Country music firebrand and fiddler Charlie Daniels, who had a hit with “The Devil Went Down to Georgia,” has died at age 83.

A statement from his publicist said the Country Music Hall of Famer died Monday at a hospital in Hermitage, Tennessee, after doctors said he had a stroke.

A 13-ton shipment of beauty products such as weaves suspected to have been made out of human hair was seized on Wednesday by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the Port of New York/Newark.
