“When only the police are armed, what you have is a police state.”
Today in 1775 – American Revolution: British general Thomas Gage declares martial law in Massachusetts. The British offer a pardon to all colonists who lay down their arms. There would be only two exceptions to the amnesty: Samuel Adams and John Hancock, if captured, were to be hanged.

Project Veritas on Tuesday released a third installment of the #ExposeAntifa series, in which members of the militia wing talk about abolishing everything, including the police.
A professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, says he was suspended from his job after refusing a student’s request to effectively cancel final exams for black students amid protests over the death of George Floyd.
“I have been placed on involuntary leave for three weeks, and it looks like it may end up being more than that,” Gordon Klein, who teaches accounting at the school, told The Post.
Klein — whom students slammed as “racist” and “dismissive” — was also placed under police protection at his Malibu home after receiving threats from critics furious over the email exchange, the Free Beacon reported.
Ghana, considered a gateway of the brutal slave trade to the United States that began more than 400 years ago, is urging “unwanted” Americans of African heritage to resettle within its borders in the wake of the police killing of Minnesota resident George Floyd.
During a memorial and wreath-laying ceremony in honor of Floyd last Friday, Ghana’s Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture Barbara Oteng-Gyasi invited African Americans to “re-settle in Ghana if they feel unwanted” in the United States, the Independent Ghana news outlet reported.
PLACERVILLE, Calif. (KTXL) — In Placerville, the nickname “Hangtown” can be seen all over town, including on a Mexican cantina, a leather shop and a gun range.
But after the in-custody death of George Floyd in Minneapolis and the nationwide protests denouncing racial injustice that followed, some in the historic Gold Rush town say the old nickname now carries a new insensitive meaning.
The “Old Hangtown” nickname can even be found on a sign that welcomes visitors to Placerville but a new petition is calling for its removal, saying it’s offensive.
(CNN) – There is a chance Army installations named after Confederate military commanders could undergo a name change.
Army officials say U.S. Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy and Secretary of Defense Mark Esper are open to holding a “bipartisan conversation” about renaming nearly a dozen major bases and installations that bear the names of those associated with the Confederacy.
Luckily, President Trump shot that shit down:
WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump on Wednesday said his administration will “not even consider” changing the name of any of the 10 Army bases that are named for Confederate Army officers. Two days earlier, Defense Secretary Mark Esper indicated that he was open to a broad discussion of such changes.
If you’re dumb enough to pay hundreds of dollars for a simple USB stick with just 128Mb of storage in hoping that it will protect you from the “devastating effects” of 5G, then you deserve to be scammed.
Here at OC we’ve always refrained from judging people for their actions, but we draw the line at paying for anti-5G products. Just the other day I was reading a story about some guy in Seattle making hundreds of dollars by selling anti-5G lotion to people dumb enough to believe it actually worked. It was most likely fake news thought up by some The Onion copycat, but today I woke up to this little gem – a real anti-5G product called a “5GBioShield”, which reportedly sells for a whopping $350. If you shell that kind of money to protect yourself from thin air, you really are dumb!
