90 Day Fiancé: Jibri Reveals He Left High-Paying Job To Be A Musician

New 90 Day Fiancé star Jibri Bell has recently shared on social media that he left a high-paying job to instead pursue his dream of being a musician. Jibri appears on 90 Day Fiancé season 9 alongside his Serbian fiancé Miona Bell. The two fell in love and became engaged while Jibri was traveling in Serbia, although they did not spend much time together in person before doing so. Jibri prides himself on being unconventional and standing apart from the crowd, often wearing bright colored clothing and bedazzled cowboy hats. He lives in Rapid City, South Dakota with his two parents, where Miona joined them.

Through Jibri and Miona’s storyline, viewers were introduced to Jibri’s band, Black Serbs. Jibri formed the band along with his good friends Daveed, Brandi, and Space Cash, and they create what Jibri refers to as space punk music, a mix of both punk rock and electronic beats. In fact, Jibri had been touring in Serbia with the Black Serbs when he first met Miona. While the band is featured on the show, it appears that the group is currently inactive, as they last posted on social media back in January 2020.

In a recent Instagram post, Jibri revealed to his followers that he left a high-paying job at a real estate office to pursue his music career. Jibri explains that in 2017 he was working in real estate in Chicago, but his sizable income didn’t bring him joy. “I made the most money I ever had on paper…however I was miserable,” the 90 Day Fiancé star said on Instagram. Because he was so unhappy, Jibri decided that this would be the last time he would stay in a job he didn’t enjoy. Jibri’s heart had always been in the music industry, so that is what he ultimately decided to pursue.

Jibri continued his story saying that he was proud of himself for where he was at with his music, even though he still has a lot that he would like to accomplish. Jibri also took the time to dedicate the message to his followers, telling them to never stop chasing their dreams and expressing that he was proud of them. “As cliche as it sounds if you have a dream please put gasoline on that fire!,” he said to encourage fans. While Jibri has been involved in his fair share of controversy on 90 Day Fiancé,  it is clear that he is very dedicated and driven when it comes to his music career, which fans respect.

Jibri is not the first 90 Day Fiancé cast member to use the show as a platform for their music. Evelyn Cormier, who was featured on 90 Day Fiancé season 5, went on to grow her singing career after the show, even appearing on American Idol season 17. Infamous Usman “Sojaboy” Umar also gained a large following as a result of his time on the franchise during 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days seasons 4 and 5While Jibri is still new to the 90 Day Fiancé franchise, fans can expect to see more music from him both on and off screen.
