When laundry powder manufacturers want clothes to appear “whiter than white” they add a trace of blue dye. When hair dye manufacturers want hair to appear blacker than black they add a trace of blue dye. Blue is both a white intensifier and a black intensifier.
Yea this is SF, LA, and San Diego with a few other larger cities. Drive thru the Mojave, or the redwoods, Yosemite, drive along the PCH in between the cities and towns, drive up 99 or I5 thru farm & dairyland then you’ll see what California really is.
But yes the dems who live in the major cities have fucked it up and reduced it to this thought of it. Its become socialistic and royally fucked that even the wealthy and large corporations are bailing ship. It used to be a red state. From the civil war to the 1930s it was Republican then swapped, then Republican in 1952 to 1992. Since then it’s been dem along the coast while inland has been Republican, but since the coast and big cities have the majority the rest of the state doesn’t count.
Hell LA is trying to take the farmers water so they can water their lawns (maybe not that but move the water down south), but if they do that their multi billion dollar agriculture industry will start to shrink. California is the world’s 5th largest supplier of food, cotton fiber, and other agricultural commodities. In the U.S., California is the largest producer of food despite having less than 4% of the farms in the country. They raked in 20 billion more than the next closest state and produce more cash receipts that all the states from NM up to MT all the way back to the Pacific coast.
The 77,000+ farms & ranches produce 13% of the US agricultural by itself and ¼ of that is shipped worldwide. Average profits for these were 100k with the average farm being around 400 acres.
I love my old state. Only place you can go to the desert, snow covered mountains for skiing/snow boarding, big metropolitan cities, and go surfing all in one weekend and travel only a few hundred miles. Alas, the politics have ruined the once great state. I’m hoping I see it swing back to red before I die.
