Wootz Steel is a resource in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes that players can use to upgrade their armaments and weaponry, increasing their effectiveness in combat. In particular, this material can be used to refine Hero Relics at the Blacksmith. Wootz Steel is considered to be a “metal that is both light and durable,” making it a perfect resource for strengthening armor and weapons in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes of the correlating type. Therefore, players will need to learn how they can acquire this material if they wish to enhance their units’ combative capabilities.
Players have several options to get Wootz Steel in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. However, most of them boil down to the same method — fighting in battles. While players are able to expand their camp and interact with their character in various activities, participating in combat is a core element in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes that players will be performing for the majority of their playthrough, no matter the chosen story arc.
During these battle stages, players will find several glowing items across the battlefield. Picking up these glowing nodes rewards players with a variety of valuable materials, including Wootz Steel. Furthermore, at the end of the stage, players will also view a screen of all the materials they received as rewards in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes for their efforts. Likewise, Wootz Steel can be one of the items on the list.
One kind of mission players can participate in to earn Wootz Steel are Paralogue quests, unique combat scenarios that become available depending on the characters present in one’s roster. If the player has these units, they can enter the mission. However, if the required characters have not been recruited or have perished in battle, players cannot participate in the Paralogue mission. Nevertheless, completion of these quests can reward fans with Wootz Steel.
While players are fighting the enemy forces during a battle stage, a Demonic Beast or giant monster may appear as a third-party combatant. While it might not be necessary for stage completion, slaying these creatures also has a chance of granting the protagonist Wootz Steel. Finally, finishing Survey Spots and their correlating Side Quests in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes might spawn an NPC merchant, with whom players can purchase various items, such as Wootz Steel. Of course, the goods are usually random, so players cannot always expect the resource they desire will be available. However, once adventurers have the Wootz Steel they need, they can return to the Central Plaza of their camp and speak with the Blacksmith to repair, forge, or enhance their equipment in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.
