NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A protester at the State Capitol reportedly fell down a set of steps at the State Capitol on Saturday, as Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers were confiscating his bullhorn and planning to take him into custody.
According to Tennessee Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 12 p.m. Troopers claim the protester appeared to be under the influence and was using a bullhorn very close to a trooper’s face. A trooper took the bullhorn away from him and started to remove the bike rack barrier to take him into custody.
NEW YORK (WABC/CNN) – The family of a 26-year-old Black woman who died during an emergency C-section at a New York City hospital is demanding answers, as they raise her daughter without a mother.
Demonstrators gathered alongside Washington’s family outside the hospital with signs that read “Black Birth Matters,” and celebrities like Amy Schumer have posted on social media about the case.
What’s wrong, the protesters say, is a system that is statistically bleak for mothers of color.
COTTON COUNTY, Okla. (KFOR) – Trash bags full of marijuana were discovered over the weekend in a Cotton County creek, officials say.
On Sunday around 3:30 p.m. the Cotton County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a large amount of trash bags in Cache Creek west of County Road 2560 and 1850.
SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – Governor Gavin Newsom has extended the closure of bars and indoor dining statewide, and has ordered gyms, churches, and hair salons closed in most counties as coronavirus cases and hospitalizations keep rising.

WESLEY CHAPEL — Two armed intruders were shot dead and a third was wounded when a homeowner fired on them early Friday, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.
The homeowner said he was inside his home playing video games when at about 12:43 a.m. he heard the glass of his laundry room door shatter, according to a sheriff’s report. He saw an arm reach inside to unlock the door. Then the homeowner said he saw a masked man walk in and aim a gun at him.
The homeowner said he grabbed his Glock 9mm pistol, which was just a few feet away, and fired several times at the intruder. He saw the intruder fall down, the report said.
COWETA COUNTY, Ga. – A Coweta County father is under arrest for aggravated assault after what he did to a man he found in his 14-year-old daughter’s bedroom.
Investigators say they are sympathetic with the dad’s anger, which included knocking out some teeth, but say he crossed a legal line when firing shots as the man ran away down the street.
