Protesters in Portland marched to a government building Tuesday night, smashing windows and setting an office ablaze in what authorities called a riot.

The demonstrators descended on the Multnomah Building, which houses county government operations, and hurled rocks through the front glass doors while setting fires outside the building, officials said.

BALTIMORE — A member of Baltimore’s Safe Streets Program has been federally indicted on drug distribution charges.

Ronald Alexander, 50, was last released from federal prison in May of 2018 after serving 240 months behind bars on previous drug convictions.

Prosecutors say the Safe Streets member was back at it again in May of this year, prompting DEA agents to tap his phone and track his van.

A ‘justice for Darius Sessoms’ Facebook group that was apparently started by a troll to bait BLM supporters was shut down after numerous members began actually expressing sympathy with the African-American man charged with shooting a 5-year-old boy in the head.

Earlier this month, Cannon Hinnant was gunned down at point blank range by Sessoms for the ‘crime’ of riding his bike on the convicted felon’s property.

Americans seem to make sport of almost anything, and today’s example is no exception.  Several sportsmen made lemonade out of lemons when it came to the invasive species of fish dubbed Flying Carp that’s been plaguing southern boaters since the 1970s, and have reached as far north as Minnesota.  Silver Carp, or Asian Carp, are termed Flying Carp because they literally fly out of the water when startled by a boat motor. The carp in question have caused injuries to boaters and have raised concerns over the aquatic ecosystems they’ve invaded.  People have taken to catching them with nets in the air, hitting them with baseball bats, and shooting them with bow and arrows… and most recently, shooting them with shotguns.

A video going viral showing a vow renewal ceremony being interrupted with a warning that Oahu’s beaches are closed to COVID-19.

As part of Mayor Caldwell’s new rules, you can traverse beaches to get to the water, but cannot congregate or stand.  Mokihana Iida from Waimanalo says she was warned by a police officer while she was going to boogie board.

So she says she wasn’t having it when she saw a wedding ceremony happening on the beach.  Iida took out her phone and confronted the small ceremony, saying “Aloha the beaches are closed.”

The government agency responsible for Bay Area transportation is planning on dramatically expanding tolling on freeways in the region, as revealed in an interagency letter seen by SFGATE.

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission stated in the correspondence, sent to to the directors of the Bay Area’s county transportation agencies (CTAs) earlier this month, that they envision an “eventual transition to congestion pricing on all freeway lanes in corridors with robust transit options.”
