Darwinism Hard at Work

Get two drunk drivers. Same road. Heading at each other. Darwin immediately goes to work and has them not only crash into each other, but kill each other. Thus clearing out two more drunk drivers off the road for good.

Maryland State Police say both drivers in a fatal wrong-way crash on an Anne Arundel County highway were under the influence of alcohol.

Police said Tuesday that toxicology reports showed that the drivers of the two cars that collided on Route 50 early Saturday, killing four people, had alcohol in their systems.

The three people in the car headed the wrong way, driver 19-year-old Brittany Ann Walker and her passengers, 18-year-old Breanna Marie Franco and 18-year-old Zachary Tyler Rose, were all killed. The driver of the other car, 55-year-old Terry Wayne Davis of Severna Park, died as he was being taken to a hospital.

The Government Can …. Great Remix of “The Candyman Can”

The Government Can lyrics

(Hey everybody! Gather ’round! I’m here to give you
anything you like! You want free college, money,
mortages?! Whatever you like! You have come to the
right place! Why? I’ll tell you why!)

Who can take your money? (Who can take your money?)
With a twinkle in their eye? (With a twinkle in their
Take it all away and
Give it to some other guy

The Government (the Government)
The Government can! (The Government can!)

Who can tax the Sun rise? (Who can tax the Sun rise?)
Who can tax the trees? (Who can tax the trees?)
Let you run a business and
Collect up all the fees

The Government can ’cause
They mix it up with lies and
Make it all taste good! (Make it all taste good!)

The Government takes
Everything we make
To pay for all of their “sollutions”
Healthcare, Climate Change, Pollution
[- From :http://www.elyrics.net/read/t/tim-hawkins-lyrics/the-government-can-lyrics.html -]
(Throw away the Constitution)

Who can give a bailout? (Who can give a bailout?)
Tell us to behave? (Tell us to behave?)
Make the Founding Fathers
Roll over in their graves

The Government takes
Everything we make
They’re power hungry
And malicious

The economics are fictitious
Soon we’ll have to eat our dishes
Mmm! Delicious!

Who can be a failure? (Who can be a failure?)
In so many ways? (In so many ways?)
Instead of getting fired, HEY!
We’ll give ourselves a raise!

The Government can ’cause
They mix it up with lies and
Make it all taste good! (Make it all taste good!)
And your government can ’cause
they mix it with lies and
Makes it all taste good! (Makes it all taste good!)

And I feel so good
Because the Government
Says I should! Oh!…

A bill is being proposed in Congress that would prohibit the Federal Government from using taxpayer money to fund ads attacking junk food, sodas, etc.

The basic premise is this: the FDA says those items are safe so the government has no business telling us what we should buy.

I have to say that I totally agree.

Want a Twinkie? The government shouldn’t spend any money to convince you not to eat it.

At least, that’s the premise behind a bill that was just introduced in Congress. The bill, written by Rep. Scott DesJarlais, R-Tenn., would prohibit federal money from going toward ad campaigns against foodstuffs and beverages that the feds consider safe and legal.

“I don’t think it’s the federal government’s (role) to try and regulate people’s habits on products that were deemed safe by the FDA,” he told FoxNews.com. “The government is reaching too far into our lives in trying to regulate personal habits.”

DesJarlais introduced the bill following a flap in New York City over an anti-obesity subway poster. The ad showed a man on a chair who appeared to be missing a leg, with crutches in the background. “Portions have grown,” the ad said. “So has Type 2 Diabetes, which can lead to amputations.”

But as The New York Times first reported, the man in the ad actually has both legs — and the ad agency for the New York City Health Department had simply taken a stock image of the unidentified individual and edited out one of his legs.

DesJarlais cited federal statistics that show $230 million in federal stimulus money went toward anti-obesity campaigns. The grants funded projects across the country, from Los Angeles to Boston. Roughly $15 million went to New York City.

DesJarlais claimed the subway ad was stimulus-funded. The city Health Department did not return a request for comment.

Liberals Believe in Separation of Church and State–But Only for Everyone Else

By Matthew Sheffield | Newsbusters
On the same day that President Obama tells the National Prayer Breakfast crowd that Jesus told him to enact ObamaCare, his staunchest ally in Congress declares that she will stand against the Christian community and support Obama’s decision to order Christian organizations to violate their conscience and bow down to ObamaCare.

Talk about irony.

On the one hand, Obama declares that he would be “remiss” if his Christian values “were limited to personal moments of prayer or private conversations with pastors or friends,” and that he must make sure his values “motivate me as one leader of this great nation.”

On the other hand, Pelosi – a professed Catholic – declares that Catholics must accept government limiting their faith to very kind of “personal moments of prayer or private conversations” that Obama described.

The U.S. Military Academy at West Point is going forward with a scheduled prayer breakfast next week, despite the controversy over the originally scheduled keynote speaker.

As previously reported on OneNewsnow, Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin (USA-Ret.) decided to withdraw from speaking at the prayer breakfast after the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and several left-wing groups pressured the Academy to disinvite him from the event. They claimed that allowing the former Army special operations commander to speak would be disrespectful to Muslim cadets. Now the Academy has announced a West Point chaplain will be the keynote speaker.

Boykin says the majority of the leadership in the U.S. is unwilling to confront the reality of what CAIR and other radical Islamic groups are doing.

“So instead, they reach out to these people and they give them a lot of credibility. I think the bottom line is that the [country's] leadership is afraid of them,” he suggests. “I think they’re afraid of terrorism. I think they’re afraid to take them on because of the liberal media. The media is going to support the enemy. That’s the bottom line — the mainstream media is.”

That is why the former intelligence officer says people of faith must be willing to take a stand.

WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP) — On the same day a report revealed the names of a number of top donors to presidential campaigns, President Barack Obama spent time with around 25 wealthy donors who paid $35,800 each to talk with him behind closed doors at a Washington hotel.

The hourlong fundraiser Friday afternoon at the upscale Jefferson Hotel near the White House was closed to press coverage.

Obama has been courting donors large and small as he revs up his re-election campaign in anticipation of a tough general-election campaign once Republicans settle on their nominee. The president raised more than $220 million for his re-election campaign and the Democratic National Committee in 2011.

(and yet, this is normal to the MSM, while super pacs and donors to the conservatives is always wrong!)

Now the weather here? Got snow overnight, maybe about 1/2 inch max.

But it started early this morning snowing.

Still snowing, coming down heavy.

Just gorgeous out there!

Little over an hour ago, someone came by and cleared the sidewalks and the parking lots here. Right now, they are covered yet again, this time with more snow that was removed!

This is the kind of day it is okay to stay indoors and just look outside. Or go outside and just enjoy the view.

Our dog Coco is not too happy about the snow, but she will still go out into the yard a few feet and do her business then run right back in! Crazy dog.

Snow should be about 4 inches, maybe up to 7 inches, by the time it stops. Which should be in another hour or so according to radar. And I know that can change in a few minutes.

And this snow does make one think of images like this:
