It’s a curse for this guy who started doing so after hip surgery.
His wife and kid are not happy campers about it.
The path to gaining eternal happiness has long since eluded man, but apparently it can be achieved through something as simple as a hip surgery. Meet Huug Bosse, a Dutch man who had hip surgery a couple of years ago, and hasn’t stopped laughing since. His wife finds it annoying, his brother and daughter have become exasperated, but all Mr. Bosse can do in response is slap his knee and laugh uncontrollably.
His laughter is infectious, I myself started to giggle aloud after watching the video about him. But it does get a little silly after a while. And imagine having to live with a person laughing in the house all the time. It must be impossible to hold serious conversations with the man, and that must be quite taxing for his family. The cause for his condition isn’t exactly clear, but it’s probably due to the anesthesia he was placed under, during the operation. In spite of all the mirth, there still is one thing that can move Mr. Bosse to tears. He calls it the most beautiful song – the Dutch national anthem. Perhaps they should have it playing in the background whenever they want to get a serious word out of the man.
Bosse’s wife says he was a normal man before he had his hip-replacement surgery, in 2010. Apparently the anesthesia he was under during the operation is to blame for his uncontrollable laughter. Although his daughter and brother don’t even visit him anymore because of his constant chuckling, Huug Bosse himself doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with him. He considers it normal for a person to have a change of personality, and says his clients think he’s the sweetest person in the world… His wife says he’s always had a sense of humor, but over the last two years he has been laughing all day long.
Former Vice President Dick Cheney gets a new heart. The leftists go into hyper mode and attack him, his family and just anybody else connected with this.
Only in America can you have people (leftists) who can use foul language like these idiots do.
Former Vice President Dick Cheney was recovering on Saturday after undergoing heart transplant surgery, a once risky procedure whose survival rates have improved over the years.
The 71-year-old Republican, who wielded unprecedented power as vice president during the George W. Bush administration’s war on terrorism, was in the intensive care unit at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia.
Cheney, who has suffered five heart attacks, the first at age 37, had been on the cardiac transplant list for more than 20 months before he received the heart from an anonymous donor.
“Although the former vice president and his family do not know the identity of the donor, they will be forever grateful for this lifesaving gift,” the spokeswoman, Kara Ahern, said.
According to the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, about 88 percent survive the first year after heart transplant surgery and 75 percent survive for five years. The 10-year survival rate is about 56 percent.
Cheney’s transplant followed a series of procedures in recent years to extend the use of his heart. Cheney had bypass surgery in 1988 and later had two angioplasties. In 2001, he had a defibrillator implanted in his chest.
Dick Cheney got a new heart. Again, the comments are very telling about the leftists.
One reason why our education system sucks! Time really to get rid of the union that protects assholes like this.
In Rhode Island a teacher accused of fixing grades resigned …. and got $545,000!!!!
A hefty severance deal has been reached involving a school boss accused of “fixing” an athlete’s grades on Long Island. The school superintendent has agreed to resign, but will continue to be paid for two years.
The South Country Central School District voted to accept the resignation of its superintendent, who is accused of raising a football star’s grades to get him a college scholarship, reports CBS 2’s Carolyn Gusoff.
Joseph Cipp Jr. will resign with $545,000, his salary for the next two years, but questions linger over his role in getting Ryan Sloan into Syracuse University.
Some think the deal sweeps the scandal under the rug.
“There has been a conspiracy in our school district and it’s not in the best interest of the taxpayers or our children,” school board member Lisa DiSanto Grossman said.
One man said he knows grades were changed. He was asked to make the changes, refused, and was fired as principal four days later. He said the message was clear to him.
“The message to me clearly was that this particular student had to have a particular grade and I was approached by particular individuals and asked as to my influence over certain people,” Kevin O’Connell said.
Broadly distributed contraception won’t reduce unintended pregnancies, though many resist this conclusion. Not to be deterred, herein I offer a new approach to demonstrate this fact.
Before walking through the numbers, let’s identify the assumptions made by those who believe that more contraception will reduce unintended pregnancies. For reduction to be the case, (a) contraception must actually reduce the pregnancy risk of new users, and (b) such users’ level of sexual activity must not increase materially. The first statement is obviously true. The second is true as well because any meaningful increase in sexual activity may offset the effect of contraception, which fails predictably, and result in an increase in unintended pregnancies.
Put differently, the belief that new contraception reduces unintended pregnancies relies upon the assumption that “they’re doing it anyway” — that humans are in perpetual heat and are bereft of self control or dignity. Thus, the theory goes, only with the great overlay of contraception will the herd of libidinous humanity avoid unintended pregnancies. Or, as James Lileks put it:
… free birth control protects women from the adverse impact of a strange, mysterious situation that affects millions every year: sudden-sex syndrome. We don’t fully understand how it works, or what the causes might be, but apparently there’s nothing you can do about it. All of a sudden you’re just having sex! There’s not a moment to exercise free will or consider the consequences; it’s just like being struck by lightning[.]
It boils down to this: few people go on contraception without planning for increased sexual activity, whether it be from none to some or some to more. What is important and typically glossed over in Guttmacher-type analyses is that a person’s new embrace of contraception represents a change in sexual plans. This fact is a source of unintended pregnancies, particularly in the case of first-time contraception users.
Now the numbers.

Desperate Housewives may be coming to an end, but actress Eva Longoria’s side career as an Obama campaign surrogate is booming.
The actress bashed Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney in a series of appearances this week on cable news.
“Of all the candidates Mitt Romney is on the wrong side of every issue pertaining to Latinos,” Longoria said in an interview with Andrea Mitchell.
Though Longoria admitted President Obama has disappointed some Latinos, she claimed Obama has had “his hands tied by Congress.” The actress did not mention that Democrats controlled both houses of Congress for the first two years of Obama’s presidency.
This is not the first time the actress has publicly defended the president.
In September 2011, Longoria defended Obama’s record during an appearance onJimmy Kimmel Live, and said “an extremist movement” has held the president back.
“He just keeps getting beat up lately because there is such an extremist movement happening and it’s a very dangerous,” Longoria said. “For me it’s very dangerous because it’s not the character of America, it’s really under attack. And he has been governing in a state of emergency since the time he went into office so we haven’t really seen him do what he can do.”
We are funding this shit organization with taxpayer money? Someone in congress needs to stop this shit NOW!
It’s breaking and entering for dummies.
Picture the Homeless, a Bronx nonprofit that has received at least $240,000 in taxpayer money in the last five years, is giving a crash course on squatting — and city-owned buildings are a prime target.
Two weeks ago, board member Andres Perez held a teach-in on how to wrest “control” of vacant apartments. He called it “homesteading.”
“The best time to enter a building is in the late hours,” he advised a group of about 20, who gathered in front of the half-empty East New York housing complex Arlington Village.
“You make sure you have your proper tools. You remove the chains and padlock, and then you go in.”
He then led them through the next steps — including filling out a change-of-address form at the post office and setting up utilities. After that, “nine out of 10 times the courts will allow you to be able to have control of the property,” he said.
Really, to my way of thinking, for the president of the USA to inject himself into this is being very irresponsible and reckless to inflame racial tensions just so he can to score political points with the black members of our society.
(The Hill) — Senior Obama advisor David Plouffe said Sunday that Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich’s comments about the president’s reaction to the controversial killing of African American teenager Trayvon Martin were “reprehensible.”
In an interview with the conservative talk show host Sean Hannity last week, Gingrich accused the president of injecting race into the incident and called Obama’s statement that “if I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon” was “disgraceful.”
In his first pubic remarks about the incident, which occurred almost a month ago, Obama said of Martin’s family Friday, “I can only imagine what these parents are going through.
“When I think about this boy, I think about my own kids and I think every parent in America should be able to understand why it is absolutely imperative that we investigate every aspect of this and that everybody pulls together, federal, state and local, to figure out exactly how this tragedy happened,” Obama said in remarks at a Rose Garden ceremony after unveiling his nominee for the World Bank.
The man who has admitted to shooting Martin, Florida resident George Zimmerman, has claimed he was acting in self-defense. Both Obama and Gingrich referred to the case Friday as a “tragedy,” Gingrich, though, added that Obama’s comments suggested it would have been less sad if the victim had not been an African-American.
If you all remember Herman Cain’s 9-9-9 plan.
CNN’s Howard Kurtz On Trayvon Martin: How Can MSNBC Allow Al Sharpton To Cover This? Because they want high ratings among the racist left and the blacks.
Let us hope that they do the right thing and listen to the people (for sure, obama and his regime are not, and neither are the democrats in congress).
Possibly the biggest Supreme Court case in memorable history goes before the nine justices tomorrow morning. Townhall will be there covering it in detail.
There are massive issues that the Court will take up, such as whether the individual mandate is acceptable under either the commerce clause or the necessary and proper clause. There are smaller details, such as whether or not the mandate is a tax or whether the Medicaid expansion is an unreasoble burden on the states.
It’s expected that the four liberal justices will hold together in a bloc. Souter, Ginsberg, Sotomayor and Kagan will vote to uphold the law. Conservatives, then, are worried that they’ll be able to peel off any of the others – Kennedy is considered the swing vote, but there’s concern that Roberts or Scalia could break as well.
No matter what, the Court’s opinion will come out in the summer, which might have a huge effect on the 2012 election. Whether or not the decision is acceptable to the American people, it’s going to be seen as either an affirmation or rejection of President Obama’s health care law.
Speaking of the above decision to come out, I believe that really, the Supreme Court should be on a term limit, and should be filled by the congress and no input from the president. Same with the federal judges!
