Transgender beauty queen kicked out of Miss Universe

Get out: Transgendered Miss Universe Canada finalist Jenna Talackova has been disqualified

A beauty pageant has booted a contestant out the competition after discovering the buxom blonde was born a boy.

The Miss Universe Canada organizers threw out Jenna Talackova when they found out she had undergone surgery to become a woman.

The transgendered contestant had already successfully reached the finals in the Miss Vancouver pageant before she was banned from continuing in the competition.

Although the pageant organizers described Talackova as a ‘real girl’ they disqualified her arguing that the rules state that each contestant must be a ‘naturally born female.’

According to Denis Davila, the national director of Miss Universe Canada, Talackova claimed on her registration form she was born a female.

Obamacare: Nancy Pelosi Was the Only Honest Democrat

Growing up , my friends used to tell me that the worlds biggest lie was “the check is in the mail.” Since the election of Barack Obama my friends were proven wrong many times over and most of those lies were told in defense of the President’s signature program; Obamacare.
In the final days before affront to personal liberty was passed the Congressional Black Caucus tried to gain a political advantage by telling lies about the tea party, but those weren’t the worst lies.
There was one truth–according to then Speaker Nancy Pelosi we wouldn’t know what was in the bill until it was passed.  She was right. In the two years since Obamacare was passed we learned exactly what was in the bill, tons of lies.
Below are just some of those lies:
‘If You Like Your Plan, You’ll Be Able To Keep It:
The Wall Street Journal: “The law could leave more than half of employers without a grandfathered plan in 2013, the draft estimated. Its worst-case assumption is that 80% of small-employers will lose grandfathered rights by 2013. New plans would have to comply with all the bill’s requirements; grandfathered plans could avoid elements such as limits on cost sharing.” (“Draft Health Rules Set Hurdles,” The Wall Street Journal, 6/12/10)
Obama Administration: “Under this assumption, the Departments’ mid-range estimate is that 66 percent of small employer plans and 45 percent of large employer plans will relinquish their grandfather status by the end of 2013. The low-end estimates are for 49 percent and 34 percent of small and large employer plans, respectively, to have relinquished grandfather status, and the high-end estimates are 80 percent and 64 percent, respectively.” (Federal Register, Vol.75, No.116, P.15-16, 6/17/10)

Beltway Confidential:

President Obama described domestic oil production as “a key part of [his] energy strategy” despite the multiple measures his administration has taken to limit oil and gas production in the United States.

“Now, you wouldn’t know it by listening to some of the folks running for office today, but producing more oil at home has been, and will continue to be, a key part of my energy strategy,” Obama said today in his weekly address. “Under my Administration, we’re producing more oil than at any other time in the last eight years.”

The president uses the word “we” very loosely. Some private citizens are driving an oil boom, no doubt, but oil production on federal lands plummeted over the last year, according to a new report from Obama’s Department of Energy (DOE). The Congressional Research Service also reported this week that “96 percent of the increase in oil production since 2007 has occurred on non-federal land.

Oh, he does lady, he does!

BreitbartTV:

Speaking at Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow Push Coalition, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi addressed recent comments by Newt Ginginch referring to Obama as the “Food Stamp President” because more Americans have fallen into poverty and had to seek government assistance. According to Ms. Pelosi, this was a “Badge of Honor”

The Creative Minority Report

The former president said that he complained to the Pontiff about the Church’s “perpetuation of the subservience of women” while Blessed John Paul II was visiting the US in 1978, and “there was more harshness when we turned to the subject of ‘liberation theology.” Carter said that he classified the Pope as a “fundamentalist,” placing him in that category along with Iran’s late Ayatollah Khomeini.

Hot Air

Granted, her ratings have always been solid among Republicans. And granted, comparing the favorability of someone who isn’t running to the favorability of two candidates who have been tearing each other’s throats out every day for months is apples and oranges. Even so, Ian Lazaran at Conservatives4Palin makes a fair point: As a Not Romney with appeal to evangelical and non-evangelical conservatives alike, she probably could have given Mitt more of a run for his money than Santorum has.

Sarah Palin is now once again better liked than any of the actual candidates. 68% see her favorably and only 20% unfavorably.

“The fact that Sarah Palin is now more popular than any of the Republican Presidential candidates is a real sign of the toll the campaign has taken on all of the contenders’ images,” said Dean Debnam, President of Public Policy Polling. “Meanwhile Rick Santorum is struggling and would really need a major change in the race — like Newt Gingrich dropping out — to reverse his fortunes.”

By Christopher Orlet – American Spectator
The state extinguishes another one of the thousand points of light.

Soon a group of Catholic nuns and other do-gooders will have to find something less meaningful to occupy their time.

For years, religious charities and nonprofits like Let’s Start, Mothers and Children Together, and Parents and Their Children have been doing God’s work, organizing free bus trips that briefly reunite imprisoned mothers and their offspring. The grandparents who look after these orphans (for it is almost always a grandparent and not a spouse) say money is too tight to afford a journey to the prisons in faraway Chillicothe or Vandalia.

For many of these Good Samaritans these bus trips were often the most meaningful work they have ever done. State lawmakers, however, will soon put an end to that.

Last week the Missouri House voted 126 to 23 to begin a two-year, $100,000 test program requiring the Department of Corrections (and taxpayers) to provide monthly transportation for kids to visit dear old mom in the slammer. The program was the brainchild of Rep. Penny Hubbard, a Democrat whose north St. Louis district is well represented in Missouri’s stockades. According to Hubbard, cutting off kids from their mothers punishes innocent children.

While the state is creating new programs left and right, might I propose another? Legislators should be required to take an introductory course in logic. It was the mothers and their misdeeds (and not the Department of Corrections) that cut off these mothers from their children.

Mean old Republican Kurt Bahr of St. Charles was one of the few lawmakers to vote against the bill. Bahr said charities were already filling the need, so the state’s involvement would be redundant. Despite Missouri’s budgetary crunch, Democrats and Bahr’s Republican colleagues overwhelmingly disagreed.

I sent the program’s sponsor, Rep. Hubbard, an email in which I expressed my bewilderment. “Aren’t charities like Let’s Start, PATCH, and Mothers and Children Together, and others already filling this need? And are they not doing so with compassion and personal involvement? Do you think an indifferent, clock-watching bureaucrat will provide better service?”

Needless to say, I did not get a response.

However, I think I know what Rep. Hubbard would have said: To hell with charity. Poor Missourians have a right to free transportation to visit their mothers or fathers in the hoosegow.
