Your Rights According to Hitler (OOPS.) Meant to Say Obama

Well, really….hitler - obama. Different skin color. Different times. Different country. But damn, the similarities are so close! Obama and Hitler and Stalin all at the same time would have been the trifecta of mass murderers. Yes, obama is a mass murderer by allowing thousands of babies to be murdered every single day! Yet he cries about 20 kids killed at a school. But funds the murder of babies while he wants to ban guns. Something wrong there.

After requiring religious organizations to cover their employees’ contraceptive costs under Obamacare, and just hours before President Barack Obama trampled on the Second Amendment through 23 executive orders, the White House released an official statement, naming January 16,2013 “Religious Freedom Day” and touting the President’s respect for religious and constitutional rights.

The statement, released this morning and signed by Obama, reads in part:

“Foremost among the rights Americans hold sacred is the freedom to worship as we choose. Today, we celebrate one of our Nation’s first laws to protect that right — the Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom. Written by Thomas Jefferson and guided through the Virginia legislature by James Madison, the Statute affirmed that ‘Almighty God hath created the mind free’ and ‘all men shall be free to profess . . . their opinions in matters of religion.’ Years later, our Founders looked to the Statute as a model when they enshrined the principle of religious liberty in the Bill of Rights.”

“As we observe Religious Freedom Day, let us remember the legacy of faith and independence we have inherited, and let us honor it by forever upholding our right to exercise our beliefs free from prejudice or persecution.”

The White House should have added,“Except from your own government.”

Obama: Do What We Can to Save One Child, But Infanticide Okay

President Barack Obama today showed the kind of care and regard for human life when it comes to the issue of guns that he never has when it comes to abortion.

The tragedy at Sandy Hook can never be overstated — children died and teachers and staff died attempting to keep them save. There are no words that can properly convey how senseless the loss of life was that fateful day in Connecticut.

President Obama seems to understand this tragic loss of human life.

“Because while there is no law or set of laws that can prevent every senseless act of violence completely, no piece of legislation that will prevent every tragedy, every act of evil, if there’s even one thing we can do to reduce this violence, if there’s even one life that can be saved, then we’ve got an obligation to try,” he said today in remarks about the shooting and announcing new executive orders promoting gun control.

Obama went as far as to quote from the Declaration of Independence and its establishment that people have an inalienable right to life.

“That most fundamental set of rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, fundamental rights that were denied to college students at Virginia Tech and high school students at Columbine and elementary school students in Newtown; and kids on street corners in Chicago on too frequent basis to tolerate; and all the families who never imagined they’d lose a loved one to — to a bullet, those rights are at stake. We’re responsible,” he said.

“Let’s do the right thing. Let’s do the right thing for them and for this country that we love so much,” the president concluded.

But, isn’t the right thing also protecting children from the violence of abortion? Contrast Obama’s heartfelt remarks with these, from his days as a an Illinois state senator — where he went out of his way to defend his position against a law that would provide legal protection and medical care for babies who survive failed abortions.

Obama essentially argues that there is no need for the law because he trusts abortion practitioners to provide medical care for the baby they unsuccessfully tried to kill in an abortion.

Someone stopped by searching for “why the push to ban high capacity magazines?”

Primarily, because standard capacity magazines cannot be replaced quickly enough for most gun owners to avoid being entrapped by the law.

For example, New York’s Cuomo has just banned standard capacity magazines for some twenty million guns in his unfortunate State. Those guns range from virtually all .22 rifles that are not single shots to a few extended capacity shotguns.
