressive.
The Obama Administration’s re-election mobilization continues: Witness Eric Holder’s attempt to play the race card and perhaps twist the law in a campaign against voter identification laws.
In the Attorney General’s telling, the movement in the states to require voters to show some ID is a revival of minority disenfranchisement a la Jim Crow. A growing number of minorities, he said in a speech last week, are now worried about “the same disparities, divisions and problems” that beset the country in 1965 and “many Americans, for the first time in their lives . . . now have reason to believe that we are failing to live up” to the promise of democracy for all.
If you haven’t heard about this national crisis, perhaps that’s because you don’t travel in Mr. Holder’s political circles. He is merely repeating the howls of groups like the NAACP and the George Soros-funded Brennan Center, which claim without evidence that voter ID laws hurt minorities.
The NAACP even petitioned the United Nations this month for a human-rights ruling on what President Benjamin Jealous called a “tidal wave of assaults on the right to vote.” He meant in America, not Cuba or North Korea. The American Civil Liberties Union has sued to challenge a voter ID law in Wisconsin.

(ABC News) — President Obama is using a new label to describe himself in making the case for a second term: chauvinist.
“I’m a chauvinist,” Obama told a crowd of 450 supporters who each paid $1,000 or more for a reception at a Bellevue, Wash., hotel.
“I want America to have the best stuff. I don’t want to go to China and see their airports better than ours, or go to Europe and see their railroads faster than ours,” he said.
To bankroll the “best stuff,” Obama says he will continue to ask wealthier Americans, especially millionaires and billionaires, to “pay their fair share.”
“For all of us to succeed, we have to have an investment in each other’s success,” he explained later.
(hahaha….can you imagine the screaming from the lefties if a republican said he was chauvinistic?)

Damn! Let’s go to Australia! Unless this does not apply to whites.
BOATLOADS OF GOODIES await the Muslim invaders, all claiming to be asylum seekers, when the truth is, most of them aren’t seeking political asylum, but looking for generous handouts and perpetual welfare benefits. Free washing machines, microwave ovens, DVDs and plasma TVs are among a 60-item welcome gift pack for asylum seekers offered rent-free homes in the community.
Daily Telegraph: To fulfill a promise to move an influx of families out of detention, the Gillard Government is now fitting out each home with up to $10,000 worth of furnishings and electronics.
They are given food hampers upon arrival at rented homes where they wait for their claims to be processed.
The revelation comes as border protection authorities reveal they have intercepted two more boats carrying asylum seekers overnight, five boats in the past week, and middle – and high-income families struggling with cost of living pressures brace for cuts to private health rebates and the impact of the carbon tax.

Recent news that the New York Police Department presented the film “The Third Jihad” to nearly 1,500 officers is only the latest example of anti-Muslim training materials being used in ways that harm our national security.
The film baselessly contends that “the true agenda of much of Islam in America” is to “infiltrate and dominate America,” smearing a religion that has been part of this country since its founding. Incidents like these sound the alarm on the need for greater transparency and oversight of counterterrorism training at all levels of government.
The NYPD’s use of “The Third Jihad” is disturbing because it leaves officers with the impression that American Muslims are the enemy, not an ally against terrorism. This notion hurts the ability of law enforcement to do its job. No one knows this better than the brave officers who have stood up to such bigotry – it was NYPD officers who objected to the screening of the film, just as it was FBI agents who recently objected to using equally harmful training materials at the bureau.
“The Third Jihad” was produced by the Clarion Fund, a group that lacks national security credentials but is flush with cash. Far-right wing donors gave the Clarion Fund $18 million between 2001 and 2009 to drive their political agenda through Islamophobic films. The group mailed its last film, “Obsession: Radical Islam’s War Against the West,” to 28 million swing state voters weeks before the 2008 election.

(Aspen Daily News) — First Lady Michelle Obama arrived in Aspen on Friday afternoon and is here with her daughters for a ski vacation.
Few details about her trip were available. Sources said she is staying at the home of Jim and Paula Crown, owners of the Aspen Skiing Co. She is reportedly skiing at Buttermilk today, where the Crowns, of Chicago, own a home on the Tiehack side.
Several people have known about the “low-key” vacation, with the Secret Service in town for the past few days scoping out places for the family to relax and enjoy what the resort has to offer.
Pitkin County Sheriff Joe DiSalvo confirmed that he has met with the Secret Service and has loaned seven deputies to help protect the first lady and her family.
(to be fair, it has been about a month since the queen went on vacation. yet another sign that these obamas are out of touch with the rest of us)

LWJ:
A Taliban spokesman who identified himself as an “Authorized Correspondent by the Media Committee of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan” said that the Taliban will not renounce al Qaeda and that the terror group operates under the command of the “Military Command of the Islamic Emirate.”
The Taliban official, Abdullah al Wazir, made the statement today in response to a posting at Shumukh al Islam, a jihadist Internet forum linked to al Qaeda. Wazir was replying to a question from a forum member who thought “that by agreeing to negotiations with the United States, the Afghan Taliban has taken the ‘first step’ to abandon al Qaeda,” said the SITE Intelligence Group, which translated the statement.
“They [al Qaeda] are among the first groups and banners that pledged allegiance to the Emir of the Believers [Mullah Omar, the leader of the Afghan Taliban], and they operate in Afghanistan under the flag of the Islamic Emirate,” Wazir said.
“They are an example of discipline and accuracy in the execution of missions and operations entrusted to them by the Military Command of the Islamic Emirate,” Wazir continued, calling al Qaeda “lions in war.”
(well, if biden says the taliban are our friends, does this now mean al qaeda are now our friends?)

WASHINGTON, Feb 18 (Reuters) — Winning The Future. Greater Together. We Don’t Quit.
They may not be official but those are all phrases that could in one form or another be candidates to become President Barack Obama’s re-election slogan.
Advisers say a fresh slogan to replace the winning “Change we can believe in” mantra of 2008, is unlikely to appear before Obama knows who his Republican opponent will be and starts big campaign travel swings, likely in the spring or summer.
His campaign posters now say simply, “Obama 2012.”
But Obama’s surrogates have roadtested some slogans in recent months, including “Winning The Future,” which the White House used to promote its budget, and “Greater Together,” which the campaign has used to brand its youth outreach effort.
A new tagline will have to reflect a new reality.
Obama is no longer a Washington outsider, unemployment is falling but still high, and economic insecurity for many voters is a huge concern that a simple slogan cannot overcome.
Obama is aware of that difficulty. He still refers to his old slogan at campaign fundraisers, emphasizing the “change” he has achieved, while dropping lines that could be test runs for a pitch to convince voters to give him another term.
(guess he really, really, does not want to run on his record!)

NASHVILLE (AP) — A state panel on Friday unanimously approved credits for a law enforcement training course that critics have called anti-Muslim.
The Muslim civil rights organization Council on American-Islamic Relations is among those that have publicly denounced the “Understanding the Threat to America” course by the Strategic Engagement Group, a Virginia nonprofit.
“False and inaccurate training is ultimately counterproductive and could have a detrimental effect on officers’ ability to fairly police the community they serve,” reads a Tuesday letter from Washington-D.C.,-based CAIR to the state’s Peace Officers Standards and Training Commission.
The letter asks POST Commission Director Brian Grisham to investigate the appropriateness of the training and singles out trainer John Guandolo for scrutiny.
Guandolo recently told a Nashville audience that local mosques are part of the Muslim Brotherhood and do not have a right to con stitutional protections.
The training took place in Rutherford County, the site of a heated controversy over theconstruction of a new mosque that has led to court battles and the arson of construction equipment.
Members of the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office participated in the training earlier this week and asked the POST Commission to approve it so that deputies could use it as part of their required 40-hours-per-year of in-service training.

White House officials are trying to downplay the growing political damage caused by a shrinking federal statistic: the percentage of working-age Americans who actually have jobs.
The increasingly visible statistic shows that roughly 11 million working-age Americans are being excluded from the nation’s formal tally of 13.75 million unemployed Americans.
Today’s 2012 Economic Report of the President attempts to bury the statistic in a 448-page blizzard of statistics, jargon and reassuring comparisons. “In the last 23 months, businesses have created 3.7 million jobs,” says the upbeat report, released at 4 p.m. on a Friday afternoon by the President’s Council of Economic Advisers.
Democrats are touting downward ticks of the formal unemployment rate to 8.3 percent, but Republicans are making an increased effort to highlight the painfully low employment participation rate.

New MSNBC Host Sees Sharpton Show and Maddow Show as ‘My Old Testament And New Testament’
MSNBC’s newest host, leftist professor Melissa Harris-Perry debuts Saturday morning, creating an actual four-hour block for the radicals at The Nation magazine. Harris-Perry is on the cover of this week’s Metro Weekly, a gay D.C. news magazine. At the end of the interview with Chris Geidner, there’s this whopper: her bible is written by Al Sharpton and Rachel Maddow.
“Undoubtedly, a little bit of both. Look, I love Politics Nation with Al Sharpton and The Rachel Maddow Show. And, I can’t think of two shows on the same network that are more different in tone and content.” Then she said: “I see them as my Old Testament and New Testament. I really need them both. I need to smite my enemies, and I need to understand them. And then I need to smite them, and then understand them. I probably will do a little bit of both on my show.” But wait, there’s more.

(Guardian) — Officials in key parts of the Obama administration are increasingly convinced that sanctions will not deter Tehran from pursuing its nuclear programme, and believe that the US will be left with no option but to launch an attack on Iran or watch Israel do so.
The president has made clear in public, and in private to Israel, that he is determined to give sufficient time for recent measures, such as the financial blockade and the looming European oil embargo, to bite deeper into Iran’s already battered economy before retreating from its principal strategy to pressure Tehran.
But there is a strong current of opinion within the administration – including in the Pentagon and the state department – that believes sanctions are doomed to fail, and that their principal use now is in delaying Israeli military action, as well as reassuring Europe that an attack will only come after other means have been tested.
“The White House wants to see sanctions work. This is not the Bush White House. It does not need another conflict,” said an official knowledgeable on Middle East policy. “Its problem is that the guys in Tehran are behaving like sanctions don’t matter, like their economy isn’t collapsing, like Israel isn’t going to do anything.
“Sanctions are all we’ve got to throw at the problem. If they fail then it’s hard to see how we don’t move to the ‘in extremis’ option.”
The White House has said repeatedly that all options are on the table, including the use of force to stop Iran obtaining a nuclear weapon, but that for now the emphasis is firmly on diplomacy and sanctions.
But long-held doubts among US officials about whether the Iranians can be enticed or cajoled into serious negotiations have been reinforced by recent events.
“We don’t see a way forward,” said one official. “The record shows that there is nothing to work with.”
(guess it really is up to Israel to stop Iran. our islamic leader won’t do so, even when his own people say so)

Of course, stuxnet is still running rampant in Iran.
Islamic Republic facing difficulties obtaining anti-malware software due to international sanctions, Iranian intelligence official says
A senior Iranian intelligence official says an estimated 16,000 computers were infected by the Stuxnet virus.
The powerful virus targeted Iran’s nuclear facilities and other industrial sites in 2010, and Tehran has acknowledged the malicious software affected a limited number of centrifuges – a key component in nuclear fuel production. But Iran has said its scientists discovered and neutralized the malware before it could cause serious damage.
The semiofficial Fars news agency on Saturday quoted a deputy intelligence chief identified only as Ahangaran as saying 16,000 computers were infected by Stuxnet, but he did not specify whether worldwide or just in Iran.

No, this was not in any Star Wars movie…
Pro-lifers are trying to warn women about the dangers of turning to an organization called Women on Waves that advises women on how to obtain RU-486 and go through a self-abortion without medical advice or assistance. The organization’s site explains, “You do not have to tell the medical staff that you tried to induce an abortion. The symptoms of a miscarriage and an abortion with pills are exactly the same, and the doctor will not be able to see or test for any evidence of an abortion, as long as the pills have completely dissolved.”
Women on Waves, directed by Rebecca Gomperts, is the same group that set up an abortion facility on a boat and sailed to provide abortions offshore to countries where abortion is either illegal or limited. Since that floating abortuary sank off the coast of a South American country, Brian Clowes of Human Life International (HLI) tells OneNewsNow the abortion group has a new strategy.
“So now they’re going out there and they’re telling women to go to a pharmacist and lie about why you want to get a dozen tablets of Misoprostol, and go home and illegally use it to abort your baby,” he reports. “Then when you start to have a miscarriage, go to the hospital and lie again and say that you’re having a natural miscarriage.”

You just lift it out and the litter sifts it’s way back into the box and you then throw away the liner filled now with only cat shit. Just another seen on tv product that will be on the shelves of your local Walgreen’s in about two weeks max.

Now we are going to have a fight between the states. States of New York and Tennessee! I side with Tennessee…how about you?
Tennesseans have circled the wagons to protect one of their own arrested in the Big Apple for gun possession, and now New York motorists may want to keep a closer eye on their speedometers.Tennessee Vows Payback on New Yorkers After 9/11 Memorial Gun Arrest of Meredith Graves
In response to the arrest of 39-year old Meredith Graves for unlawful gun possession while visiting the newly opened 9/11 memorial, the Tennessee state legislature has taken action.
According to the New York Post, Tennessee’s state legislature has “declared civil war on New Yorkers“— at least when it comes to speeders in their state. State officials claim they may retaliate for the prosecution of a woman who was carrying an illegal pistol at the 9/11 Memorial.
A Knoxville-based legislator, who is also apparently a farmer by trade, is so upset over the Tennessee tourist’s gun arrest last month that he drew up legislation addressing it.
In response to the arrest of Meredith Graves, the Post says “his resolution condemns it as a grave miscarriage of justice— and reminds New Yorkers to “drive carefully” if we come visit.”
The Tennessee House resolution reads in part: “We remind the citizens of New York, especially those residing in New York City, to drive carefully through the great state of Tennessee, paying extra attention to our speed limits.” The resolution– which does not have the force of law even within the state of Tennessee, also requests the release of Meredith Graves, an outcome it claims common sense and sound judgment demand.

Suddenly, there is a lot of discussion about whether or not we live in a “post-racial society.” With the 2012 presidential election right around the corner, I can only conclude that, despicably, “race-baiting” will be a major component of the left’s and the White House’s Obama re-election campaign.
Recently, a black publication interviewed me for an article, the topic being “Is America a post-racial society?” Then, flipping through the TV channels, I caught a bit of two blacks on CNN discussing whether or not America is a post-racial society. It’s coming up everywhere lately.
I am just giving you a heads-up, folks. All this talk about a post-racial society, which sounds like it came out of a marketing strategy meeting, is designed simply to accuse all who are against Obama’s re-election of being non-post-racial. In other words, racist.
The post-racial discussion is absurd, divisive, and a waste of time — a distraction from real issues. The fact that America elected a black man to be leader of the free world confirms that Americans think post-racially. Blacks are only 12% of the U.S. population. Even if every black in America voted for Obama, without millions of white votes, Obama would not have been elected. Are we a post-racial society? Of course we are.
What I find so repulsive is that the left and the Obama administration are well aware of this truth. And yet, they will, without hesitation or conscience, double down on their efforts to inspire black hatred against white Tea Partiers and fuel white guilt to achieve their goals.

NBC, ABC, and FOXwasted no time in giving the South Carolina column to Newt Gingrich, projecting the former House Speaker primary winner as soon as the polls closed at 7 PM.
A Gingrich victory in the Palmetto State — unimaginable a few weeks ago — is meaningful for a number of reasons, not least of which is the fact that, since 1980, every Republican who has won the primary has gone on the clinch the nomination.
It’s an important precedent, but one which shouldn’t necessary be overestimated.
Some interesting observations which emerged from the exit polls include the importance of the Republican debates, which nearly two out of every three voters said affected their decision. Additionally, more than 50% of respondents said they had only made up their minds in the last few days.
As previously noted, Mitt Romney remains the national frontrunner for the time being, but tonight’s results may have a impact on his future standing. Voters in South Carolina, much like their counterparts in Iowa and New Hampshire, chose “electability” as their candidate’s most important quality. Given the result, Romney may no longer be the obvious Obama antidote in the minds of many Republicans.
Looking ahead to Florida, here’s how things stand now.
(I would love to see a Newt Gingrich/Rick Santorum republican ticket)
