The Lefts believes Skittles should not make money

This is absolutely absurd, but then this is how the left pinkos and the black brethren think. Now they think that Skittles should actually donate! Just because they racists mother-f*ckers pushing this killing so hard are buying skittles! Oh well, what the hell I say.

Talk about unintended consequences.

After reports saying that Arizona Iced Tea and Skittles candy were found next to Trayvon Martin’s dead body, both products have become symbols of the 17-yr-old’s killing. They have both seen increased sales due to the repeated mentions in news coverage as well as people purchasing the products to show solidarity with the family or mark the death of Trayvon.

Spike Lee is someone who knows about the power of Tweeting. Over a week ago, Lee posted a tweet that encouraged people to send Skittles to the police in Sanford, Fl.

Should Skittles Be Forced To Donate Profits From Trayvon Sales?

That post was re-tweeted many times over. Websites supporting last week’s “Million Hoodie March” also instructed those who could not attend to send bags of Skittles to the police chief.

As you might imagine, sales of Skittles are on the rise. There is now a call for the companies that make both Skittles and Arizona Tea to donate money to either the parents of the dead boy, or to a scholarship fund.

The “Gay” bullies are at it again. All their talk about tolerance is a myth. They are all about compulsion. There is no disagreeing with the homosexual lifestyle. Anyone who does is engaged in “hate,” a favorite practice of the fund raising machine of the Southern Poverty Law Center.

The goal of the homosexual bullies is to shut down all dissent. There can’t be any discussion of homosexuality unless it is full acceptance. Anyone who disagrees will lose everything. The latest example of gay-hate has been leveled at an apparel manufacturer in Lexicon, .

A homosexual group has filed a discrimination complaint against Hands On Originals: Christian Outfitters after the company refused to honor a bid to produce apparel for an event.

NORFOLK, Va. — A Navy warship built with steel salvaged from the wreckage of the World Trade Center left Norfolk on Tuesday on its maiden overseas deployment.

The amphibious transport dock New York is part of a three-ship group that will spend at least six months patrolling the Mediterranean Sea and Arabian Gulf, training alongside the military forces of various allies and responding to political and humanitarian crises.

The amphibious assault ship Iwo Jima and the dock landing ship Gunston Hall, which along with the New York make up what the military calls an amphibious ready group, also departed Tuesday from Norfolk Naval Station and Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek, respectively.

Cmdr. Will Herrmann, commanding officer of the New York, is a native of Long Island – and nephew of a New York City firefighter. He said the ship represents everything the nation has overcome since the 9/11 attacks. Its bow incorporates more than 7 tons of steel taken from the rubble of the twin towers.

Tell you, the left just loves to find ignorant reasons (or they make up their own ignorant reasons) to do a boycott!

Katy Perry transforms herself into a U.S. Marine in her latest power-pop single, “Part of Me,” which addresses female empowerment and pays particular tribute to service women.

However, at least one media type doesn’t support Perry’s Marines shout-out.

Prominent feminist Naomi Wolf, author of “The Beauty Myth” and one of many who were arrested amid the Occupy Wall Street protests last year, is urging Americans to boycott the singer, labeling her video “a total piece of propaganda for the Marines.”

“I really want to find out if she was paid by them for making it,” Wolf wrote on her Facebook page. “It is truly shameful… I would suggest a boycott of this singer whom I really liked – if you are as offended as this glorification of violence as I am.”

The map charts state-by-state differences in Gallup’s Religiosity Index, which is based on respondents’ answers to questions about the importance of religion to their everyday lives, and how often they attend religious services. The study notes that:

Residents of Southern states are generally the most religious, underscoring the validity of the “Bible Belt” sobriquet often used to describe this region. Coupled with the Southern states in the high-religiosity category is Utah, the majority of whose residents are Mormon — the most religious group in America today. On the other hand, residents of New England and a number of far Western states tend to be the least religious.

With the help of my Martin Prosperity Institute colleague Charlotta Mellander, I took a look at some of the key economic, cultural, and demographic factors that might be correlated with religiosity on a state-by-state basis. Our analysis focuses on the percent of state residents Gallup classifies as “very religious.” As usual, I note that correlation only suggests associations between variables; it does not imply what causes what. An additional caveat should be kept in mind: Gallup notes that its research suggests that religiosity is only loosely related to demographic factors and is more closely tied to specific state subcultures.

That said, religion remains a key fault line in American life.

Noam Chomsky on human nature and climate change

Why can everyone learn Portuguese? Are some aspects of our nature unknowable? Can you imagine Richard Nixon as a radical? Is Twitter a trivializer? New Scientist takes a whistle-stop tour of our modern intellectual landscape in the company of Noam Chomsky.

Let’s start with the idea that everyone connects you with from the 1950s and ’60s—a “universal grammar” underlying all languages. How is that idea holding up in 2012?

It’s virtually a truism. There are people who misunderstand the term but I can’t deal with that. It’s perfectly obvious that there is some genetic factor that distinguishes humans from other animals and that it is language-specific. The theory of that genetic component, whatever it turns out to be, is what is called universal grammar.

It can’t be true. These people are genetically identical to all other humans with regard to language. They can learn Portuguese perfectly easily, just as Portuguese children do. So they have the same universal grammar the rest of us have. What Everett claims is that the resources of the language do not permit the use of the principles of universal grammar.

by Erik Rush…the aftereffects of the sub-prime mortgage crisis, violence on our border with Mexico, the Occupy movement, assaults on religious freedom and free speech by the administration and activists, and the implausible organization and mobilization of fringe malcontents into politically active groups. These developments can all be traced (as I’ve recently indicated) to Obama’s political roots, which are borne out by his policies, his associations and his affinity for such doctrines as Black Liberation Theology and Critical Race Theory.

The specter of a communist takeover of the U.S. still remains singularly preposterous to millions of Americans who would quickly come to arms if they actually believed it a possibility. I’m not entirely certain how President Obama proposes to suppress those who would rise up against him were his intentions to become widely apparent, but I believe that part of the plan is to factionalize us (such as is occurring over the Martin case and Occupy Wall Street). I believe he’s also counting on deepening economic adversity to heighten Americans’ collective stress.
