Well, there goes holder, obama and liberal screamings about how voter id is so racist! Like a poll tax! See, Texas is not afraid of fighting the assholes that run our federal government!
Testimony has concluded in the trial of Texas ‘Voter I.D.’ law, after attorneys for the state demolished the main arguments raised against the law by the Obama Administration, and got the key witness for the Justice Department to admit he got his information from Wikipedia, 1200 WOAI news reports.
The Justice Department presented what it said was evidence that as many as 1.5 million Texans don’t have the government issued photo i.d. required to vote, but Attorney General Greg Abbott says of the people on that roll, 50,000 are dead, 330,000 are over the age of 65 and can vote by mail, where a photo i.d. is not required, and more than 800,000 are on the list improperly.
Among the people who the DOJ listed as ‘lacking the required documentation needed to vote’ are Former President George W. Bush, San Antonio State Senator Leticia Van de Putte, and Licia Ellis, who’s husband, Houston state Senator Rodney Ellis, on Wednesday blasted the voter i.d. law as ‘just like the racist murder of James Byrd’ who was dragged to death in east Texas in 1998.
In fact, University of Texas students conducted a telephone survey of random people on the DOJ’s list of people who allegedly don’t have the documents required to vote, and found that more than 90% of them, including 93% of African Americans and 92% of Hispanics on the list, actually have a photo i.d.
Which brings us to Victoria Rodriguez. The San Antonio teenager was the only individual in a flurry of ‘experts’ the Department of Justice called to the stand to represent the 1.5 million allegedly set to be disenfranchised under the Texas law. Rodriguez testified that she not only lacks a photo i.d., but lacks the documentation need to obtain one, and State Rep. Trey Martinez Fischer said requiring her to pay to obtain those documents would amount to an illegal ‘poll tax.’ Under cross examination, Rodriguez admitted that she has a birth certificate, a voter registration card, and a Social Security Card, and only two of those three forms of i.d. are required to obtain a free voter i.d. card offered by the DPS. Rodriguez testified that she ‘doesn’t have time’ to go the DPS office to obtain the voter i.d. card, but she testified she had plenty of time to fly more than 1500 miles to Baltimore, catch a train to Washington DC, and sit for hours in a federal courtroom to testify about how unfair the Texas voter i.d. law is.

I was heartened to see a Breitbart story that called out the anti-Israel group, Committee For Peace in Israel and Palestine, for producing a demonstrably false ad that is appearing on the walls and billboards of the NYC Metro System. But that emotion lasted only a moment, because Breitbart, as well as most of the leading trafficked right-leaning blogs and news sites, continues to miss the real story.
While NYC METRO gladly approves these false ads, they continually harass, harangue and block The American Defense Initiative and Stop Islamization of America from running any counter ads.
William Bigelow of Breitbart writes -
Although the Jewish community has protested the ads, the MTA will not remove them — even though they are factually inaccurate.
Don’t stop there Mr. Bigelow. Please tell the full story. This ad, and various iterations (after many tweaks and changes decreed by NYC METRO) was turned down for being inflammatory.
Here is the statement of Henry Clifford, talking about his own anti-Israel ad that was approved by NYC METRO -
“If the facts are inflammatory, then they are inflammatory.”
The story here is not that METRO ran an anti-Israel ad. It’s that the government is operating on an un-level playing field and picking and choosing ads based on, what appears to be, their own political leanings.
PLEASE REPOST THIS STORY ON YOUR OWN BLOGS AND THEN TWEET IT

The House Energy and Commerce Committee has been holding hearings on the “No More Solyndras Act,” designed to prevent repeat performances of President Obama’s horrendously expensive “green energy” failures. The Acting Executive Director of the Energy Department’s Loan Program Office, David G. Frantz, dropped by to demonstrate why this Act is so urgently needed.
Rep. Cliff Stearns, chairman of the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee, asked Franz if he would agree that “the Loan Guarantee Program has had a tough record.”
Frantz replied, “Quite to the contrary, sir, I think it’s been an enormous success.”
There have been so many “successes” that it’s hard to keep track of them all: Solyndra, Beacon Power, Abound Solar, Nevada Geothermal Power, Ener1, A123, SunPower, First Solar, Evergreen Solar, Solar Trust for America, Fisker Automotive… every one of them swimming in a thick “success” gravy of bankruptcy and layoffs.

Tired of journalism’s glamour and prestige, I decided to take a second job last week. I went to Amazon.com’s Mechanical Turk website—a sort of virtual job fair matching thousands of businesses and online workers—and got a microtasking gig. It didn’t take long. I filled out a few forms, proved I was a live, human being with a functional email address, and Amazon put me to work. My first assignment was for an employer called “CrowdSource” and the task was to type a provided search term into Google, click on the first result, and copy that page’s URL into my work page.
Microtasking
David Clark
I have no idea what function this job could possibly serve, except to help someone game, or learn to game, the Google search algorithm. But I wasn’t getting paid to think. I was paid to type, click, copy, and paste. I completed eight of these microtasks in less than two minutes. I was paid 16 cents. Or rather, I will be paid 16 cents at some later date—provided that CrowdSource turns out to be a legitimate operation that pays its bills. Which, in the world of microtasking, is not a guarantee.
Welcome to the digital economy.

From James Lewis at American Thinker:
In my never-ending effort to understand the liberal mind, I’m beginning to scribble down nutty sayings from the liberals I happen to run into. I call it Libs say the darnedest things.
This idea started for me a couple of weeks ago, when a lefty cat-lady (a big demographic) told me with a hypnotic stare, “There are no facts.”
Wow. Floored in one. I was left gaga. Couldn’t figure out what to say that would get through her concrete space helmet.
So I staggered off and had a drink.
This one has gone viral in the lefto-psychosphere. You get 2,560,000 google hits for “There are no facts.”
Such little mindworms tell us about our age of ignorance and superstition.
Obama has contributed his own pearls to the genre, like “The private economy is doing fine” when unemployment is at 8.2%, about 7% of American workers are underemployed, and another big chunk are on permanent disability, making for about 20% of the work force not working.
Wow.
The Bamster is an endless fountain of oddball quotes, and half the country doesn’t notice anything wrong. At least Jimmy Carter got bitten by a killer rabbit.
Heard about Obama’s Relativity Theory of the U.S. Constitution? It’s really true.
A couple of years ago, the Washington Post boasted about Obama’s brilliance as a student at Harvard Law. Just to prove the point, a WaPo reporter cited Professor Larry Tribe’s thank-you footnote for Obama, in an article claiming that Einstein’s Relativity Theory applies to the U.S. Constitution. It appears that constitutional time and space can be twisted around heavy objects, like the heavy-duty intellects of Barry and Larry, twin stars of the legal cosmos.
Or something.
Obama is pretty awful, but Joe Biden…well, that’s shooting ducks in a pond.
Here are a few I’ve picked up. Please add your own in the comments below.
1. A couple college-educated libs talking about insecticides that are safe to use around pets: “It’s organic. It’s safe.”
The organic poisons that will kill you include arsenic, apple seeds, cherry leaves, unsoaked kidney beans, cassava roots, and uncooked potato skins. But they’re organic! They can’t hurt you!
This is sheer, unvarnished superstition, straight from the Dark Ages. Every other liberal believes it.
Or how about…
2. “My kids will have free health care for life.”
Told to me by a rich but really eccentric lib, with two unemployed children in their 30s living in San Francisco.
Guess why they can’t find jobs. Right.
3. “Marijuana is a medicine.”
The PubMed biomedical database has 648 scientific articles on the toxicity of marijuana. It seems that maryjane can trigger schizophrenia in some teenagers, and that it may cause “paranoia” (severe anxiety) in chronic users. Countries like Egypt and India have used bhang for centuries and have long linked it to low-level depression and poor motivation. Cannabis makes male mice infertile. Smoking rather than chewing bhang causes clouds of burn particles to get into your lungs with every breath you take. That’s one reason why cigarettes cause lung cancer. It’s not the nicotine; it’s the burn particles in the smoke.
The only nugget of truth in this urban myth is that synthetic THC can help manage the pain of some cancers in carefully controlled doses with near-perfect purity. But the marijuana plant in your backyard has thousands of molecules beyond THC, with completely unknown effects, different toxins in different plant varieties, and hitting your lungs and bloodstream in totally uncontrolled amounts. It’s a crapshoot.
Scientists aren’t allowed to study people smoking joints, but about 100 million Americans are running their own trials at home. In about ten years we’ll find out what happens to them as the cumulative effects of decades of dope-smoking start to take their toll. Baby-boomers may actually end up saving Medicare, because they may go down long before Social Security runs out. I don’t think that’s good, but self-inflicted ignorance carries a high price.
A lot of modern America makes more sense when you realize that tens of millions of people are getting chronically stoned on mind-altering drugs. Alcohol is not hallucinogenic. Being a drunk is bad enough, but now you can have 57 varieties of mind-altering chemicals at your local high school.
The media won’t tell you if a popular drug is toxic, because they’re the biggest dope fiends around. Ever wonder why celebrities seem to die before their time?
Here’s another stunner.
4. “I voted for Obama because Hillary is too white.”
This one came from a young, unemployed man in 2008. He still doesn’t have a job, is still living on Mom’s income, but can’t figure out why.
Another collectible:
5. “It wasn’t really rape-rape.”

Sanity prevails despite the unpatriotic leftists in the town of Wrentham:
CBN NEWS – Massachusetts state officials have reversed one town’s ban on American flags.
The housing authority in Wrentham had banned American flags after a tenant made “repeated” complaints over the Fourth of July holiday.
They posted notifications on the doors of residents on Wednesday, telling them their flags would have to go.
Soon after than, a man began taking down flags from residents’ homes in one housing complex in Wrentham.
He refused to comment when homeowners asked what he was doing, saying only, “I was called to say to remove it.”
The ban drew the ire of Republican Sen. Scott Brown, who lives in Wrentham. He said he was “deeply disturbed” by the move.
“Flying the American flag should never be controversial, and no citizen should ever be prevented from doing so,” Brown said.
The Massachusetts Department of Housing has now issued a statement saying the town’s policy was “a mistake that is being corrected immediately.”

Obama’s Interior Department Still Going Rogue…
The Obama administration’s loathsome cowboy, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, won’t take no for an answer. He’s been smacked down repeatedly by federal courts for imposing a draconian, junk science-based moratorium on the oil and gas industry. Yet, the job-killing zealot and his boss just introduced another ruinous offshore drilling ban two weeks ago.
The White House rationale for the renewed crackdown? Because we said so.
Thomas Pyle of the D.C.-based Institute for Energy Research reports that the Salazar scheme “reinstitutes a 30-year moratorium on offshore energy exploration that will keep our most promising resources locked away until long after President Obama begins plans for his presidential library.” Instead of working to enhance our energy independence and free up abundant natural resources, the Obama administration has worked tirelessly to close off access to nearly 86 billion barrels of oil on America’s Outer Continental Shelf alone.
The latest plan involves the interior secretary’s authority to auction oil and gas leases and to oversee oil and gas research and exploration on the OCS. Pyle explains that the “2012-17 plan leaves out the entire Atlantic and Pacific coasts and the vast majority of OCS areas off Alaska. It cuts in half the average number of lease sales per year, requires higher minimum bids and shorter lease periods, and dramatically reduces lease terms.”
The official Obama for America slogan may be “Forward,” but the Salazar-Obama anti-drilling regime leaves America behind. National Ocean Industries Association President Randall B. Luthi told the Oil and Gas Journal (an industry publication): “This deeply disappointing ‘no new access’ plan does not reflect the comprehensive, ‘all of the above’ energy policy touted by the administration, nor does it keep pace with the energy policies of foreign nations that are expanding their offshore access to develop badly needed oil and gas.”

Gingrich: Obama’s welfare reform rewrite ‘almost certainly illegal’
David Gergen Shocker: Obama Is ‘Playing a Very Rough Form of Politics’ Counter to What He Promised
###
The Department and Health and Human Services announced the agency will issue waivers for the federal work requirement of the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program — considered a central facet of welfare reform in 1996 — Thursday.
The “Information Memorandum” states that the agency will be issuing waivers for TANF’s work participation requirements for parents and caretakers as a way to find new approaches to better employment outcomes.
“While the TANF work participation requirements are contained in section 407, section 402(a)(1)(A)(iii) requires that the state plan ‘[e]nsure that parents and caretakers receiving assistance under the program engage in work activities in accordance with section 407,’” the memo, signed by HHS Director of the Office of Family Assistance, Earl Johnson, explained. “Thus, HHS has authority to waive compliance with this 402 requirement and authorize a state to test approaches and methods other than those set forth in section 407, including definitions of work activities and engagement, specified limitations, verification procedures, and the calculation of participation rates.”
The goal, according to the memo, is to improve employment outcomes by “encouraging states to consider new, more effective ways to meet the goals of TANF, particularly helping parents successfully prepare for, find, and retain employment.” HHS will also require states to provide a method for evaluation and monitor progress.

Thanks to House Republicans, the U.S. taxpayers are no longer funding UNESCO.
(MFA) — The Foreign Ministry of the State of Israel today expressed its shock and consternation at the news that UNESCO is establishing a Chair at the Islamic University of Gaza.
The Islamic University of Gaza is a known greenhouse and breeding ground for Hamas terrorists. Only last month, the University’s Dean of Koranic studies openly called for the Islamic conquest of the Vatican and of Spain
UNESCO’s motto is that “It is in the minds of men that the defenses of peace must be constructed,” yet the Islamic University of Gaza is poisoning the minds of men for the cause of terror.
Scientists and Academics at the University double as Hamas technocrats. The Islamic University serves as an employment program and intellectual retreat for Hamas leaders. The University conducts lectures on Hamas’ radical ideology and concentrates on hostility to Israel; Hamas uses Gaza University laboratories to develop and produce explosives and rockets and has even run a course on explosive making. The university is a warehouse for weapons and a venue for secret meetings of military leaders.
UNESCO continues to damage its reputation. After establishing the Obiang prize, UNESCO is now establishing a chair linked to a terror organization.
Hamas and the Islamic University believe in extremism, violence and terror – not Education, Science and Culture. That UNESCO should choose to establish a chair in such a University damages further UNESCO’s reputation and it creates uncomfortable and inappropriate bedfellows.

This man we call our president is just got to get booted out this november! To use his official office and his official aircraft to fundraise! He really could care less about the laws of our land, he thinks he can do anything he pleases (and if anyone says anything, they are called racist!).
The disclosure that President Obama made a fundraising call from Air Force One while returning from a recent trip to Colorado focused attention again on the legal tightrope any president has to walk while running for reelection and still wielding the many White House perks at his disposal. His aides were quick to point out that a special phone had been installed on the presidential aircraft for such political uses. But the call came as Republicans were already howling at what they see as a blurring of the line.
Their complaints were at their loudest earlier this year when Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus filed a complaint with the Government Accountability Office alleging that the president is fraudulently billing the government for blatantly political travel. But if Priebus hoped to stall the Democratic campaign, there is no sign of Obama tempering his use of Air Force One since Priebus ran to the GAO on April 25. In the 79 days since that complaint, the president has flown to 17 states. In only one of those states — Missouri, where the president gave a high school commencement address in Joplin on May 21 — was there no political flavor to the visit. In the others, fundraisers and openly partisan events dominated the schedule. And the itinerary closely matches the 2012 political map. He has gone to New York four times and three times each to closely contested Ohio and contribution-rich California and Illinois. He also has gone twice each to the politically pivotal states of Florida, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Colorado, Iowa, and Nevada.
